I can't praise this villa enough. We've just returned from Villa Elia having spent a week - and I cried when I had to leave, it was just perfect.
The villa itself is spectacular, the view breathtaking and the pool was wonderful, especially in the afternoon when the sun had moved a little over in the sky. The water temperature was lovely - like a lukewarm bath. Even warm during the night (went for a quiet swim with my hubby when the kids had all gone to Ipsos clubbing). The view is breathtaking - just couldn't stop leaning over the highest balcony and just taking in the view and sighing. Heaven was Villa Elia for our week.
Weather fantastic - only thing, if you have the master bedroom on the top floor - keep the shutters closed once you've left the bedroom for the day - it'll keep the room cooler for you. We didn't do this, and it proved to be a bit warm, although there was a ceiling fan and air conditioning (as there was in all rooms).
Cost us quite a lot as there were seven of us (and hubby and I were paying) but didn't begrudge a penny as it was wonderful - as I said earlier I cried when it was time to leave. Have a brilliant time when you get there - you lucky ducks. Myra.
