Very nice resort and hotels. However as built on reclaimed swamp lots of mosquitoes and other biting insects. I sprayed am and pm still got more than 50 bites. Hotel not for couples as 2 children under12 go for free and there are lots of them, running about at all times of the day and night, even after midnight. The dining room is no place for a quiet dinner more like a school canteen. Lots of choice available but you need to be disciplined some people go for every thing sometimes it seems on one plate! There is a beach bar that serves food for lunch which is good but pricey, it stays open until 1am,but no place for a romantic drink overlooking the sea because there are small children running all over, and it is noisy.
There is a dine around facility which we used to escape the hot and noisy dining room, but it is not such a good deal as your meal vouchers are only worth 8 euros each, in some of the very nice restaurants a starter is 5-15 euros! Definitely not a place for couple, we didn’t manage a bed by the pool or a swim in the pool in the 2weeks we were there.
The staff are brilliant and have a difficult job give them 10 out of 10, holiday only 5.

This is the place for 'couples to go to get to know each other', as the waiter told us on our opening night. The views are breath taking, the food is superb and the staff are extremely hospitable. Approximately 10 bars and 10 restaurants are on offer throughout the complex ensuring variety and plenty to see and experience. Although we were booked as half board, the food on offer at the buffet is not that satisfactory so we took advantage of the meal tickets we were given that enabled us to use the 'dine around' facility where you are given 6 euros discount per person per meal.
A lot of our time was spent at the Marina chilling out at one of the numerous bars or restaurants, looking out at the yachts and boats or observing the masses of fish that inhabit the waters. There is a nightclub called Nautilus that is open till 3 on a nightly basis if you fancy dancing the night away to the sounds of DJ Alex, who is more than willing to accommodate your every musical need.
There are excursions available if you can be bothered to venture out of the vast complex. We had no time or energy to make use of these but they are at your disposal. The entertainment is mostly in German but is entertaining enough for a hotel. The pianist in the piano bar is very talented and she hasn’t got a bad voice too.
With regards to the sun loungers, it seemed a general tactic for most of the guests to get about three towels each and strategically plant one at the pool bar, and one on each of the beaches - ensuring they had areas 'reserved' for them throughout. This was very annoying as we always got up late (being creatures of the night) but something that you should take into consideration.
The beaches are mainly sandy, with some pebbles and rocks in the mix. The tide doesn’t fluctuate too much and the sun loungers only go one deep so best to get in early if you want to get a nice spot.

There is no town here, just the large resort of Sani, which comprises of the main hotel, villas and more upmarket rooms around the small resort port of Sani.
Hotel was very nice, facilities brilliant, but being upmarket all extra’s were expensive. Food was brilliant but repetitive, i.e. big buffet spread. You need to have fish one day, lamb the next, then a salad, etc. I could not hold back and had a bit of everything every day !!! MY FAULT.
My kids were 4 and 2 and loved the free kids club run by the hotel. Multi-lingual staff who were brilliant even though we went late in the season.
The supermarket is expensive (it is on the port side), as expected, buy your alcohol from other nearby towns (hotel runs cheap trips daily). Greece is expensive now the Euro is on board.
Fantastic pool with gently shelved lagoon areas for the younger kids. And a separate pool next door for kids only.
Hotel is right on the coast, with a good sandy beach for kids and a more stony beach for better snorkelling.
We hired a car for 3 days out of our two weeks holiday, and saw many more beaches, cheaper shops and great ruins (mosaics) near by.
Great holiday which we scored as a late bargain deal, highly recommended, upmarket so expensive for drinks with meals, but overall excellent. Out of main season, pool and beach was quiet, and in the evenings we often had beach to ourselves.
Eat for free in two restaurants, both excellent, or get vouchers towards price of food in many other restaurants in resort.

Just returned from this hotel. We wanted a quite lazy week away with good service, which is what we got.
The hotel is very clean, the food and staff were excellent. The whole complex is kept clean and tidy. The staff were always pleasant and friendly.
Only down side was the pool was freezing cold , it was much warmer in the sea.
The entertainment in the evening was limited but acceptable. Not a location for lots of nightlife and bars, but great if you want good beaches, and a hotel with great food and service.

Without doubt, Sani Beach Hotel is situated in a glorious location of outstanding beauty with spectacular views. However, for family holidays on a half board basis I would urge a little caution based on our recent experience. As you would expect, during peak season the hotel is very busy and this causes the restaurant to take on a rather 'cattle-market' feeding frenzy. Seating at the windows is hard to come by and the lack of adequate air conditioning means eating can be an uncomfortable experience. At the busiest times the self service areas are like Piccadilly Circus and the waiters seem to have an obsession with removing your plate if it’s left for even a moment. There is a large selection of food on offer, of good quality, although after a week even the variety becomes repetitive and the same old favourites appear on a regular basis (spag bol, chips)
This hotel is great for a relaxing holiday by the pool but be warned that you’ll have to be up really early to get a pool sun bed (and then stay with it until 9am as the hotel operates a strict towel removal policy on empty sun beds). There is practically nothing for kids to do in the evening and the entertainment on offer, provided mostly by the hotels own entertainment teams, falls someway short of what you’d expect from such a prestigious resort.
The 'dine around' experience does not live up to the expectations presented in the brochure and the hotel’s vouchers go only a little way to cover the cost of a meal. The marina, whilst beautiful, lacks sparkle and only offers a cinema for evening entertainment. A visit to the Sani Beach Club, involves a trip on the shuttle bus for which places can’t be guaranteed at busy times.
All the hotel staff were friendly and helpful but the weariness of having to fight for your food in the self service restaurant, the lack of effective air conditioning, the tiresome task of one of us having to be up as early as 07:00 to secure a pool sun bed and the absence of things for kids to do in the evenings means we wouldn’t return. Shame, because it occupies a beautiful spot and the staff really are welcoming.

We had 2 weeks in this hotel, 4 star definitely not! Food was mostly geared towards the Germans, when we did get chicken it was scrag ends and raw. We ended up eating out after a few nights as the local restaurants were far better.
On arrival the wardrobe door was extremely difficult to open and shut and very small, on opening the balcony door I stood with the handle in my hand. The lifts broke down about 5 times while we were there, not funny as we were on floor 12 right at the top (fantastic views though). Rooms cleaned daily. In the restaurant it was difficult to get a table, when you did you had to tidy it up and fetch your utensils yourself.
Pool too small for size of hotel, impossible to get a sunbed unless you were a very early riser. Beach sunbeds charged at 18 leva, 2 beds and a parasol, just over £6 for a day. Sunny Beach - Bulgarias answer to Benidorm.
