All in all a relaxing honeymoon for my hubby & I after a lovely wedding day. I went previously on my own in May 2005. I loved it then as Arillas is lovely bay, quiet & relaxing & plenty of walks to do & explore. (which I like doing). I stayed there when it was the eurovision songcontest & went to celebrate it with the owner of the bar & a couple of his mates. We had a fantastic friendly stay.
I did my own thing. The locals were friendly & the brits who come ere are friendly too. I sat & had meals with lots of em, chatted had a drink with them etc. I wanted to experience been a lonely traveller before I hit the big 30 mark to say I have done that. The only thing is about been a lonely traveller is when it comes to applying suntan lotion its difficult to do it yourself lol. But still then enjoyed it. After a brill time I said to myseld I will bring my husband here one day. That time came 2 years down the line in 2007 & stayed in the same apartment as before cos its so lovely with the vines drapping down from our apartment.
Had a fab honeymoon, but be warned the midges are about this time of month (july!!!) So be prepared. I wasn't much prepared as all our efforts were on the wedding then the honeymoon. A tip get some lemons & squeze em all over yourself before you go out & it distracts them. Got bitten a lot of time, but didn't spoil our honeymoon.
The beach is shallow & on the far righthandside of the beach past the rocks its a lovely experience.
Apartements are good, but the one couple who were next to us got a bad one. They only kind of what I would call a standard room with everything in it with no garden or windows for lights. We had 2 balconies & very spacious. So when booking word of warning ask what you want most. These couple were disappointed, but we werent as I knew what accommodation I was in before & stated that I wanted that again & got it.

We stayed at Elena Stella apartments for the whole of September 2008, and are firm friends with owner Olga Vigli, who run's Olga's Travel in Arillas. There is a lovely pool, which my wife used every day - spotlessly maintained and a pleasure to be in. Me - I swim in the sea....
Set in beautifully planted grounds, there are many gorgeous trees and shrubs to stare at. It is situatd away from the "noisier" parts of the village, but in easy reach of everything. Nowehere is "noisy" but the two bars do play music until midnight in the centre. Ideal for a laid back, peaceful, silent-night stay.
We had a ground floor apartment with two bedrooms and bathroom. Rather large for justus two. Normal Greek accommodation, well tended and cleaned. Mini kitchen (too many good places to eat to ever use it) and a shower room. Plenty of fresh linen and homely, welcoming feel. Even the local dogs adopted us and visited regularly. We thoroughly enjoyed.
There is an ad hoc bar service next to the pool - mostly this was help yourself and leave the money. Typically Greek, and value for money.
