Stayed at San Fermin for a week in April. Very disappointed with the room, it was very shabby. One of the bed covers had a repair in it, it looked as if somebody had burnt a hole with a cigarette. If only they had invested in some new covers for the beds, it would have made all the differnce. The rooms could do with a freshen up,perhaps a coat of white paint would be good, but couldn't fault the cleaning of the rooms. They always smelt fresh and were spotlessly clean. Most of the staff were polite and helpful. Upset that they were charging 2 euros for each sun bed, which works out 28 euros for a week for 2 persons. I have never paid for sunbeds before in any hotel. Food was excellent though, lots of choice and plenty of it. It could be a bit noisy during the day,the music was very loud at times around the pool, stops you having a siesta.

- Advice: Refurbishment of the rooms would encourage more people

waw what an amazing time we had! me and my best friend booked this holiday last minuite we are only eighteen and was a little worried about the nightlife and because this holiday was cheap we where worried the hotel would be horrid etc.Overall the sttaff were very friendly it had good entertainment at night and the food was acceptable serving a few local dishes.Lets just say it was bearable!!Extremly clean and a great maid srvice. The night life was crazy!the 24 hr square was great. We met lots of cool people and it was one of the best holidays ever!San fermin had security and looked after their guests quite well and had no rules for partying as long as we were safe.I would recommend this hotel to all people.Families party animals and the elderly.

hotel was clean with good maid service(every day) ,pool area clean and spaciouswith grass (welcome change to tiled flooring)only niggle was paying 2euros for a sunbed, dont bother buy a lilo its just as good.entertainment was good but was spanish/french orientated not really a problem as you are in spain and not skegness. dont expect a hot breakfast but you do get a good variety, evening meal is a lot better nice and hot with acouple of meat dishes and a fish dish every nite.overall a lovely pleasent hotel with good grounds ,nice pool and pleasent staff i will no doubt be going back ,just a word about its location it is up cardiac hill which is about 300metres long and a little steep but stop half way up and have a pint in the albatross its english and food is cheap and very nice.ENJOY WE DID

Just returned from a 1 week stay at the San Fermin. I read all the reviews prior to departure but was still a little disappointed.
The room was adequate, if a little small. We were a party of 2 grandparents, 2 parents and 1 6 year old. The hill is not as bad as some make out although my mum (75 years old) was not always impressed!
We stayed b&b (thank god!) as, although there is a lot of choice, the beans, sausages, beans etc were dreadful - and I’m not a fussy eater!
The pool's shallow end was too deep for my 6 year old to touch the floor. The flies around the pool were very annoying. The lift to floors 5+ were dreadful - small, stuffy and to be honest, frightening at times.
Spent most of our time at the Hotel Triton on the sea front, and wished we'd paid that bit extra to stay there. Parking was a joke, and as we'd hired a car, this was an issue.
The entertainment was a joke. Contrary to prior reviews, it was 99% aimed at the Spanish guests, and the British were not included.
The nightlife, restaurants etc are on the beachfront, (although not a million miles away from the hotel) you may as well book a decent hotel for a decent holiday.
Sorry, guys who have already booked, you will probably enjoy your holiday, but feel that you could have and should have done better.

Taken all round the hotel is fairly good. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The problem is the food is dreadful. If we had just been using the hotel without the restaurant it would have been fine, but the food was bland, very little choice and very poorly presented. Even though we were half board after looking at what was on offer in the restaurant we decided to eat out and this made the holiday more expensive than it should have been.

This hotel is great I’m only 15 yet I found the facilities, the food, and the staff at the hotel were all great.
The indoor pool gym and sauna are all great. The beach is only 10 mins away and it is a great beach as well. All sorts of shops at a matter of minutes away including pubs and restaurants.
The one and only problem I found about this resort is that the hill isn’t really suitable for older people or mothers and fathers with young children. All in all great hotel.

This is a lovely hotel, perfect for families and couples alike. The hotel is spotless, activities many and fun and a good selection of food for everyone.
It is a 10min walk to the beach and what a beach-beautiful. The only reason it didn’t get a 10/10 is because it is situated at the top of a hill-bit of a problem for pushchairs and wheelchairs. Overall- absolutely amazing!!!!

when we arrived it was brilliant, got a pool view as requested and the pool area was quiet and peaceful, which stayed that way until the weekend. as soon as it hit saturday and sunday it was as if every spanish child within a 50 mile radius showed up at the hotel for a pool party. it was maniac and the peace and quiet was gone. at night their parents were loud and could be heard singing all over the hotel. Food was great and catered to our needs, although staff barely spoke english and struggled to understand us. The bar had little selection of drinks, no alco-pops or english beers, so forced to drinks cocktails which costs ALOT. cardaic hill btw is as bad as its made out. basically it boils down to if your spanish your treated well and allowed to have the run of the hotel but if your not...forget about it!
