Hotel Description:
The Alia Palace Hotel is situated in Chalkidiki on the top of Pefkohori Village in a tranquil setting overlooking the Village and the Cassandra Gulf. The village Pefkohori (Pine-tree Village in Greek) is exactly what its name says. It combines a gorgeous pine tree forest with the sparkling turquoise waters of the Aegean Sea. Pefkohori is situated in the southern-most edge of Kassandra, the first of Chalkidiki’s three peninsulas. Nature was generous in these parts! The privileged location of the hotel just a short distance from shops, restaurants and nightlife also offers an amazing panoramic sea view. Alia Palace is a new hotel where the modern architecture is combined in local harmony with the local nature environment. loading...

Alia Palace Hotel Reviews

I am writing this review following a great holiday at the Alia Palace Hotel. My boyfriend and I (both in our mid-20's) spent a week here in Sept 05.
Our main comments are that the hotel was extremely clean, great pool, terrific views, good lunch menu (didn't really eat in the restaurant in the evenings so can't comment on that).
The hotel bar is quite spacious and the service is good. You can sit outside on the bar balcony and look out over the resort, (again the views from the hotel are gorgeous). The room was cleaned every day, new towels every day. The room was basic but had a new bathroom and air conditioning (full-working).
The hotel is located at the top of a steep hill so might not be suitable for the elderly or anyone with walking difficulties, but if you're young then it won't bother you… well it didn't bother us at all. Overall, we had no complaints about the hotel.
There are quite a few restaurants in the resort (along the strip), most are traditional Greek so you'll enjoy it most if you like trying new food. There are quite a few bars which I'm sure are lively during peak season... we were there at the end of the season so it was a bit quieter which we didn't mind.

All the food in the hotel was excellent with good choices at breakfast and evening meal if you ate in, with a bbq during the week for only 12 euros. The swimming pool is superbly located as you are able to swim up to the edge and overlook the town and sea.
The hotel bus does transport guests down to a really nice part of the beach and if you take a drink in one of the beachside bars you are able use the sunbeds for the day "free". The walk back to the hotel is very steep if you miss the bus but only takes about 15 - 20 mins from the town centre. The taxi service in the town can't be relied on to bring you back to the hotel as we only saw them on 2 of the evenings we stayed. It may therefore be a difficult place to be if you are elderley or not able to climb the hill road!
Overall I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this hotel as its standards are very high.
