We had a fantastic Holiday at Moonlight last year!! All the staff were brilliant, Nev, Savas, Birash, Mali and rest were extremely friendly and always had a smile. Our children loved it, the pool with slide was great. Rooms and views were clean and more than adequate. Location good as it is near the old village so is away from the town centre so it was nice and quiet at night. We are sad not to be able to go back this year but have already booked for next and cannot wait.

We would recommend these apartments to anyone!

Fabulous! We spent a fab week at the Moonlight Apartments and will definitely be returning. (We plan to go again in September) There were 4 in our party, 2 adults and 2 kids (6 & 13), we had a 2 bed apartment at the back of the complex, overlooking the small pool. It was huge and spotless! 2 large fitted bedrooms and an enormous lounge/dining/kitchen area with 2 further sofa beds. The maid even decorated our bed with sculptured towels and flower petals. I can not fault the complex in any way. Food was great and extremely reasonable, plenty for the kids to do and the staff can not do enough for you. Even although the complex was full, you never had to fight for a sun bed or sneak your towels out at midnight, there were always plenty whatever time of the day you hit the pool. We were devastated when it time to leave. Thanx Nev you and your staff do an excellent job. Look forward to seeing you all soon.

Just got back from 10 days at the moonlight apartments

We had two apartments 1 bedroom and the second a 2 bedroom

The apartments where in excellent condition and very clean, the bed linen was changed every day and the apartments cleaned as well by 3 wonderfull and friendly staff

Bobby the headwaiter was excellent,me and my wife got so friendly with him ,that he invited us back to his house for a drink and something to eat. I an led to believe is a great honour.

I can not fault the standard at the Moonlight or the rest off the staff esp the three brothers who run it for there dad the owner

Charlie the barman is excellent and such a good laugh

If you want some jewellery try Star Gold which is just off the main road leading to the beach just over the bridge

I would go back to the moonlight but i an sorry to say we do not like Icmeler

It is a shame moonlight is not in Gunbit which we do like

WOW Is all I can say, I had the best week of my life and its all down to the fact that the staff at Moonlight are so friendly, lively, bubbly and very helpful. I was there for Turkish night and it was brilliant they had Breakdancers, Bellydancers and a disco, everyone in the hotel came together that night and had a brilliant time, and it was all down to the staff again.

The food is brilliant, the swimming pools are brilliant one of them has a big slide, it was wicked. They've also got a playpark for kids, the duck on its a bit scary but my niece still had fun, there is also a playpark across the road too. They let you watch the football, one night the England game was on so they were showing that but us Scots needed to see the Scotland game so the Mayor took his TV down from his apartment so we could all watch it, he even got a TV guy to come sort it all out, how nice is that?!

I'm going back next year for 2 weeks, I cant wait to see all the staff again, we've already had an email off of them saying how much they miss us, roll on next year.

Nice clean apartments, basic but everything you need. Ideal for families who seems to return year after year.

Did feel a little pressure to eat there sometimes although self catering. Food ok but there was so much to choose from nearby so not a problem.

Very nice place and well organised for 2 star. We had no complaints about the Moonlight but did find the constant pestering from every other restaurant, boat trip, barber, beautician etc etc a bit tiresome by the end of the holiday and have decided to give Turkey a rest because of this.

If you can cope with all this then I would recommend the Moonlight. The manager, Savash and his brother (sorry could never get the hang of his name), Charlie and the lovely girl on reception are a credit to them. The cleaning ladies are also lovely and leave a lovely arrangement of rose petals on the bed and there is fresh bedlinen and towels on a regular basis.

These apartments are fantastic. All the staff; barmen, cleaners, cooks & receptionist were really helpful and friendly. 2 pools which were spotless were great. My kids liked the big pool with the slides although I preferred the smaller pool. No problems getting a sunbed either.

We only had one meal in the apts although we had a few breakfasts and snacks and these were fine.

There were 5 of us in a 2 bed apartment and there was plenty of space and again the apts were spotless although I'm a wee bit jealous reading other reviews cos we didn't get any flowers.

The Thomas Cook rep was hopeless but this didn't matter cos the staff at the apts would help you in any way they could.

We did a boat trip and a jeep safari & both of these were great days out.

Icmeler is a great town to visit for a holiday & places I would recommend are Romance restaraunt (great entertainment), Pyramid & Champagne restaurants both of which have great food & the Pig & Whistle which is just a really nice bar.

Although I have named the places above I can honestly say that in our 2 week stay we did not have a bad meal (and not because I didn't cook once).

Prices are very reasonable for food and beer although spirits can be a bit more expensive than at home.

Another plus point for our son was that a lot of bars and restaurants had a free pool table & play station and most of the staff didn't mind getting beat by him.

The only down side is the hassle but as previous reviewers have said just politely say no although I admit it can be a bit wearing at times.

Overall myself, my wife (both in our 40's) & our children 2 Girls 18 & 15 and a boy 7 had a great holiday and hopefully we will be back at the Moonlight at the same time next year.

These apartments are great. We have stayed there twice and going back again in September. The staff are genuine and friendly, the rooms are clean and enough space for four if you don't mind the lack of hanging space. There are 2 or 3 two bedroom apartments to book if you want more space. However, that's only if you want to spend all your time in them. We were up and out as there is so much to do at this resort.

The boat trips are great value. There is one called ERIN 1 and the owners are related to owners of apartments. They picked us up in morning took us to the boat and bought us back in afternoon after a great day out. Included was a nice barbecue lunch and with drinks (paid for these) the day came to less than £50 for three of us.

There are a few bars i would recommend, noisy but good fun. The Venice bar along the canal, good food and entertainment, The Deniz Kapisi or Karaoke bar as its known for a late drink and sing song and one called Richards place whom we kept on promising to go to and when we did, we had a great night.

The apartments are also linked with a restaurant called the Meyzon. It is a short walk from the apartments and is ideal place if you want to chat and laugh with friends. The food there is the best i ate and the staff very friendly.

Our flights back were late and the only downside is the apartments were the first pick up, so you spent a hour picking up from other hotels.

On our last visit we arranged for a private transfer, left a hour after the coach and still beat it to the airport cost £70 for ten of us. Also on our last day we kept a room for £20 extra between all of us. This was great as we had somewhere to shower and change, all in all a great holiday

The Moonlight is superb. Savas and the team go out of their way to make your holiday a good one.

I agree with all the other contributors. Everything is so clean and kept that way.

And yes, lots of fresh flowers scattered on your beds.... that one goes down well with the ladies in our party.

I have been there twice now and will be coming back to the Moonlight again. We have many happy memories of the Moonlight and staff.

This was mine and my boyfriends first holiday away together and a first for us both in Turkey. We had a fantastic time and couldn’t find a fault with anything.

I can’t praise the moonlight apartments enough. They were clean, fresh towels everyday, free air con which was a god send in the fantastic but very hot weather! And the staff were as friendly as they come.

The food was good and the beer was cheep. Only a ten min walk from town and good restaurants. We would recommend 'Turbo Chefs' restaurant. The food was amazing and very reasonably priced.

Yes you do get hassle from bar owners trying to get you into their bars, but we learnt very early on that if you just smile and carry on walking, they soon give up. Get into conversation with them and you'll be there all night!

As me and my partner are in our early twenties, we were pleased to find that they were plenty of bars and lively places if you eat later and hit the town about 9ish.

We are already planning going back this year as we had such a lovely time and we will certainly consider the moonlight apartments again.

I visited Turkey in June 2006 for the first time with my husband, daughter and granddaughter, we stayed at the Moonlight apartments in Icmeler.

The staff were very friendly Nev use to take my granddaughter and amuse her. My granddaughter loved Charlie and Mali.

The apartments were lovely and clean and the maids were lovely they also use to take my granddaughter and amuse her for a little while. We found that the apartments were adequate for our needs.

The only thing we found wrong with Icmeler there were not a lot of things for young children to do and seeing my granddaughter was only two, she got bored very easy, and we found we did not have much to amuse her.

The trip by boat to Marmaris was lovely and u see a lot of the Island from the sea.

I would go back to the Moonlight apartments but not with a young child as the transfer time is two hours from the airport.

This was my families first trip to Turkey, so I will get the negative out the way first.

Far too much hassle from the shops, restaurants, and barbers.

The apartments were top class, in a very quiet area with great views. All the staff were the friendliest you could ever meet, Savas and Charlie put themselves out that bit extra to help with anything you wanted, which was really refreshing. The Turkish night we had at the apartments was excellent, nice 3 course meal, break dancers had very funny routine, and the belly dancer was class, all in all a great night. Oh, Charlie had a routine as well, he loves dancing.

There were 2 adults and 3 kids in my group, in a 2 bed apart, and there was more than enough room, the main bedroom had a balcony looking onto the small swimming pool, and the main living area had another large balcony looking out over a very quiet road. and on up into the hills, really nice view when sipping a nice ice cold beer. The rooms were cleaned, and clean towels left every day, the beds were changed every two days. Small children have to be careful in the apartments because the tiled floors can get very slippery.

The large swimming pool has a slide, which all the kids that were there enjoyed very much, the other small pool was ideal if you just wanted a more relaxed swim. Plenty of sun loungers for everyone. The food at the apartments was very tasty and good value for money, (try the moonlight special kebab & special pizza.) Other things in place are the pool table, table football, table tennis. Also sky TV. There are a few supermarkets close by.

There is to many restaurants to mention, but every meal we had was very good, the only downside is the English breakfasts, me and my wife were not keen on them, but my 3 sons loved them.

We will be going back to the moonlight apartments again in the future. First class holiday.

Moonlight was fabulous. Charlie known to me as Romeo, as he was always at my balcony was a joy. Savac was a great help and a really nice guy and so helpful, even when my daughter and I forgot to put our clocks back, he was wonderful. The apartments have to be in the prettiest setting I have ever stayed in.

There was greenery all around with a backdrop of mountains. We had clean towels every day and bed linen changed every day. The girls that did our beds took trouble to place fresh flowers around the heart and swan shapes that they made from our towels. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Everywhere was clean and fresh. Passing the washing on the line was wonderful, I don't recall ever smelling laundry so sweet. Oh the washing was only visible from the road and only if you looked to see where the sweet scent was coming from.

As this was the last week of the season and we were the last to leave paying for an extra day, apart from Chris we was the only guests and saw all the work that went into cleaning the beds and bedding for the closed season. Its great to see that such great care is taken. No one usually sees this, a credit to all the staff. Once again our leisure time was taken either at the beach or in Romance. The boys in Romance are wonderful. there was a bit of a walk back to the apartment but we had a lift every night from one or another of the lads. Rammi is the dancer to watch he has the stamina of an ox.

The chef Mosquito, turns out the best food you can imagine from a good curry to an English Sunday Roast to the best hot bread you have ever tasted. If want to really fill your belly try a Turkish Mixed Kebab, you will never eat it all.

Just returned from our first holiday in Turkey and chose the Moonlight Aparthotel rather than the allocation on arrival offered at the time of booking. Have to say that the Moonlight staff are the nicest, friendliest people we could have met. Nothing was a bother for them and they were happy to have you run a tab for the meals and bar or pay as you went.

Nev, Savas, Charlie and Dennis were great fun and made our stay perfect (even though we had a couple of days of rain and thunder). The main pool has a slide which was enjoyed by all but no extremes of noise.

Second pool and children's pool on other side of bar was quieter. Bar was great to just sit and relax if you wanted to get out of the sun. Found a few good places to eat - for a good show after your meal try Romance just down the street from Moonlight, the waiters do brilliant dance routines including traditional Turkish and break dancing. Only problem we found was the people trying to get you into their restaurants, because it was near the end of the season they were trying hard, but a polite no thanks and they left you alone.

We were sad to leave the Moonlight as the staff all made you feel welcome and they all came to say goodbye when we left on the bus. Already planning to return to Moonlight to enjoy a quiet relaxing holiday next year. May be basic but very clean and well run.
