We have just returned from a week at...
10 / 10
May 2008, Miss A MCGOUGH

We have just returned from a week at the Beverley Park hotel. Upon arrival we were quite impressed as we usually stay in self catering apartments so everything appeared quite grand!!! The reception area was very nice and the porter took our cases up to our room on the fourth floor. Unfortunately our room was double booked but it was sorted out straight away and we were given the room next door to it.
The apartment itself was very clean and tidy. we were quite lucky in that we got a view of the sea and the sun was on our balcony all evening. The maids were very polite and always said hello. They visited every day to make beds, change towels, etc.
There was quite a variey of food. Breakfast consisted of continental and english (fried eggs, bacon, bread, cereals, beans every day - occasionally a boiled egg or frankfurter chucked in!!)Salad was always readily available. There was a variety of meats and occasionally fish. Always ice cream and fruit to choose from for dessert.
The hotel itself is quite a walk from playa de ingles but you can get a taxi for 3-4 euros. to get to the beach you have to climb quite a lot of steps and then further along you have to go down some more to get to the beach!
we went during Gran Canaria Pride so there was always plenty going on at the yumbo centre. Definitely worth a visit.
All in all an excellent holiday. Would definitely recommend the Beverly Park although it would probably be a bit crowded in the dining areas in peak season and some of the rooms we saw were in bad locations. 10/10 would go back.

The Hotel, is clean however looks a bit tired and worn, no complaints about the cleanliness in the hotel whatsoever, however the majority of the bar staff are ignorant and unhelpful, the entertainment alot to be desired, if you like listening to a guy playing an organ for 4 nights then you are in for a treat!!! however i will say that the entertainment on the other 3 nights was quite good. The Disco was rather disappointing especially as the DJ left most nights at about 12.30 pm leaving a cd on repeat and the barman to jump in if it got stuck. They definately cater more for the Spanish and Germans and as English you are made to feel like second class citizens. The all inclusive stops at 11pm at night!!!!! The pools are great and as for the beach being 90m away, yes it is but its all rocks and at present major construction work going on, however if you do walk along the sea front for about 10 mins, there is another beach, however the sand is rather black!!!!

May 2008, Miss S C Waugh

We had two fantastic weeks at this hotel.
The food wasn't great, especially as it was repeated the second week, but we didn't go hungry!
The Hotel was really clean, the maid service was fantasic-all really friendly. We found the reception staff a bit grumpy, but the bar staff and staff in the restaurant were all friendly.
Swimming pools were a bit cold, as they weren't heated, but nice and refreshing as it was so hot.
The entertainment in the evenings was ok, but repeated the second week, and didn't really go on for very long. As smokers have to sit outside, they weren't really included in the entertainment, which was a shame.
Over all, we had a great time, and would definately go back.

We are just finishing our week long...

May 2008, Mr B.j Peart

We are just finishing our week long holiday at this hotel and just thought we would add our review as most reviews read before we came were bad.
In our opinion the rooms were standard but cleaned daily to a high standard and each had air conditioning.
as we were all inclusive we were not looking forward to the unfriendly staff that some reviews talked about. We can safely say that the staff were very friendly and we were treated the same as any other guest staying here. Even though majority of the guests are spanish.
The pool areas and gardens were superb. There was always a sunbed free no matter what time of day. There were 4 pools in total which were very clean and tidy (no leaf matter etc).
We heard the food would be repetetive and tasteless however we found it to be quite the opposite. Although there was one day where the meals weren´t that enjoyable (but that could have been down to personal choice).
The beach is a 2 minute walk away as is the nearest supermarket. The centre of town can be walked in about 45mins or you can get a taxi for 4 euros.
All in all we had a great holiday.

Apr 2008, Mr D Spence

Just returned from a week at the Beverly Park Hotel and myself and family had a great time. The hotel is about 100m to the beach and the main centre can be reached along the promenade although you do have to climb some steep steps to get there. The hotel is very well kept with three main pools and two spa's. The food is plentyful but could be kept a little warmer. The bedrooms are clean and comfortable with no shortage of towels etc. There are drinks machines on each corridor which was handy and there is a supermarket directly opposite the hotel. We had a number of meals at the Mirador restaurant in the Tropical centre just along the promenade which was very friendly and served great food. A word of warning with baggage weight as we were charged £6 per kilo over the 15kg allowance. Will definetly go back to the Beverly again

Hotel Beverly Park was much, much...

Mar 2008, Miss A Jacobs

Hotel Beverly Park was much, much better than i had expected from reading other reviews. The rooms were basic but comfortable and cleaned every day. We had a great view of the beach which was only a 10 minute walk away and it was only a 15 minute walk to the main town along a lovely promenade parallel to the beach. The hotel has 2 large main pools, a children's pool and 2 jacuzzi's that were very clean and there were plenty of sunbeds around if you wanted to stay by the pool. The staff throughout the day made the effort to put on activities for those that were interested and the hotel staff were polite and friendly.
The only downside was the food - which wasn't great. We went half board and although we ate breakfast there, i must say we did eat out most evenings. The hotel is so close to so many nice restaurants i wish we had booked bed & breakfast only.
On the whole, i would recommend the Hotel Beverly Park to anyone and i would happily stay there again.

We have just returned from a weeks...

Mar 2008, Mrs P SATTERLEY

We have just returned from a weeks holiday at Beverley Park Hotel. (our room was on the 7th floor over-looking the bay, Brilliant.) Had a fantastic time. Weather brilliant. Hotel was very clean as was the bedroom. Sheets and towels changed regularly. Maid very pleasant. Didn't bother with hotel entertainment some nights as we preferred to walk to the bars. The entertainment we did stay for was quite entertaining targeting the children mainly, whether they be English, German, Spanish etc.
As we went over the Easter Holidays more Spanish people arrived over that weekend.
We found the Reception Staff very friendly, helpful and polite.
There was a wide range of food, something for everyone and plenty of it.
Having read the previews before going we were a little worried as to what the place would be like, so we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived to find that the problems people had complained about were not founded.
We would recommend this holiday to future travellers.
Thanks Thomas Cook for a great holiday.

Hello!! I am a lad from Essex that stayed in this hotel with a group of lads last July. to be truthful it was our first lads holiday and for people like us it couldn’t of been better! food was good and also a lot of it!!, the drinks we all found to be nice as well.
Although many of the staff couldn’t talk a lot of English they would still try and make you feel welcome! also the clubbing near by was very good and anyone who goes away for a clubbing holiday I do recommend it!!! We found is so good that we are going back this July!! If you are planning on going don’t be put off by people saying that the hotel is dirty because our rooms where cleaned everyday by a cleaner and they where never in the best of states!! Very good holiday would recommend going!

Feb 2008, wgipk

Beverley Park is a nice Hotel, it is three star, the only thing I did'nt agree with was men having to wear long trousers in the evenings going for dinner, while on holiday my hubby likes to wear shorts, not allowed in this hotel!!! The rooms are quite spacious and are very clean, food was very good, the location of the hotel was a bit far out from shopping centres, I don't think I would go back to Playa Del Ingles.

Jan 2008, Mrs Linda Partridge

It was mine and husbands first holiday together, and the hotel and resort was brilliant, the rooms were cleaned every day.
The pool area was kept clean, there was plenty of sunbeds and activities around the pool most of the day, we stayed there for two weeks and enjoyed it that much we could of stayed there longer.
The hotel is in a quieter part of Playa De Ingles which is nice because only a short walk away are all the bars and shops, plenty to do, great hotel, sand dunes beautiful and well worth a visit, will definitely return....

The hotel ground floor is clean and...
4 / 10
Jan 2008, Mr A Walker

The hotel ground floor is clean and the rooms on the beach side are nice. You are offered the beach sides when you complain about the grubby dark rooms on the motorway side of hotel.
The maids have to work hard to make the rooms look habitable, although our room felt and smelled damp. My wife’s parents stayed 3 doors away, their room was ok, but our daughter who stayed with them had bed bug bites.
Entertainment staff are very friendly and plenty of entertainment in the day for kids.
Food was good enough but deteriorated as the week went on, no children’s menu at all (we went over the Christmas period). Unfortunately we did have a bad stomach during the stay, the chemist did not speak much English but knew exactly what the problem was, 2 sets of tablets sorted it out.
Bar and pool bar staff very ignorant, British were offered a 2nd class service and if all inclusive British 3rd class. During the day and night we ended up going into Playa resort for drinks where we were made to feel welcome even though we were all inclusive at the hotel.
If the service was better than this hotel would be the correct star rating, however the service given in my opinion reduces this.
In some hotels you are advised to still tip the staff even if you are on an all inclusive basis, you are not advised to do this by the holiday rep but this would almost certainly improve the terrible service if all inclusive customers did this. This is complicated by the fact the hotel generally take on other nationalities half board who will naturally tip.
