Amarante Beau Manoir Hotel

They sing about Paris in the springtime but in my opinion you cannot beat Paris in late November if you want to experience the delights without the crowds.
We travelled to Paris in November and stayed at the 4 star Amarante Beau Manior in the Magdalene District. It helps if you have visited Paris before when picking a good location to stay in Paris, but if not then you cannot go wrong with this hotel. Its location is central with the Champs Ellysee, the Louvre, and excellent shops notably Printemps only a stroll away. If you stay on a Room only basis then turn right out of the hotel and walk 200 meters up the road to Berts where you can get a decent coffee, juice, and croissant for about 5 euros. After this superb breakfast you are ideally situated for an excursion to the Eiffel Tower, the Sacre Cour, or a day spent at Euro Disney.
Euro Disney at the end of November is very quiet. My wife and I managed 13 rides on rollercoaster’s alone. We only stopped due to a bad back and a headache. With minimal queues this is easily achieved. Many of the food outlets are closed so take your own lunch if you don’t want a hotdog and chips. With Christmas 4 weeks from the time we went Disneyland was full of the spirit of Disney Christmas.
After a great day out it was back to Madeleine for a rest.
With the Champs Elysee, and most of the shops also lit up for Christmas, Paris is an absolutely wonderful treat at that time of the year and the prices are begging to be snapped up. Try a little of your school French and that reputation of French rudeness evaporates as they smile at your efforts and go out of their way to help you. If all else fails just say 'Pardon, je ne comprend pas' and all is forgiven!
Amarante Beau Manoir is a great hotel in the perfect location, and your girlfriend or wife will love you forever. Why not surprise her as I did. All your Christmases will be merry!
And don’t forget a trip to Pigalle for a bit of added spice!
