Just came back from staying at the Lyristis for 2 week's and what a holiday. We intend to go back in september.Loved every min.
We were 2 couples sharing and We had a 1 bed appartment but it was more like a 2 bedrooms with the kitchen in the middle.
The hotel is small and definately friendly.
The family are wonderful and the hotel is exceptionaly clean.
The beds and towels were change every other day..The kitchen area is clean but not enough cooking equipment or storage area if you do wish to eat in.
The Swimming pool is quite large and very clean.
We were in the pool at 8am some mornings.
The family are so welcoming and are always willing to help.
We couldnt get over how they made us feel like part of thier family. Thanks to all for the birthday BBQ it was Fantastic. The hotel is not on the main drag (BAR STREET) so you are not in the noise zone but it's not far away if you want to endulge in the night life.(Walking distance aprox 10 mins same for the beach)
We hired a car for the 2 weeks and travelled the island sight seeing and would recommend it to anyone....The hotel has a parking area....KOSTAS car hire opposite Georges bar is the cheapest 16 euros per day we paid and the lady who runs it is very helpful.

To be honest it would be unfair to say this place is a complete dump. The rooms were clean and the pool is nice. However the owners are ***holes! We made loads of friends at the hotel; as you would expect with a 2wentys holiday. We were constantly in and out of each others rooms which should be no problem, we made sure with our reps. The owners thought differently. On our second to last night on returning to the hotel we decided to have a few more drinks in one of our mates rooms. The next thing we know the owners have FORCED their way in calling us alsorts of obsenities and physically dragged me and my friend out. I had bruises all up my arms and was obviously really confused and upset. I could not see how they could justify this behaviour as we werent making any noise and were not being rude or abusive in any way. We had to make formal statements to our reps who were really apologetic- too little too late. Nothing ever came of it which I think is disgusting. It hasn't put me off Faliraki but I would definately give this hotel a wide birth if I were ever to go back.

A small group of three girls went for our first ever holiday together, and it was amazing! From the second we got there the owners were lovely, our towels were changed every other day and the bathrooms cleaned which was nice. They really took care of us which was nice! The room was a nice nice for the three of us, clean simple and basic. The bathroom was a bit small and the door didnt seem to close, but with a group of girls away together this really wasnt a big deal.
The swimming pool is nice, clean and quiet if thats what you looking for, if not, the best thing was that all of the hotels along the road were open to anyone, Orion in particular was one we spent most of the time at which was literaly across the road!
Although the area is safe, i would recommend paying the 10 euros for the safe just incase. The best thing was the fact that this place was great for mainly families and students, the range of restaurants, quiet bars and clubs is enough to suit anyone!
The location of the hotel was absolutely perfect. Five minutes to club street and bar street, and 10 to the beach. It far enough away so the noise through the night doesnt disturb you, but close enough to never have to get into a taxi. We mostly spent our evening down club street, king aurthurs, bedrock, liquid, tiger tiger, and bed club were the best! I personally wasn't much of a fan of bar street, but its fine for a few free shots on your way to a club. The reps and workers that promote the clubs and bars on club street were amazing, and so helpful -definately stop and talk to them, as we did on our first night to get the low down on the area!

me and two friends have just come back from our holiday and i already have holiday blues : ( we had a fab time.. we got a great cheap deal... and we went with twentys.. i was a little bit doubtful of how this holiday would turn out at first and how bad the accomadation would be scene as tho we only paid £150 each for a week...but i was pleasantly suprised.. the room was basic but clean.. very spacious for 3 people sharing.. the pool was lovely.. clean and relaxing.. the snack bar was good value for money too, which meant we did have to disturb our sun bathing time to much! its only a 5 minute walk from club street and 10 minutes from the gorgeous beach and mcdonalds.. which is always a bonus.. night life is great and i recommend georges and the loft for the younger crowd!
the twentys reps were great to.. even tho we didnt participate in any of the excursions.. they did come almost every day to the hotel to check in on everybody.. and stayed for around an hour.. messing about in the pool and helping out with any problems and generally just having a laugh... we did bump into them most nights when out and we just tagged along anyway without having to pay for the priviledge lol which they didnt seem to mind at all!!
the weather was glorious every day and i have a gorgeous tan... the only downside was....... the mosquitos!! i would recommend everybody by a plug in.. spray... nets the lot.. if your like me who tends to be constantly biten.. take antihistamines and lots of cream because they really are bad over there?? over than that.. one week wasn't enough and i would defo go back tomorro!! one of the best holidays ever!! : )

This was possibly the best holiday I've had in a long time. Me and my housemate went for a week’s holiday to this resort and had an absolutely fabulous time.
The hotel is just what you need for a holiday like ours. The pool is fine for chilling out by during the day and the rooms are sufficient for sleeping and getting ready to go out in.
The one thing I would definitely recommend is paying for the air con. It'll cost you about 40euros for the week but its well worth the investment.
Outside of the hotel- the beach is lush; the water is so clear and warm. Bar Street’s alright if you're up 4 a hardcore night out. But we found ourselves chilling out in King Arthur’s bar just around the corner from the hotel. It's really friendly there and the cocktails r the best in Faliraki!
We got the night bus to Rhodes for a night out- its not cheap but it's somewhere different.
Overall it was an awesome holiday; I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

This was a very friendly place to be for our family holiday, my 2 kids really had so much fun and the owners were great to them we felt like a part of the family.
I would recommend this to anyone who has kids, no entertainment for them but the family do all that anyway, they look after them as if they were their own kids.
I'd go back if I could but my work is a bit restricted now :( so sad.

Great family run apartments, been to Faliraki before but this accomodation is quite good for Greece. The apartment is just off club street more or less, just behind bowling alley so great for night-life and also for quiet days by pool.
The family who run this are really friendly and bars always open so that's a plus. Mike is even good enough to remove any unwanted bugs you might encounter.
This accomodation has mini-market on site which is pretty cheap. The pool is great deepest in Faliraki at 2.85m deep.
All in all great apartments and in great location what else you need.

Wow what a holiday, best time had by all. Didn’t want to go home, wonderful friendly people nothing to much trouble. Also the Orion restaurant superb food service and company (if you go say hello to Maria for us!!)
Have you ever been on holiday and all the owners of the Orion restaurant and hotel come out to wave you off believe me a few tears shed. Can’t wait to go back one of the years. Also a must is boom, boom Georges owners great with kids mine got free snacks, drinks and paid for one of his many televisions to be changed to the movies for my boys (girls unfortunately all the rest are football).
A real must for a holiday we fully recommend it anyway.

This was a great holiday for three of us to remember!!
We hadn't been abroad before just us girls, so we're glad we made this choice because it was close to the main Faliraki streets, and five to ten minutes away from the beach, restaurants, food bars and pharmacy etc.
With a fussy person with us the food wasn't a problem because next to the studios' was a shop selling all you need (English brand). The family that run Lyristis were always on site and very helpful and friendly and spoke very good English.
The pool was great and very clean, and there were plenty of sun beds to catch a tan!! The accommodation was basic but very clean a must for us British.
So overall we found this a brilliant holiday thanks mostly to the friendly family and their attitude towards the guests.

I haven't written my review on our trip to Rhodes in June yet but the Lyristis was just fine and nicely half a km from the "Clubbing St" and about 1.5km from the "Bar or Pubbing St".
It was a "hot" visit with temperatures getting up to 42c and my friend (even though she comes from the warmth of Australia) flaked out and read all day.
I pushed off on my own to Rhodes town and took one day trip to the Island of Symi (€15 and well worth it)
On the Monday there was a boat to the small island of Kastellorizo, which one feels is half way to Cyprus and lies about 1.5mls off the Turkish coast. The island is so far east that no Greek map has it (at least not in the right place).
In January 1917, a fluke shot from a Turkish battery hit the petrol storage of the Ben-my-Chree III (1908-1917 - Isle of Man Steam Packet Co) and the ensuing fire finished up with the Ben3 sinking in shallow waters. That shot was like a 6 in the lotto.
The Ben3 was requisitioned in 1915, turned into one of the first seaplane carriers, and served off the German coast before transferring to the Dardanelles where a pilot performed the first ever airplane to sea torpedo attack and successfully hit a ship that had, apparently, just been hit by a British submarine also.
Anyhow, I took a day trip to Kastellorizo which is full of Greek-Australians (the original population, decimated by war, took the £10 offer to go down under where they are now 50'000). It was a kind of homage trip as I'm from the Isle of Man and the story of the Ben3 will be appearing somewhere towards the end of this year.
Yes, that was a great week on Rhodes and the day trips proved rewarding. The Lyristis can be recommended and the young people coming home at 06.30 didn't disturb as that was the time I left to take my trips. ;-)

We brought 5 of our children (11, 13, 14, 15 and 22!) plus mum (50+) and ourselves for our wedding in June 2010. This was our 5th time to Faliraki as a couple, but the first time for mum and kids and our first time in this hotel. We stayed 2 weeks, but mum and the kids only stayed for the first week and went home after the wedding. The Lyristis was fairly quiet and the snack bar was not open but this did not matter as we made friends with the owners of the Royal Rose hotel opposite and went there for breakfast, snacks and for a drink before going on into the resort in the evening. The location was the best we've been in so far, quiet but walking distance for the resort. The staff were friendly and the hotel was clean, bins emptied, room cleaned and sheets and towels changed three times during the week. We liked it so much, we had another holiday in August just the two of us, and when the owners recognised us on arrival they gave us the room we'd been in for our wedding! We have also booked another holiday there for this year. Would recommend this hotel for people who want to do their own thing, there are no frills, no entertainment (but it's Faliraki, it's not needed!) no food or bar unless you go over the road to the Royal Rose or the Orion, but as we like to go with the flow on our holidays this suited us!
