What a great holiday .
This hotel has everything going for it anyone who has not had a good holiday must be wanting 5 star Treatment without paying for it. I`m from the Newcastle area have just returned from 14 days at the Panormos everthing and everyone was fantastic , From the cleaners to the workers and the food well done all who work at the hotel and thank you for giving us(4) a good holiday. From All At Alnwick in Northumberland
Fantastic!
Well we only came back home yesterday but I am wishing we were still there!! The hotel was lovely and the bed presentation was incedibly romantic!! I have never had this from a hotel whether it be 5* or 1*. The entire holiday was lovely and plenty to do for all ages from sightseeing to relaxing by the beach to water sports to the Turkish baths. The hotel room was above average, 2 beds, wardrobes, mirros, bathroom, shower and extra hanging space. Extra pillows and covers also included in the room. The food was lovely, we didnt have a bad meal in the hotel or anywhere else for that matter. Staff and guests are all very friendly. The staff will do anything to help you, as before they work long hours, and when guests are keeping them up until the small hours its a wonder they manage to arise the following day!!! I would recommend this hotel to anyone who would consider cisiting Altinkum- Didim. We had a wonderful time our only gripe is that we wish we had booked 2 weeks instead of the 1!!!

Staff brill hotel itself not great wouldnt go back
Me and my Boyfreind have just came back from Panormos hotel yesturday. We wouldnt go back, the staff are really nice espeically Jack and Ali, we arrived at 7pm and Jack and Ali helped us with our luggage in to the hotel, we got our rooms, they are very basic and i mean very basic, 2 single beds, not any place to put your clothes we had to keep our clothes in the suitcase the whole 2 weeks we were there. we went down to the restraunt for a meal, and the restraunt is great there food is brillient. There was a few bad points about the hotel, we didnt have hot water for the 1st week, our room was really cold at night due to a gap at the door of the balcony, we put towels down but that didnt seem to help, we asked for extra blankets we got them, but you would not give your dog to them, you were also not aloud to take any food or drink up to your room, yes i was cheep to go out for a meal every night but we were spending £50 a day on food a drink. so we ended up putting food and water in a backpack and taking it up to the room, the carparts are really dirty, the rooms are tiny not much room to swing a cat, we spoke to the rep about the hot water cause we couldnt even get a shower and they said it was to do with the solor power and that it was only on from 7am to 9am and 5pm till 9pm but there still wasnt any hot water, the second week was a bit better but not much as the water was sooo hot my boyfreind burnt his hand, we put the cold tap on and it went freezing. In Altinkum it self there was nothing to do at all, there was 2 bars we went to Swan Bar and Dolphin bar they 2 were the most cleanist ones, Valintines restraunt was good, but they are quite rude, great sunday roasts in there. they do hassle you alot, espeically the girls the atcally grap you and drag you in2 the shop. the market was the worst the woman grap you and put jewllary on you and make you buy it. there was no night clubs nothing to do at all. me and my boyfreind were soo bored that we were going to get a early flight home. but all i can say is we wont be going back to this hotel and Altinkum. there is also lots and lotsss of cats and dogs which put you off, i do like animals, but at the hotel the owner has a dog and lets it run around the hotel, there was a cleaning progress bored up nexst to the pool and the dog peeed against it and it went into the pool now that put me off, every restraunnt you went in2 there was cats and dogs. it was the worst possible hotel ever and we wont be going back at all.
It was wicked!!!!!!
this was one of the best holidays i've ever had!i went with my friend and her family and couldn't have enjoyed it anymore than i did!!At first it was abit omg,but then the food cleanliness and the staff were all great!!love 'em all!lol!!def coming back in july for a month!!was excellent!xxx
Best Holiday Ever
I went to the hotel panormos in june 2004 with my fiance and i must say the holiday was fantastic the food was great the weather you could'nt fault it and the staff were a right laugh. Its got to be the best holiday we've ever had and we've been to loads of destinations we would certainly go back i think for my fiances birthday in october
Good pool, everything else a little shoddy.
The entrance to the hotel as others have written is pretty good, the pool looks inviting, and the entrance looks clean. We arrived (my wife and I) at 5 AM and were more than a little tired. Oh dear!!! My first thoughts when seeing the room, orange walls and lampshades and brown carpets. The first thing I noted as I fell into bed was the sheets a little frayed aout the edges, as were the towels, BUT niclely laid out by the maids and clean. I think if your a qualified plumber and Corgi registered you may be able to figure out how to get the shower to maintain the same temperature, my wife and I are not, so could not. Freezing cold or scalding hot with an nono second between of a stable temperature. Breakfast was boiled eggs, bread and fruit with the normal jams, honey etc OK but the plates were all chipped. The staff were indeed friendly, and the prices were similar to that of the resurants on the front for food and drink i.e. a little high so eat down the front and get a beeter view. I never had a bad meal at any resurant so try any really. The ten minute walk to the sea front should only be observed if you walk like Linford Christie runs. My wife and I are quite fit and I think our personal best was 15 mins with out her looking in shoe shops. As we only used the hotel as a base really and spent our time on trips or by the pool the hotel was adiquate for us. TOP TIP as you probably know do not book trips through your reps. We used Maxi on the front and went to Eupheses and Pumakali with a nights accomodation, transport and 3 good meals for £35 each. It needs some serious modernisation and I do not think we would stay there again nor visit the resort. I am afraid Turkey is no longer a cheap holiday expect prices similar if not slighty cheaper than England. Gone are the days of free drinks after your meal and a night on the razzle for you and your good lady for a tenner.
what a fantastic holl
what a fantastic holiday im sorry to say this to the other bad reviews but pukka up people,,,,, because yes the power went off a lot the same as it did all over turkey thats why the lifts were down cos there was no power ,also the showers were cold because if u failed to notice it was all run on a solar system as it was all over turkey. yes the rooms were a bit jated but so bloody what u only sleep there. to us yes maybe that hotel was not a 3* hotel but to the turks it is a 5* as you should already know it is still classed as a 3rd world country and is still quite poor and all the building work is to get altinkum up and running so it can make more money like mamaris(good for them i say) all the building work is going on but it is not loud and it shouldnt ruin your holliday. the panormos food is lush , all the staff are fantastic ,funny and they all make you feel welcome the bar staff are exellent they all work very very long hours for penuts but they still keep up a happy mood and a smile.i thought the hotel was very clean and nice. altinkum is beautiful but yes u do get the turks hassling u to go into the shops but they are just trying to earn a living just like us so just try and respect there way of living and all you have to say is no thankyou! i think the hassle was all part of the turkish experiance and was fantastic. the trips are very good and the turkish bath was out of this world. the clubs and pubs there are fantastic galaxy bar and flamingo bar is great for all ages as they are just like the bars in england(busy good music and good drink) thankyou hotel panormos for a very excellent holiday and i will see you in april as i loved it so much i am going back to work out there next season. thanks again to ali sonny hakkan omar ozzy levent jack, chris emine all the bosses your all fantastic .
Turkish Fawlty Towers
We have just retuned from a fortnight at the panormas hotel and all we can say is don,t stay here. The hotel is very badly run, we complained about the toilet leaking on the second day and three days later it was finally fixed, the power kept going off every day, the lifts kept breaking down. The decor in the rooms is the same, every room is painted yellow with brown carpets, orange lampshades, you could do with sun glasses on when you put the lights on. The carpets was filthy. We can honestly say we will not be booking again for the Panormas hotel.
Not good - badly managed
Spent last week at the Panormos on a late deal. Glad we didn't pay full price! It has much potential but is badly managed. The pool area is lovely but spoiled by loud R&B music all day and no cleaning of the bar table tops. Breakfast was the usual Turkish style which is fine by us but somehow it was tasteless and disappointing (had they boiled the tomatoes to remove the skins and then let them go cold??). As everyone says the rooms are very basic - ours was painted dark yellow with brown carpet and orange lights, yuk) but our bathroom was quite nice with a very large shower cubicle. The real problem is the hot water. We had hot water twice during the week - then it seemed to go off and on. On the second day the reps and the hotel said there had been a problem but it was fixed. Then, next day no hot water again. We think the system is old and just doesn't cope (or it's electric and not switched on until late in the day). For example, there would be just tepid water all day then after you'd struggled to shower, or shave, it would be hot at about 7.30pm. The staff are friendly but are not organised into proper work like cleaning or serving. (This doesn't include the chambermaids who provided an adequate service). Not a place for peace and quiet despite being away from the noisy lively area of the town. OK if you want a cheap bed for the week with the intention of getting out and about. Food and bar prices too high.
