Panormos Hotel

Arrived here on 22/06/2011 , left here 2 hours later thanks to our travel rep listening to our endless list of complaints and finding us a far better hotel . I will just bullet point my review ............dirty , filthy , extremely outdated rooms , dreadful Amenities, awful staff , terrible location , best thing about it ? The road leading away from it ! Do not book this hotel .

just returned from turkey and have stayed at the panormos hotel for the last 4 years and have found it excellent for money you pay, but this time found it could do with a refurbishment my sister in law told me it was closed over winter for refurb but didnt notice any difference from lsst year, room was cleaned on day of leaving and bedding was changed the same day as leaving looking at going to turkey again in september next year but may try somewhere else unless i get told it has been refurb.

Just returned from 3 weeks at this hotel.It was clean tidy and rooms cleaned every day bedding and towels changed every other day.met owners every day always polite and friendly never tried to sell us any property etc.Staff great fun and friendly.Will be going again next year.

this hotel is amazeing.we didnt stay here has we stayed in family apartment but spent most of our 2 weeks here....and the same last yr...staff friendly pool n hotel great..................meals and drinks excellent and really good value.2 mins from main shops little play park round corner and beach in walking distance.......me and my husband have 3 children 2,5,7...........they love it .see you next year.

we spent 1 week of pure boredom at this hotel, we went with goldtrail,, i think!! as there was never any sign of the rep, 1st night there a gentleman in his late 50s fell at the childrens pool {right ajacient to the bar} as there was no safety mats put down,, as far as i am aware this genleman is still in hospital with a broken back, leg etc... staff were ok, the best barman was hakam, although his english was pretty limited he understood, ashtray, beer and a few scottish words{slang}, propably wouldnt visit this hotel again to be honest, clean, but nothing to shout about.

Just returned from staying at Panormos Hotel in Altinkum...Nice rooms..Nice pool...Lovely maids..Its a shame some of the staff think its ok to sleeze over the young girls and hassle them to go out with them...Even one saying he prefers to stay round the hotel on his days off as he likes looking at all the bikini clad women...When you complain the staff stop being so friendly..The prices for food and drink are extortionate, charging up to 3 times more than other places..I know they dont get a wage and all work on commission but we all do our best on a budget...Best to go to Roccas for a decent breakfast, only 5 Lira and to Uc Kofte (turn right out of hotel only couple mins along) where you can have beautiful steak for only 13 TL(its 22 at Panormos)..The staff there are so lovely and make you feel at home...Would recommend staying elsewhere

Hotel and room was cleaned daily, fresh towels, clean sheets, toilet roll daily, tv excellent, balcony excellent, air conditioning pricey but needed and safety deposit box optional but reasonable price. Pool area, cant complain!! always sunbeds about, beware of the sudden dip half way down into the deep end for the weak swimmers lol
Staff excellent!! ching chong (ted) so funny, ozzy always flapping around lol, everyone else friendly and cannot complain!!
Bar prices 4.50 lira beer effes, 7 lira vodka or cider, alot cheaper elsewhere towards beach. Strict about bringing food and drink into hotel. Turkish night on tuesdays food not great but excellent entertainment.
Bit of a walk to the beach and dolphin square centre but dolmius bus only 1.50 lira, stops on the opposite side of the hotel and drops off rite outside for lazy people lol
Beach excellent!!! shallow for 100 metres and a barrier before u have gone too far lol
recommend aqua park water park!! good day out. only 1.75 on bus.
for couples and families espicially or a quiet relaxing one, not much hassling
all in all excellent holiday!! enjoy folks

just had 2 weeks at the panormos, sept3-17.bit worried before i went with some of the reviews but nothing but praise for the place. it cost me £59 for 2 weeks b&b. for that price you'de expect a tent but no. lovely room with 3 single beds. colour tv as well. room nice and clean. sheets and towels changed daily. the breakfast is a bit naff but the food sold in the restaurent is good. the barstaff were ace. all in all fantastic value. a lot of repeat customers. the hotel is being modernised this winter but will still be good value next year.

As we arrived we wondered if we walked into an old folks home, hotel needs to be modernised but our stay in the hotel itself was perfect - we had clean sheets every other day and everyone was very helpful, staff were good with the kids and the pool area was perfect...
Tried a few different places for food, (one place - just as u come into beach was shocking, entertainment was great but felt like I was chewing a rubber duck when eating Steak)
Found a little place just down from hotel - great prices (cheaper than everywhere else) brilliant staff - the place is called Mola, id recomment to everyone as food was perfect - no complaints!
All in all had a great holiday and would definately return to Panormos

Just got back from a week in the Panormos Hotel and thought it was great. The rooms were basic but very clean and have everything you need for your stay. There is air con in the rooms which is about £25 for the week - which is a lot cheaper than what I have experienced before in Turkey.
The pool was great and very clean - lovely to have a dip to cool down when the weather reaches 50 degrees! There are plenty of sunbeds too, the hotel was fully booked when we stayed and we never had a problem getting a sunbed even in mid morning!
Didn't stay at the hotel for food, but parents did and they thought it was lovely. The breakfast is repeated everyday which consists of a boiled egg, bread, cucumber, melon etc. can get boring, but they offer a fried breakfast which you have to pay extra for.
All the staff at the Panormos are great fun and very friendly, they can't do enough for you.
The only thing we found with this hotel is that the drinks are quite expensive - a large bottle of water is 3TL - down the road at a local market you can get them for 1TL, but 3TL is only about £1.20 anyway!
The beach is around a 20-30 mins walk away, you can catch a dolmus and takes around 5 mins. There are plenty of shops and restaurants on the way down the beach and then plenty more along the marina. It gets very busy on a night time.
The best restaurants we found was Circus - very good staff, excellent service and brilliant food. Harry Potter is great and makes you feel very welcome! Cafe More is very good also, however we did have to wait 1 hour for our starter, but they did only have the 1 waiter on that night!! Also try Mekhan (I think) lovely food again!
All in all, had a fantastic holiday and will definitely book up to stay at the Panormos Hotel again!
