Lovely accommodation, very clean and well maintained.
Accommodation is at the top of a small, dirt track hill and then the drive of the accommodation is also a rather steep hill, and steps leading to some rooms and the pool and bar area, so not suitable for those with small children or walking difficulties.
Otherwise, the accommodation is lovely, with beautiful views. Pool area clean and tidy, with friendly staff, very nice place to relax with a drink, although there is a lack of shade and umbrellas!
Reps very friendly, but not pushy and will leave you alone if you want. About a ten minute walk to the town, which has lovely shops and bars and the beach.
A fantastic holiday destination, highly reccommended!

The Daphne hotel was wonderful, the views were amazing and the staff were so helpful there was nothing that they wouldn’t try and do for you. The rooms were cleaned everyday and if you were still in the room at the time that the cleaners came they would come back at another time that was more convenient to you.
We didn’t have the best week of weather as it rained for four days but we still had a fab holiday! The pool was nice, a little cold but it did its job of cooling you down. There was air conditioning in the room but we hardly used it as the weather was poor and it did go rather cold at night.
Hanioti is very nice and all people who work there are very friendly. We ate in many places but our favourite one has to be the Amethystos (not sure if spelt right), the food was beautiful and the staff were very helpful. In the bar next door you can also eat your food but we did enjoy tasking part in the nightly quiz and bingo. We did try the Chinese restaurant and didn’t find that it was very good especially for the price of it.
Overall would definitely recommend the resort along with the Daphne hotel and I would consider going back in the future!

Just returned from our fourth visit to Daphne and all I can say is it just gets better, everyone is so helpful and its really nice when they remember you. Yannis and Makis the two brothers that run the bar have been there since we started visiting and really are the best.
The manager and all the reception staff are great too, even the gardener George is friendly and likes to have a laugh, the maids have always been friendly and the rooms are kept spotless. Daphne is really a beautiful complex set in well kept gardens but it is on a hill, but the views are worth it when you get up there.
Hanioti has plenty to offer, much better than some of the neighbouring villages, the Amethystos where you can get breakfast and an evening meal and the staff are so professional and friendly and love it when you return, there are plenty of bars and other restaurants down towards the village square like Zorbas and the Dionysus and if its just a quiet drink you want then there’s plenty of choice for that too. Hanioti also has a fantastic cake shop the selection of cakes which really do put some of our cake shops to shame with tables and chairs outside you can sit and watch the world go by.
I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Daphne to anyone and I’m sure that the people we've met there time and time again wouldn’t either.
Paliori the next but one village down from Hanioti has some special qualities to like a nice beach a bit shingle and stone and some lovely tavernas and bars and the locals are so friendly they really do appreciate your custom.
All in all if you want quiet and friendly look no further they truly are gems on a gem.

This was my first time to Hanioti and the Daphne apartments and I wasn't disappointed. The apartments were set in beautiful gardens just a 10 minute walk from the nearest bars and restaurants and a further 10 minute walk from the main area, known as the square.
The apartments were basic, but clean, the towels were changed on a daily basis and the bedding was changed several times during the week. The maids were very friendly. The pool area was clean, there were a limited amount of sunbeds, but we never struggled to get one and we weren't early risers. The pool area was also clean and you had a lovely sea view. Due to the layout of the complex I think that most rooms had a sea view. The apartments we quiet and cool at night, we didn't need to use the air conditioning. The only downside was the apartments were set on a hill side, and we were at the top, so we had a step walk from reception, but it was only a short walk, it wasn't a problem for us, but for those with walking difficulties or push chairs it could be a bit of a pain.
The apartments were located aprox 5 mins from the local supermarket, which was handy as the apartments didn't have a mini market. Reception did sell newspapers and ice creams.
The First Choice Rep was also very good, we didn't bother with the reps meeting, but she left us a welcome pack in reception, as well as giving us a call a few days into the holiday to check that everything was ok.
In Hanioti itself there was an excellent selection of restaurants to choose from, we were spoiled for choice. The Amethystos Bar/restaurant, which was located in the shopping area nearest the apartments was fantastic, with a varied menu, serving both English and Greek food, I could have spent the week eating there you were spoiled for choice. They also serve an all day English Breakfast for 5 euros. Overall we found Hanioti reasonable cheap, compared to other European Holiday Destinations.
The beach wasn't the best or at least the bit we visited, there were a lack of facilities on the beach, so I would recommend taking your own provisions if you are spending the day there. The sea was also very rocky and a bit rough, not ideal for people with small children.
Overall Hanioti was a good choice of holiday, I would definitely go back there and stay at the Daphne apartments.

The Daphne is situated amidst beautiful surroundings. The facilities were very good, staffed by friendly and courteous people, who would go out of their way to serve.
The bar, restaurant and pool facilities were excellent.(the availability of loungers around the pool was a problem at times, although there was alternative comfortable seating available).
The standards of cleanliness throughout the complex was very high, (this includes the frequency of towel and bed linen changes).
The walk into Hanioti centre took approx. 15 minutes, but we never considered this to be problem. There were plenty of facilities to sample before reaching the square.
The beach and its facilities were very good. There was a plentiful supply of loungers available at a very moderate cost, which included the parasol.
Many thanks to all at the Daphne, (including First Choice & their rep. Maureen), for their contribution in providing the basis for a very good holiday.
Just returned from 2 weeks at the Daphne. It’s a wonderfully quiet place, not far from the hustle of Hanioti. We were looking for a resort, which would accommodate all our requirements as a family, (ages 47,44,19,15). It certainly did that.
There is construction work going on right next door to the Daphne but it never disturbed us and our studio was on the ground floor overlooking the building work. It doesn’t disturb the view either.
The Daphne is set in beautiful surroundings with well maintained gardens. There’s a tennis court, table tennis, gym, sauna and Jacuzzi along with the gorgeous roof top pool. The views from here over Hanioti and beyond to the Sithonian peninsula and Turtle island are wonderful. The pool was always very clean and never got too busy even though it was the height of the season. Loads of lilos and balls to play with in the pool along with a basket ball net. Only complaint was the lack of sun loungers and the ability of all the guests to get up really early to 'bag' them! Spent the first few days sitting by the pool on chairs and then decided that if you can’t beat them you should join them! :-)
The staff at the Daphne are always obliging, very helpful and go out of their way to make sure everything is to your liking. They make your stay as pleasant as they possibly can. The pool bar opens at 7.30 and closes anywhere between 12.30am and 3.30am depending on the amount of people there. Ghanis, Makis and Lois are all superb barmen although Makis makes the best Frappes!
The Daphne itself is about a 15min stroll down to the village square and a couple more mins onto the beach. You have to cross a busy main road but none of us found that too difficult. The beach was very crowded due to the time of year so we didn’t actually use it at all. We hired a car for 7 days and went off to explore the area and found quiet beaches elsewhere. The pool is perfectly adequate for a whole days lounging too.
Hanioti itself comes alive after dark. There are plenty of Tavernas to choose from. We ate every night except for one in Hanioti. The Kassandra is good, we ate there the first night but returned again in the second week and had an awful meal. They were so busy on the second visit. Tavern Dionysus is fantastic if you like fresh fish and not too expensive. We drove up the coast to Neo Fokea one night and had a fantastic fishmeal in a taverna overlooking the harbour. Perfect romantic setting but I had chosen a Greek fish called Faugri to share and it came to E57! Beware of fish sold by the kilo. always ask the cost before having it cooked!
Emnvikov Taverna just off the square on the main road to the beach is also very good. We ate there twice. The Chinese restaurant we didn’t eat in as 2 separate parties we met ate there and didn’t say it was very good. Hanioti has one Indian restaurant, which I would like to have tried but never got there. There’s also a wonderful fish restaurant near the beach, with tables on the pavement overlooking the park. I had sea bream, sold by the kilo, but asked before having it cooked! A Greek guy and his English wife run the Olde Tavern. Very good also.
Further a field in Paliouri village square there are quite a few really nice tavernas to eat in. If you drive to Sithonia and take the coast road down the western side, driving anti-clockwise, you will find a taverna where the road has climbed up at the bottom of the peninsula, which has stunning views from their terrace. Recommend the food here too.
We also went on the pirate cruise from Karruso. Although we were going to book it independently we eventually did it through our tour operator. I think this was better as there were lots of reps on hand to entertain you. It’s a brilliant day out and well worth the money. The finale for us was watching the dolphins swimming alongside the boat as we returned in the early evening.
Enjoy your holiday.

I have just returned from the Daphne holiday club June 04. I stayed at the resort for 1 week. All I can really say about the Daphne is excellent. Going from friendly and helpful reception staff, to the bar and restaurant staff and the manager who you always see wandering around willing to help. The staff what makes this place such a lovely place to be.
The views from the pool and the pool bar are beautiful looking out over the sea to the next peninsula.
Complex is very nice although it does a have a steep hill and many steps to the pool and bar.
Rooms are quite basic but are kept very clean and even have air conditioning and a mosquito net on the balcony door. Views from the balcony are also beautiful.
I would certainly recommend this place to friends and want to go back in the near future.

I went on holiday to the Daphne Apartments with my sister in May 2003 and was so impressed I went back with my partner in September. From what I heard while we were there, there were a few return visitors, and there was even someone there in September I recognised from going in May!
The apartments themselves are airy and light, compact, but have everything you need. The views from the apartments and the roof terrace (where the pool and bar is) are stunning across the sea to the second peninsula of Sithonia. It’s a nice quiet place to stay, just across the road from the main town, so is just far enough away from the noise, but close enough to the town! The town is a 5 minute walk and the pebbly beach is just through the town, about 10 minute walk as most.
The pool bar is basic, but very good evening buffet meal, though slightly expensive compared to town restaurants.
There was a mistake with the room the first time I went and we told the night-staff when we arrived, and thought he’d probably forget about it. But we got a call at 10am from the manager who brought up our new room key and helped us move rooms. Very, very helpful people. I cant praise the staff enough.
The restaurants in the town were varied, we returned to one place several times, called the Kassandra and it has a rooftop garden. It’s a lovely place and the restaurateur even recognised us in the street we went so many times! The Kelfos bar was one of the nicest bars, and there was a beachside bar where we sat on the beach with our drinks.
All in all it’s a great place to stay. Just right. Not in the thick of it, but not off the beaten track either!
