Villa Saint Martin Hotel

Excellent hotel , clean fresh, decent bed really good staff In a pretty good location. All round it would be the best 3 star I've stayed in but for one significant problem. The bedroom walls are made of kleenex and spit! There is absolutely no soundproofing, if the people in the next room as much as farted I could hear it clearly...which was particularly bad news for the people in the room next to me ;-) There is a free to air porn channel which can be used to cover up those intimate moments that are part of any couples Paris visit. My wife and I recently stayed at this lovely hotel in the heart of Paris. The staff were particularly helpful and friendly and nothing seemed too much trouble for them. The rooms are on the smallish side, but very well appointed and comfortable. The breakfast room/bar is pleasant and the breakfast menu has everything you need to set you up for the day, apart from cooked meals. We have been staying in several hotels in Paris over the years, and without doubt this was the best of them all. Great service from the extremely friendly staff, excellent breakfast and conveniently located near the Gare de l'est (2 min) and Gare du nord (15 min walking).

This hotel scores 5 out of 5 for sheer value. The friendly service is exceptional. The rooms though not huge are modern, super clean and well-appointed with massive flatscreen TVs. Breakfast is really good too! The location is great for getting around - close to Gare de l'Est for train or metro, and the upcoming area around Canal St Martin. You really can't go wrong here and the staff are only too happy to help with whatever queries or problems you have.

We have been coming to Paris for over 20 years, and must have stayed in a dozen or more hotels, but after our last stay we will undoubtedly always return to the Villa St Martin. As other reviews have said, the staff are wonderfully helpful and accommodating. Moreover, the hotel is perfectly placed for both the Gare De L'Est(3 minutes away) and the Gare Du Nord(10 minutes away). My husband and I have just spent 5 nights at this excellent hotel in a good location, 15 minutes' walk from the Gare du Nord and only 2 minutes from the delightful canal St Martin. Extremely welcoming and helpful staff, spotlessly clean rooms, efficent shower, and breakfast of fresh fruit, cereals, meats, cheese, yoghurts, croissants and breads. Our room was small but wasn't a problem. We would definitely recommend and certainly stay there again.

My name is Mr.Bhalla from uk. It is a very comfortable hotel. Buffet breakfast choice excellent. Friendly staff who have been very helpful. The rooms are clean and air-conditioning very useful. A very useful feature is the storage of luggage in a secure environment which allows more precious time in Paris. This is our third stay here and we will definitely chose this hotel again.

From the moment we arrrived the staff were pleasent and very helpful. They all spoke English, and helped us with directions, recommendations of where to eat and also let us keep our bags in a secure room on our last day when we checked out(11.30am) so we wouldn't have to carry all around the city. A good location, very near to the metro and many restaurants to choose from. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Good breakfast. The room vwas modern and clean. I would difinitely stay there again on my next trip to Paris.

Eight of us stayed at this Hotel from 29th May to the 1st of June 2007. Excellent location for Metro and Bus Good breakfast, clean rooms and the front desk staff were excellent. You need to take a kettle with you if you want to make tea or coffee in the morning and the Hotel need a toaster in the Breakfast room, other than that it was excellent. Highly recommended
