First trip abroad
from A TripAdvisor Member
This was my first trip to Europe and was a 59th birthday present to myself. I stayed at the Villa Pantheon for two weeks. I was warmly received and during my stay got to know the staff quite well. My first contact was with Ms. Charlotte Jennings, who is the reservation clerk for the hotel, she was extremely helpful and I reserved my room via the internet. Because I had not traveled in Europe at all I was skeptical at first but with Ms. Jennings assistance I overcame all of that and was excited about the trip. I would be remiss if I...

Adequate
from A TripAdvisor Member
Hotel is nicely located near Latin Quarter. Decor is plush, rooms adequate but a touch small. Try not to stay in room 111 on ground floor near the well. Its very dark. No restuarant but many nearby. Breakfast has nice selection hot and cold. My little boy had only a croissant one morning and they still charge us full breakfast rate at 25 euros. A bit stingy, don't you think. I would also not pay full rack rate for this hotel.
Good, but would not pay the normal rate

I stayed at the Villa Pantheon earlier this year. The hotel is nicely decorated, in a quite loud stripy/Scottish theme! The room was small, as many are in Paris, but the facilities were good and everything was clean. My only problem with hotels like this are the extortionate rates that people pay. I never pay full price, and will only book hotels through travel websites or on special offer. I stayed here for about 80 pounds per night, at the hotel the rates were around 400 euros per night which is terrible! Not worth that!
Slightly disappointed

The Villa Pantheon was our home base for four days of Paris exploration. Despite being a bit out of the way from most of the Paris attractions it is in the Latin district which is a very nice area with some good restaurants. The rooms are small but very clean with nice bathrooms and the beds and pillows were comfortable. When we checked in they tried to get us to spend 50 Euro on a membership which would entitle us to a free room upgrade. We declined and when we arrived in our quiet courtyard room the clerk called and told us he would...

Excellent hotel, excellent location
from A TripAdvisor Member
Booked hotel for family birthday celebration and was very nervous about it on the way there. When we arrived we were told our rooms would be ready at 2.30pm. We went and had coffee in the nearby Bar Twickenham - do not go there - very surly staff and extortionate prices for beer. Our rooms were ready more or less at 2.30pm and were wonderful. Spotlessly clean and excellent decor. I notice a lot of the reviews say that the rooms are small - but I think Americans are used to much larger rooms. The room was big enough to house a huge...

GREAT HOTEL!
from A TripAdvisor Member
This was our second time at the Villa Pantheon. Once again it was a wonderful experience. Our room was beautiful, quiet and air conditioned. The staff was friendly, polite and accommodating. Our room was well cleaned and stocked everyday. Our first visit to Paris was summer 2003. We found the Villa Pantheon on Expedia and we were not disappointed. We enjoyed our stay so much we decided to stay there again this summer. The hotel is close to the Pantheon, Notre Dame and many other great places to see. It was fun...

Going Back a Second Time
from A TripAdvisor Member
My wife and I spent the last three days of our honeymoon last summer at the viila P. Despite the fact our room was not available on our first night (they moved us to another property, close by, and paid for our meals-nice touch), the next two nights at the Villa P were superb. Our room was LARGE and beautifully decorated. As many reviewers have noted, you cannot beat the location. We decided to go back this summer-leaving on Friday-and spending a week there. Great prices on hotels. I will let you know how it goes!
Average, but good location.

The room was small, but very clean and the decor was nice and typically 'French'. The bathroom was very modern. We found the staff not to be very helpful. The airconditioning did not work and the man at reception informed us it had just broke that day and would be fixed by the next day. It wasn't. We also noticed a comment by another guest in the guest book who also complained about the airconditioning not working which was dated two days before our arrival!! Our three night stay was very hot and humid! The house keeping was great though....

good location, good room, good service
from joscar76
the hotel is set in an ideal location, in the heart of the left bank (but still somewhat peaceful), close to major sites as well as metro. we upgraded for an extra 50e (total, for a 6 night stay) to a larger room with a view. the street, for paris, is not that noisy, especially late at night. our a/c worked and the room was always clean. the staff was helpful, some more than others. michel, the main night staff, was exceptionally helpful - more than once he left us written info outside our room with detailed answers to our questions....

Decent, but parents beware!
from A TripAdvisor Member
My wife and I only stayed 2 nights during the last part of our europen honeymoon. The hotel is cute and charming and decorated in very dark colors (feels a bit like a men's lodge or hunting club). Our regular room was quite small but not unmanageable. The room and bathroom were well maintained and very clean. Our toilet seat was broken upon arrival and it was fixed within an hour of our saying something. The front desk staff was very friendly to us (especially for Paris standards) and very accomodating (restuarant bookings, taxi reservations...
