Mykonos Theoxenia

We adore Mykonos and wanted a very good quality, quirky hotel really close to the centre of Mykonos town. Theoxenia Hotel fitted the bill superbly.
My husband and I went in mid-September and got great weather, although the season was just about at it’s' end. The hotel is trendy, 1960's minimalist in style. With it's single storey design and themed rooms, gorgeous pool, internet connections, satellite TV. and gym, it felt more like a groovy millionaire's mansion than a hotel!
We were virtually the only Brits in this hotel (which was fine by us!) and it seemed to attract a rather chic, adult crowd. The staff here speak good English and are discreet and friendly. Paying extra for a superb sea view and deluxe room is nice but really not necessary - these rooms are spacious but can be noisy as they are above a popular little road and a pool view might be just as...er... interesting?
The buffet breakfast has to be seen to be believed - smoked salmon and buck's fizz was my personal choice but even the most fussy eater would have been tempted by the choice of hot and cold dishes and quality of the food here. We dined in the hotel one evening when the food, once again, was excellent.
Mykonos town with it's abundance of little streets, bars, shops, restaurants etc. is just a stones throw away. I recommend to you Theoxenia Hotel. In fact, we intend to go back again this year!
