First of all, (looking at some of the reviews) it is VERY unfair to judge & review the Santa Clara & give 1/10 for them, when it appears to be the tour operator (T.Cook) who messed things up. You should review the Accommodation not the Tour Operator. Ok then .... I... more

I stayed at Santa Clara January 2010 for 2 weeks. They are basic but are kept very clean with the maid coming in daily except Sunday. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. The gardens and pools are very well maintained. They are central to all the bars, restaurants... more

Stayed at the Santa Clara 2nd week in March. Hotel not too bad-remember it is only 2 star though. Our bungalow No 256 was clean enough for us lads. Cockroaches we only saw 2 in our room, both on the last day as it happened. Both pools are fantastic, enough space to lounge around and catch the sun (and eye up the females!). Good points, it's cheap, location excellent, good pool areas and rooms tidy enough for us lot. please avoid this place. ive been to the canaries at least 10 times, ive never had any problems. ive stayed in 1 key accomadation upwards. We arrived at 5am. as soon as we got to the bungalow we found a cockroach in the bathroom. That did not bother me to much, as i had come prepared with spray. I sprayed the whole bungalow, got into bed and then they appeared. loads runnuing everywere. the bunglow was rundown and grubby. We left at 6am, it took us 2 hours to find a hotel. I stayed here in 2002 and would recommend it to anyone! Polite and friendly staff, two pools, tennis court, large grounds and each bungalow has it's own designated garden area to relax in. Excellent location with TONS of restaurants, pubs and shopping centres just five minutes walk away. Decent sized rooms with a lovely clean atmosphere. You really could have a holiday just staying in the complex with it's beautiful scenery, pool side bar and clean settings. I will definitely be staying here again and suggest you do too! Just came back from a ten day holiday at the Santa Clara apartments, the complex was lovely, well maintained grounds, tennis courts, two adult pools, two childrens pools, jacuzzi, pool bar/snacks - nice well priced. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only complaint was the maid service - sheets on the bed when we arrived could have been cleaner and even when they were changed they weren't very clean, the towels were only changed twice although we spoke to other people and their maid service was fine. group of 3 girls travelled here on august 9th for 1 week. We Were not looking forward to going from the reviews that we read on this page, but when we arrived they were lovely. 2 pools, 1 with a jaquzzi. Read about the ginger cat, seen it a couple of times. only bad thing is that the security man locked us out a couple of times, but thats what we get for not coming home at a reasonable time and enjoying ourselfs...diffently booking again for these bunglows next year but this time for 2 weeks...easy access to all centres within walking... more

We have recently returned from the Santa Clara Bungalows and had an excellent time. Don’t believe the bad review’s. The bungalow was very clean and the maid attended 5 out of the 7 days we were there, she even made the beds when the children forgot. The staff on reception were very helpful. We had no outside chairs, I reported this to reception and they delivered some within 20 mins, very efficient. The grounds were very pleasant and the pools excellent, even had a Jacuzzi. we read the reviews before we left for gran canaria on the 5th june 2004.They made us feel slightly anxious about what we were letting oursleves in for! As we arrived, we looked and thought oh god. I read alot of reviews on this accomodation before I went and was very nervous about what to expect on my arrival.On arrival it looks slightly like a prison as high fences around the outside of the complex and around the majority of the bungalows, this looked the same in all the other complexes in the area. We had no problems with security or did we hear of any.We stayed in number 283, the bungalow accomodated 5 people so was more than what we needed.Basic style bungalow, very equipt kitchen and 2 good size bedrooms with built-in wardrobes... more

returned on 22nd march 2004 after 2 weeks at santa clara bugalows. our bungalow was neat and tidy if in need of some updating and general repairs. i understand some have been done so its pot luck wich one you get. cockroaches are a problem there is spray provded. in two weeks we only saw 2. yes i would stay there again .

We have been to the Santa Clara Bungalows many times, and allways enjoyed the experience. It is in a very central location, no more than 10 mins. from the beach. It is a family run complex, with many bungalows being privately occupied, giving it a friendly feeling.
