The Vistamar studios are by far the best self-catering accommodation I have ever stayed in. Every studio is incredibly well equipped and individually decorated. Each studio also has a full sea and pool view and the sea is, in fact, just a few feet away. At night all you can hear in your studio is the sound of the sea lapping on the shore.
The Vistamar has a wonderful restaurant and the meals were huge. It was priced on a par with all other restaurants in the area but people came back time and time again to eat there. This accommodation is more suited to couples and older people than families as there are no facilities for children. All couples there seemed to appreciate the air of peace and tranquillity.
The resort of Santo Tomas is very small with a limited amount of bars and eating-places and a lovely beach. It is quite expensive in the supermarkets but then I don’t think Minorca is cheap anywhere.
I would strongly recommend this resort and accommodation to anyone interested in Minorca.

Rained for 3 days, very quiet resort, studio apartments very small but clean, bus to Mahon every 15 mins, bus stop outside Vistamar studios.
One Chinese restaurant in resort poor food. Santo Tomas restaurant good.
Receptionist very helpful. We would not go back.
Mahon capital worth a visit so is Ciutadella. El Toro highest point on island is worthwhile although shop at the top is not.
Punto Prima is worth a visit nice promenade.
