The hotel itself is excellent in terms of accommodation and food, however 2 things to watch out for:
1) We upgraded to an executive room and it states that we get free water and fruit for this, however here is the CON.... the big bottles of Evian water which are NOT in the mini bar, but are on the desk... you PAY for, the 'free' water is two little bottles of sparkling water by the small fruit bowel . It is not clear unless you read the small print and even if we had of done we would have thought it was free for us executive upgrade guests. So for 3 nights it cost us 1120 Ckz ( about 36 British pounds ) for 4 bottles of water.
I did try to check our bill on the online TV in the room the previous day , but it said it couldnt retrieve it .... maybe so we wouldnt see they charged us for the water.
By the 'stock' answer we received, i suspect this scenario has been played out many times with unsuspecting guests.
They also locked us out of our room early, check out is 2pm , we couldnt get back in to our room at 1.45pm. As executive upgrade it was possible to check out at 4pm but they told us they needed the room.
TIP, if you go around the corner to Pankrac Metro Station , buy your water there about 1 pound a big bottle!!!!
2) Hotel Taxi - they wanted 750 Ckz to take us to a club in Prague 8, I rang City Taxi ... same trip 300 Ckz!!!!!
As i said , the hotel is very nice and the food very good, but watch out for the small 'squeezes' they try and stick you with. Money is not the issue here with us, but the sneaky 'screw' the guest policy.
Also the staff member karina/ Katina in the executive room in the lobby seemed to adopt a ' sod you' attitude when we checked out and queried the bill. Bit of a sad end to a good trip
Oh and one final thing, loads of building works next door , going on through the night!!!! , five huge cranes dominate the skyline and view , so we couldnt have the window open at night as the noise of the clanging and workers was too much
Would we come back ... yes... but i'd buy my own water!!!!

We stayed at the Corinthia Panorama and I must say it was great for what we paid. We booked through GTA hotels and paid 38 pounds a night.
The hotel is on the metro line and around a two minute walk from the Pankrac station. The hotel is a modern 4 star hotel and I would say it would be 3/4 star back home.
Rooms:
We were lucky and had a room on the 23rd floor so had a great view over Prague (once the fog cleared).
The beds were nice, pillows massive. The room had all facilities you'd expect. Shower nice and large and easy to use, minibar, TV with CNN, Sky News, Sky Sports not that you’re in Prague to watch the TV.
Hotel facilities were plentiful, restaurant and bars. There was also a swimming pool for a small fee. There was even a casino for the extra pennies you have left at the end of the night.
Location was fine; it was much cheaper than city centre hotels, yet only 10 mins out for less than 50p by metro.
Metro stops at 12, taxi was between 5 and 8 pounds. Make sure you use AAA cabs.
Good hotel at a good price.

The 8 is for the hotel & not Lastminute.com who we booked with. We booked the hotel & flight at the same time online & when we got the confirmation email they had booked two for the hotel and only one flight! They refused to refund the parts of the trip they had booked. Their customer service was an absolute disgrace with staff completely refusing to accept responsibility & lying, saying they were sorting it out when they had done nothing - that’s if they didn’t cut us off first. When we did get to speak to a manager which was extremely hard due to the unhelpful staff, they were just as bad! Finally we managed to get it sorted thanks to one (& only one!) helpful customer service rep. & got a discount as a result of all the trouble Lastminute had caused, due to a technical fault. I think this hotel is mainly used for business, though we stayed here as we went to see Faithless at the Vystaviste. Probably the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in, although I haven't stayed in many 4* hotels, was very impressed. Location itself is not very good as it seems to be in the middle of nowhere! However, it is so close to the metro station & the transport links in Prague are so good it was not a problem at all. We had a double room & the bed was huge. Breakfast was nice, served the usual stuff, I would recommend having breakfast in your room once while you are there – just make sure you’re hungry! From what I have seen, it is very expensive to stay here if booked with the hotel itself, we just happened to get a cheap deal (plus the discount). The hotel is very well presented & has lots of facilities, although it is disappointing that such a posh hotel would charge extra (quite a lot extra too!) for certain things like the pool, gym & massages, although the safe in the room was free. Not that you go away to sit in the room, but for a 4* hotel I would have expected more TV channels. The restaurant is also very expensive compared to those in the town. We found the people in Prague apart from those in the tourist industry to be extremely rude, but maybe they just don’t like English people, understandable I suppose. The sex museum is a must, as is having dinner in the highest building in Prague, the TV tower, but don’t have the trout! Overall, there is a lot to do in Prague, it is very beautiful & inexpensive, but the people are mean. The hotel is very nicely presented, rooms are a good size, décor, bathroom & breakfast is nice, transport links were great. Would be disappointed if I had to pay a lot to stay here, not because of the hotel itself, but because of the extras you have to pay for once you are there, which you would expect to be free from such a nice hotel.

Classy hotel very close to the metro line. Great location if you're staying in Prague for a conference at the Congress Centre, just 2 stops down the line. Another 2 stops and you're bang in the centre on Wensleslas square.
The hotel itself is quite pricey, but just about worth it. Concierge service and reception very helpful. Hotel contains 2 restaurants, bars and even a casino! Great buffet evening meal in on restaurant that was very reasonably priced, although main restaurant quite expensive and beer about double what you pay in Prague main square.
A good variety at breakfast, even if a little strange - goulash anyone?! Normal continental and cakes available for the less adventurous!
It's a hotel that's obviously on the touring holiday list as there were great parties of people arriving every night and disappearing again in the morning, made the lifts very crowded at certain times and with 24 floors there's not another viable option.
Free Wifi on a couple of floors, but beware hidden extras like the gym & pool, which is not included (£5/hr) and £6 for a bottle of water in the room was a rip-off!
However overall a good place to stay, convenient and friendly - if your company is footing the bill!
