I and my Mum stayed here all inclusive for a week. We had a brilliant time. The Hotel was lovely, the bedrooms are very spacious with a nice walk in shower.

We both thought the food was lovely and had a very good variety (although I did miss my English sausages).

The pools were very nice. Also it didn't take long to get served when it got busy. Once the staff asked your name they knew it for the rest of the holiday.

We gave our room service guy a small tip for cleaning our room each day and he couldn't do enough for us. Some of the patterns he made out of the towels were brilliant.

The free shuttle bus was good that took you to Old Sharm. This was an experience but I think it would be better if you have a man with you as I don't think you would get hassled as much. I had guys proposing to me.

Once you told them to leave you alone though they did. It also took you to the beach which was nice, you also had an All inclusive restaurant and bar there. So you don't have to miss out. The food was very nice.

You should really take a good look in the jewellery shop ( Sam's in the hotel) he is very nice, both Myself and Mum brought a ring each for about £85 we have since had them valued at home and they are worth over double what we paid. Also just outside the hotel are some more shops.

The first one that you come to that sells hand blown glass bottles also sells perfume, but this perfume is in the oil form you only have to put one drop on you and it lasts from morning to night. Just ask him if he can mix a perfume up for you. I and Mum both brought the Red DKNY.

We both tried snorkelling for the first time, we went out on a boat for the day and snorkelled in 3 different places, this was absolutely amazing, and there were fish that were the colours of the rainbow.

I would most definitely recommend this Hotel. I and Mum have already booked up to go this December 2007 with our partners.

We stayed at St. George from 22/04/07 till 6/05/07 and I must say my husband and I had a great holiday.

The hotel is lovely, the staff are great, food is good and the swimming pools are great. Very very clean hotel, the staff are always cleaning.

We went all inclusive and you can eat and drink all day, very good indeed.

You are not far from Naama bay, just a short taxi ride takes you there, about 25 Egyptian pounds I paid each way, which is about £2.50 each way.

The hotel has its own private beach, the hotel bus takes you there, it’s lovely and the all inclusive is on the beach as well.

The only thing I didn’t like was all the jelly fish in the sea, they were harmless but I didn’t like them.

The evening entertainment at the hotel was pretty low key, but we didn’t really go to that much anyway. We went with our friends and liked to have a drink at the bar in the evenings. There are three bars at the hotel.

Anyway if you are going to this hotel I am sure you will have a great time.

The weather was superb, ranging from 35c to 40c each day.

Just returned from a 7day well earned break with average temp of 38 + degrees to a very rainy UK. So yes I have the holiday blues!

After reading the reviews before we left, we had no worries about the hotel itself and have to agree with most of them.

The hotel was clean, staff very friendly and the food excellent but would probably get bored with it after 2 weeks... but that tends to be the case at other "all inclusive" we have been on.

The hotel itself is a little isolated but the shuttle bus is there if you wanted.

Can’t comment on the Animation Team, as we never saw them, we stayed by the quiet pool and they were at the main pool, but am sure they were great if that’s what you want.

We just wanted to chill for a week.

Having said that, my husband went diving for 4 days and even I ventured out and went snorkelling... fantastic.

For a first time to Egypt, it was fantastic and would definitely go back to St George and highly recommend it.

The only down side for me was that for the first two days, the temp hit 43 degrees, too hot but whose fault is that.... no one, what do you expect in Egypt in May, so you can’t knock the hotel for that can you!

Just got back from 2 weeks at this hotel, 10/10. St George hotel is 4* and if you complain then shame on you! Stay in Blackpool if your name is moaner! Or very hard to please!

We came as a party of 10 people, and everyone will return there soon! We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it! (Except airport)

Staff: - 10/10

All staff were superb! Very helpful and polite too, if you need anything at all then just ask and they will sort it for you.

Pools: - 10/10

No pool bar though as now not swim up, this is a bit safer though as no drinks spilling into pool.

The 2 pools are both heated, even in summer and winter! One is quiet and one has music games animation team ect. You choose!

Loungers are padded and plentiful also with brollies! Wow! Fresh towels whenever you wish to change them.

Bars: - 10/10

Lobby bar runs till 12 midnight then bells rings ending all inclusive system!

Don’t be fooled by bell meaning last orders! Get your drinks in early as prices increase to about £2.50 for brandy lemonade. Or £1.20 for a bottle local lager.

Ice cubes throughout the hotel are ok as made from bottled water.

Get to know you bar staff and be friendly with them, and yes they will give you more than one drink at a time if you ask nicely, but don't abuse this, and put some money in the tips box as this helps I’m sure. A please and thank you every time costs you nothing!

Rooms: - 10/10

Our room was spacious and very clean, free air con was brill! Aircon and lights are run from electric fob on your key ring and cut out when you take out fob, tip!! Take of key and leave fob in slot, room cleaners will not touch this and room is cool when you return at night!

TV was good with all English live football, so not missed a game! This is bonus if you like football.

There are no hairdryers irons or kettles provided, so if you really need anything like this then take it with you! (you can get a hairdryer from reception if you forget your own, not sure if this comes with a price or is free, but would not be much to pay I’m sure).

There is a fridge with a bottle of water which can be reused in fresh water dispensers everywhere!

Also safe box is free.

Main restaurant: - 10/10

Food was good and plentiful, there are at least 6 courses to choose from every night not including veggies ect.

Please do not eat a bit of everything every night as it will obviously become repetitive for you. It is safe to eat salads as washed in bottled water.

Entertainment: - 5/10

Animation team effort 10/10

Equipment provided for them to entertain you with 1/10

I think this is a new concept to them, we brits are a very hard bunch to please when it comes down to live entertainment, so do not expect anything decent at all.

They do make every effort to make you happy, but it is not in any way what you could call professional entertainment, so don't be too disappointed as this is Egypt! And they are quite a bit behind the likes of Benidorm and Blackpool in this department, and equipment is very expensive for them!

But as for effort, you cannot fault them!

They will be improving the entertainment very soon! With investment from hotel and myself! So it may not affect you too much.

Good luck!

St George beach bar restaurant and beach via shuttle bus: - 10/10

Food better at beach! Was a nice surprise. Bar as hotel, faultless.

Beach shale rather than sand, but ok, lots padded loungers with brollies. Sea warm clear and full of fish if you walk around beach to corals!

Also numerous watersports, so no worries there!

Sharm airport is a joke! Waited 2 hours 2 get cases ready for transfers, but this is Egypt so don't expect too much! 0/10

Outside shopping & taxes & trips ect:- 5/10

Very similar to Turkey here, only worse! You really need to haggle!

Start at no more than 1/3 of asking price, as they hike up prices loads to start with. You should be looking at no more than half original asking price, or what you think is a fair price or are prepared to pay.

Yes haggle haggle and haggle! Walk away! Well away! Then get a good price when they come after you! They and you may not like this, but this is normal practice for them, and the only way to stop yourself being ripped off!

The dreaded mosquitoes! 4/10

Yes there are mossies about inside this hotel, and lots of them at night near pool bars!

They are there due to the water treatment plant right next door! They are so small you may not see many. So take plenty of protection and treatment and you should be ok.

This is the only sore point I could find wrong! But they do spray deet! But not enough to combat them successfully.

Bear in mind most hot countries have mosquito and you will be fine.

Last word!-

Remember! You are visiting a third world developing man made resort!!

Do not expect too much and you will be very pleased!

If you want a very good friendly hotel, hot weather with lots of sun, relaxation, cheapo all inclusive and brill snorkelling in sea, and you are open minded, and not a constant moaner or fault finder, then this is definitely for you!

But if you used to being pampered in total lavish luxury! And you are wanting top entertainment and nightlife, top nosh, top dollar surroundings, then stay away from Egypt all costs!!

Or perhaps try booking some 5* ++ classy hotel right in centre of Naama bay if you can find one!! Good luck to you moaners!! And shame on you!

We enjoyed Sharm, and st Georges is the best!

My boyfriend and I went to Egypt for the first time for 2 weeks and we loved it.

It’s a great place to spend your holiday especially if you have kids, you can’t go wrong will the all inclusive. We went in April and it was red red hot, it would have been too warm in July.

The beaches are lovely if you like snorkelling, or scuba diving, it is the best place to go to. All the fish, there is loads and they are amazing.

Would definitely go back again and the staff at the hotel are sound. We are hoping to go back in September.

Just got back from a brilliant holiday. We would definitely recommend St. Georges, Three Corners to anyone.

We had a lovely quiet room overlooking the garden. Room was very spacious, with fridge, telly, and large bathroom room, safe.

A 2 litre bottle of water was in the room when we arrived, which could be filled up at the various water dispensers around the hotel - a really good idea or saving money and plastic waste.

Rooms were cleaned well everyday and the fresh towels were made into swans and hearts and things, which was a nice touch.

Food was good, and something to suit everyone's taste buds.

Recommend the snorkelling boat trip to Ras Mohammad and the Sunset cruise with meal for those who want a romantic evening, booked these trips through the rep and both were excellent value for money.

Staff were very friendly and nothing was 'too much trouble'. Had a wonderful massage in the health spa in the hotel.

Pools are good, two to choose from with bars (one loud, one quiet).

St. Georges beach (free shuttle bus), was lovely and quiet, and you get fed there also.

Wish we had booked two weeks.

Just returned from a lovely fun week in Sharm. Cannot fault the hotel.

Food was maybe a tad repetitive but lots of choice and clean and the staff couldn’t do enough to help on requests of food. I didn’t have a bad tummy once and I ate salads and fruit

Hotel was clean, staff were friendly and made you feel so welcome. There wasn’t much to do in the hotel in the evening just sat in the bar which was quiet smoky but I’ve been informed it is now non smoking since we left

Went into Naama Bay , suggest the Camel Bar. Shuttle bus to beach was always on time. Buffet lunch at beach too all Inclusive. Plenty of watersports there. We did fantastic dive day through the pirates Dive club, the guys were wicked and we paid just £30.00 for whole day with lunch.

You have to do the quad bikes across the desert is amazing and the best day Of my holiday. I would defo return to the Sharm and to St George Hotel. Oh and the weather was in the 90's most days!! Holiday Blues have kicked in already.

I enjoyed my stay in Egypt at the St Georges Three Corners hotel.

The food was excellent and lots of choice with waiters available to ask on certain delicacies.

I found the staff excellent and the standard of the hotel was 10 out of 10.

It was a bit boring at night in the bar regarding entertainment but I was there for the purpose of a chill out from work time and resting.

I would recommend the hotel to my friends and would go back there without hesitation again, thank you to all the staff for making my stay at St George's so wonderful.

Hopefully see you again.

Just arrived back from St George’s had a fantastic time.

Hotel excellent staff very warm and friendly couldn't do enough to please you. Cleanliness 2nd to none.

Food outstanding variety of choice cooked to perfection.

Shuttle service and taxi service from hotel excellent (don't recommend blue and white taxi's unless wearing a helmet and gas mask, very crazy!)

Beaches of high standard all inc available there too, sun beds and towels free and clean.

Booked snorkelling with Chico On St George’s beach, it’s a must, excellent day out for the money, lunch and soft drinks included.

Red Sea to die for excellent corals and fish (Organised holiday companies on same boat except they paid more money as normal).

First time visit will definitely be returning.

If travelling with young family check out Naama bay's pizza hut, Kentucky and McDonalds, won't believe the prices very very cheap!

Not long back from a 10 day well deserved break and all I can say is, fantastic!

The people are so friendly it puts us Europeans to shame, already looking to book again for October, done the snorkelling done the quad biking and both were fantastic.

The hotel is spotlessly clean, the food I didn’t have a problem with but some people did, I got the scoots but who didn't, didn't have cramps or anything though.

All in all the whole experience was amazing and will definitely be going back. 10 out of 10.

I have returned to England from a two-week stay at St George three corners hotel and feel that it was one of the best holidays that myself and my family have experienced.

There were ten of us who stayed altogether and all agreed that it excelled our expectations from its service, to the room, to its cleanliness and to the food.

The hotel itself was well laid out although we sometimes found it to be quite noisy in the corridors at night.

We felt as though we were treated excellently, particularly by the restaurant and the bar staff who were helpful, polite and made us feel very welcome.

They were always on hand to provide information about local delicacies and as we sat in the same place daily, they appeared to notice this and set the exact number of places for our party, which made us feel like individuals.

The food was fantastic, cooked to perfection and provided a great choice. The choice of inclusive drinks was wider than other places where we have previously stayed.

The cleanliness excelled my expectations and I felt as though the domestics who seemed to work both day and night worked incredibly hard.

The cleaner who cleaned our room daily made our stay all the more special by the way in which he left ornate 'sculptures' from towels on our bed.

We also appreciated the Animation team's efforts to engage us in activities throughout the holiday. We found them to be very warm and fun people to have around.

The night-time entertainment was adequate although might have been better taking place in a purpose-built bar, rather than people having to move from the Rendezvous bar.

We had very little contact with the guest relations desk and reception, although they were very informative and were there when we needed them. Although there was little to do in the area, we did appreciate the free bus to the private beach and to Naama bay.

We also found the bus driver to be a very nice and friendly person.

One member of our party did come down with a stomach bug, although this was following a visit to the market at Sharm.

A pleasant stay and we will be hopefully going again sometime.

I travelled in a party of four and were very surprised after reading many dubious comments.

The hotel is very nice, staff are extremely friendly, the rooms are fab, really big and spacious and very clean as are the bathrooms (Much better than the Hilton Dreams we stayed at after our flight was delayed).

The pool is nice, there is a heated part which is lovely! The food is fine, breakfast is definitely the best, plenty of pastries, fruit, cereals and fried (although not typically English...but it is a Muslim country!)

Lunch and dinner are also good, similar to what is served at the Hilton. There is always rice, pasta, chips, some sort of potato dish and vegetables. Try not to have everything on one night, that's how the food gets repetitive, you will find that the people that moan are those that have chicken, rice, chips, veg, salad and then a pasta dish!

However, if you do get fed up restaurants in Egypt are very cheap.

Don't expect to find all inclusive like the Caribbean, you wont go hungry but it isn't constant food. Also forget the remarks about food making people ill. I ate everything and was totally fine.

However, others in my party did have a bit of a poorly tummy but nothing that stopped them enjoying their holiday. This could be from anything though!

The pool is nice, and the beauty salon fab!

If you get the chance do go snorkeling, I'm a pretty rubbish swimmer but it was still excellent we saw turtles, sting rays, rainbow fish it was amazing. We booked with the guy off the beach and it cost £17 for a full day including lunch!

The entertainment is the only downside, it's just not that entertaining!

The hotel is extremely good value for money, I probably wouldn't go back as I don't like to return to the same place twice.

Returned from St Georges in early Dec after a rather enjoyable week in the sun.

I could go on about what was right and wrong about he resort and the hotel but I suggest you have a try for yourself. A few tips though

* Remember where you are going... It's not Blackpool.

* Remember how much you are paying...It's dearer in Blackpool.

* Take in consideration the heat by day and the coolness by night in Dec

* Forget any star ratings Hotels or Travel Companies give out and do your research yourself.

* Be open minded to local customs and cultures...as you do in Blackpool.

* Don't listen to hotel gossip try things for yourself.

Would I go back? probably not - but we never return to the same resort anyway.

Would I recommend St Georges? For the price, absolutely yes.

Do I have any regrets? - Not going on the quad bike ride (upset tummy that day).

Go on have a good holiday but be open minded

Regards

The Platts... Happy New Year

PS.Yes - I have stayed in Blackpool, so I know.

I would have given this place 0 but I couldn't! Where to start.

Lets start with the room. This is supposed to be a 4* hotel and we went all inclusive. Your room is just a bed, TV and shower...that's it. No iron, kettle, hairdryer or anything else that you would expect in a 4* hotel.

The beds were ok, clean and tidy but the shower was disgusting. Dirty with hair everywhere. The toilet leaked and the toilet brush was vile and looked like it had been there for years.

Oh and the Internet advised that the rooms all have a pool or garden view. Ours overlooked a main road and our friends overlooked a water treatment plant! Nice!

The food was awful as well. Just the same old crap served everyday. Not the international cuisine. My husband and I ate out 3 nights in Naama Bay ( TGI's is the best place to eat in town, cheap and really good quality food).

If we did have lunch/dinner, we would normally have just soup or a sandwich. Please note that we are not the beer and chips brigade. I would be ashamed to serve this to my dog! It was that bad and it is NOT a restaurant. You are not shown to your seat and asked if you require a drink from the bar. You just find a table and scramble to the food.

It reminded me of a school cafeteria. There were flies everywhere and food was just left without cover. Oh and make sure you plate is finished with, coz if you leave it for one second, someone will collect it!

The only good thing about the food is that it is so unappetising, you wont actually want to eat so therefore may lose some weight! haha, combine this with the sickness and diarrhea means you may lose a couple of pounds!

Which leads me onto the illness. We were both ill. My husband was really ill. Soaring temperature and shivers. Thus spending all day Saturday in bed...the next day I was ill.

After a couple of paracetamols and some diacalm we seemed to be ok. Our temperature went down and we felt ok but the constant diarrhea remained. Which posed a problem in our room as the toilet leaked!

To sum this place up. My warning would be not to go there. Pay extra to stay somewhere nicer like the Hilton in Sharks Bay, (our flight was delayed and this is where we were put).

Never ever again!
