Firstly I have to say that I am amazed to see such positive 10 out of 10 reviews about this hotel. Knowing what us Brits can be known for complaining about i'm surprised not to see a few more bad reviews.

My first impressions of Egypt were not great as straight away at the airport they were tryin to get money out of us by offering to take our suitcases about 5 yards and charge us 20 egyptian pounds for the priviledge! From that point on, I could not relax in that country and to be honest the whole hassling culture tainted my whole holiday.

When we arrived at the hotel we were shown to our room, it was probably the worst located room in the whole hotel but to be honest this really didn't bother either me or my boyfriend. We were the furthest room away on the ground floor by the main road. After seeing people stranded in reception as the hotel had no booking in their name I was just glad our tour operator had got us a room at all!

We arrived about dinner time so we unpacked and headed into the restaurant. I've been on quite a few all inclusives and I love my food and drink, which is why I always go all inclusive. The main problem at this hotel is that they don't seem to like to let you over indulge. As a few other people have already said, you put your fork down for 2 seconds and your plate is gone. The waiters watch you eat and wait for the second you have finished. This would have made me feel uncomfortable goin back for a second plate but to be honest the selection of food was so poor I struggled to fill my plate.

I need to make one point clear, I am not a typical brit when it comes to food. I like to try different foods and I would hate to just have chips every day. But our first meal I can remember the only meat available was quail, there is rice and pasta everyday. But you get sick of the same stodge after a while and crave some real flavour. I can see why they do it though, to stop you being ill although we were both ill for a few days when we got back.

The evening entertainment is hit and miss, the entertainment team but a lot of effort in and its a shame they haven't got a better set up really. There isn't really anywhere to sit outside apart from by the ampitheatre which is FULL of mosquitos and also a long way away from an all inclusive bar (the bar by the theatre suprise surprise is one you have to pay at).

That was my main gripe with the hotel, is that it isn't really an all inclusive. You have to be on your toes all the time because you never know what they might charge you for. Quite a few items in the restaurant are extra, the theatre bar you have to pay for, etc. But then this is nothing compared to egypt itself.

You won't struggled to get away from the hotel, as soon as you even take a step towards the gate there's a queue of taxi drivers pipping their horns and shouting taxi at you. Don't bother trying to walk anywhere, it will take you forever as you keep having to say no thank you to a taxi driver every 3 seconds. And if you need to cross the road you can't, because as you wait for the cars to go past you realise they're all taxis and every single one stops in front of you. I'm sure that there aren't actually any pedestrian cars in sharm.

Some tips for your holiday:-

Go on the beouin night - it is amazing. It's great value for money, the hotel take you deep into the desert and the sky with all the stars is worth the money alone. You get a fantastic meal and a good few hours worth of entertainment and you're sat right in the middle of the bedouin mountains. you can also ride a camel if you want for a couple of extra egyptian pounds.

Take the shuttle bus to the coral beach - not the st george one. This isn't as well signposted, there's a small sign on the notice board in the hotel foyer which says something like "coral beach". But this beach is amazing. You can hire snorkelling gear and there's a jetty takes you right out over the edge of the coral. Before you even get half way across it you'll have seen 20 different kinds of fish

Be wary of some of the trip operators. We went quad biking and they just tried to rip us off all day. They insisted that we bought a photo of our trip or they wouldn't take us back to our hotel even though that was supposed to be part of the trip. I just told my boyfriend we'd walk back because I was insistant that i wasn't goin to give another egyptian anymore of my hard earned cash.

Overall the hotel was clean apart from the bathrooms, these could do with updating. The maids keep your room spotless, they even arrange your shoes. If you're looking for a relaxing holiday, don't bother with egpyt. You can't rest for more than 5 minutes on the beach without another person trying to sell you something. In 2 hours we were offered henna tattoos, day trips, plates, massages, and scuba diving lessons. One guy even tried to charge me for cleaning my sun glasses whilst i was asleep on the beach. They'll try anything to get money off you.

Be very wary of going into a shop, we did once on our first day and wouldn't make the same mistake again. We were in there for nearly an hour. They made us drinks, showed us their family photo album and then tried to charge us £120 (english pounds!) for 4 lumps of rock. When you say you have no money they say they will follow you to the hotel and you can pay them then. They really do think that we all come to egypt with £1000's to spend.

In summary Egpyt is a lovely country, but I wish that they would take some lesson's from the british shop keepers and leave you in a bit of peace and let you enjoy your holiday. I had to book another holiday to get over the stress of this one. If you are set on egypt, then this hotel is probably one of the better ones.

Thought I would post this one year late as I have just read the review describing this hotel as a brothel! As people may note if they read all reviews, this person is talking about a hotel in Dubai, not Sharm el Sheikh. The first give away was 10 floors and lifts. This hotel is only 2 stories high and no lifts. I stayed with my daughter and two grandchildren and would recommend this hotel without any reservations. We had an excellent holiday!

This lovely hotel , is spotlessly clean, Thank you to our lad, ( who was an absolute poppet)

Many Thanks to the catering team, as the food was excellent, the all inclusive wine was actually drinkable!!! woohoo!

And Hey Mario!!!! Get a crash helmet, you,re too precious to die young !!!! The animation team were wonderful with the kids, and were sensitive enough to leave the sun worshipers AKA Me alone. I enjoyed watching though boys...

Had a trip to the old town one afternoon, it must have been near worship time as swarms of men came from nowhere, I felt vulnerable and too naked and had to borrow a cover up for my shoulders, take heed ladies take a shawl or Pashmina when in Egyptian areas.

Went to Naama Bay by bus ,its ok , touristville you know??but efficient and hassle free bus run by hotel too, so fab.

Went horse riding in the desert, beautiful horses, who sadly are badly treated, tatty old tack, but for aventure seekers WOOOOOHOOO WAY TO GO!!!!

Me and my boyfriend in our 30s have just returned from this hotel, and wish we could have stayed for alot longer a week is not long enough.

What can I say about this place, absoluetly fantastic in every way, spotless rooms which are very spacious, food was fantastic, loads of choice every day, yes it was the same meat every day chicken, beef, fish and turkey but each time with a different sauce, so it didnt feel repetative!!!!

BIT OF ADVICE FOR ALL TRAVELLERS ONLY EAT FOOD THAT HAS BEEN FULLY COOKED, PASTA, MEAT, CHIPS, POTATOES, SOUPETC, DONT EAT RAW FOODS LIKE SALADS AND DONT EAT ICE UNLESS YOU WANT A TUMMY UPSET, IT IS VERY HARD TO RESIST THE SALADS BECAUSE THEY LOOK AMAZING BUT ITS RINSED IN THERE WATER HENSE TUMMY BUG!!!

The entertainment was brilliant many thanks to mario and shams who dragged us up to do pool games etc on the first day, once you have tried it and participated you always want to do it, and they really appreciate you getting involved, so when you go get off your backside and join in, your holiday will be far more enjoyable.

There is 2 pools one which has all the entertaiment and the other is the quiet side which is more suitable for the older and boring!!!

Every member of staff makes you feel welcome, Ahmed at the pool bar is brilliant, a really funny guy who always keeps you supplied with a drink, the beer was lovely, vodka tasted the same as in uk but trust me its alot stronger 2 and I was drunk.

We are going back in october with my 2 children, didnt want to take them to egypt at all but after being there and seeing the enviroment and how friendly they are its the best place in the world for children, and there is alot of food choice for them aswell.

If there is any bad reviews my advice is to ignore them unless your a jumped up snob aswell, in my opinion you couldnt get a better hotel, beautiful inside and out and well maintained.

Thankyou St.george for a fab holiday and we'll be seeing you all soon

Having just returned from the St George hotel at Sharm, both my wife and I were really impressed with the service we received from all the staff, they were excellent, and could not do enough for us.

On arrival we were given a room on the second floor, which meant I had to climb quite a few steps with no lift, and as I have a bad left leg, I found it a little difficult, so, we requested a room change to the lower floor, no problem, they bent over backwards to accomodate us, and the following morning all our luggage was transfered to a lovely room with no steps to climb, superb.

The food was first class, with plenty of selection for all the sittings, there again, all the staff in the dining room were at your beck and call, if your wine glass needed refilling, a slight nod of the head was sufficient to have it replenished.

The two waiters who really excelled in our opinion, were Robert at the beach bar, as I have a spattering of Arabic from my national service days, we managed to converse a little bit, and he was very helpfull in every way, and again the food at the beach bar was very good, then Fady, who appeared all over the hotel, he could mimic a Scouse accent as good as I speak it.

The main downfall is there not being anything in the locality of the hotel, and the nightly entertainment to say the least was crap, but there is a hotel minibus which takes you to Naama beach and St George beach on a regular basis, and taxis are not expensive.

If we go back to Sharm, we would stay at the St George no problem.

Went to St George Three Corners Hotel with my husband, sister and Brother in law. We enjoyed the days but the evenings could be quite monotonous, we played a lot of cards to while away the hours. There are three bars at the St George two outside and one inside, because it was cold at night you could not sit out side at the Pool Bars (no heaters provided) so everyone congregated in the Lobby Bat (i.e more like reception), the Entertainment Theater was a tent outside this is ok in the Summer not in winter.

Hotel spotlessly Clean, staff could not do enough for you especially on the beach although it was a man made beach is was excellent. Pool area a bit boring the entertainment team did what they could but it was very disjointed and much of a muchness volleyball and darts every day.

Coming to the food very repetitive chicken, fish, beef and not very hot at all(we had liver and duck once in the whole two weeks) my husband does not want to see chicken for a very long time . Although we enjoyed holiday we would not go back. Although we did not take any children there was a lack of things for them todo

Fantistic Holiday Would Recommend This Hotel To Everyone. Staff were excellent service outstanding food brill. The only downside for me was the location not a lot of sights to see within walking distance had to use taxi service but if you want a relaxing holiday with plenty to eat and drink go for it A night out at the Bedion night is a must and Namma Bay by night is an experience . I would advise strongly to take plenty of mozzie spray as they tend to like the blood of the english. Avon dry oil body spray is highly recommened. There is a free schuttle bus down to 2 loverly beaches and the snorkeling is fantastic. Anyone who likes sports there is a bar 3 min walk just outside of hotel. Now the weather when we were there it was hot 38 degrees not bad for 29th november

I read some pretty negative stuff about St George as well as some rave reviews so was in two minds about going. I am really glad I went. The hotel staff are excellent. Very helpful, friendly and efficient. You get the impression they really care about their job and your well being.

The rooms are a decent size and spotlessly clean. Probably a cultural thing but no women work in the hotel (unless they are hidden back-stage) If you stay ask for a room with a pool view, you really don't want to be facing the main road it is busy and noisy. The Blue pool is quieter than the main pool area. The restaurant is by the main pool.

Several disabled guests when we stayed and they seemed pretty well catered for.

Food was very good and there is always a great choice. Pastries and other sweet things are excellent. Main courses always good and there are always plenty of vegetables, something the Canary Islands could learn from.

Drinks by the pool are served in vending cups, ok for spirits but not so clever, I thought, for beer. However a fellow guest pointed out "they don't last long so they are always cold". Well said that man. Service is pretty quick so no real worries.

Free bus from the hotel to the beach during the day and to Naama Bay in the evening. You need to book at reception though. Camel bar in Naama Bay is worth a visit, it has a roof terrace bar with nice views and good beer at very reasonable prices.

The St George is not situated in a pretty area, but neither are any of the other hotels really. It is a desert after all.

Value for money? Can’t beat it. Will I go back? Oh yes.

We returned from our holiday in Sharm el Sheik several weeks ago and had a thoroughly enjoyable time. It was just my girlfriend and I, both in our twenties, and we went over the Christmas and New Year period.

The hotel itself was extremely clean, including the restaurant. The staff went beyond friendly and you could tell that they genuinely did want to help, and for you to have a good time.

Even in December and early January the temperature was around the 27 degree mark, hence ideal for getting away in the middle of winter. We're not ones for lying by the pool so I would urge you to make the most of your holiday and see your rep as a whole number of excursions can be organised from the hotel. Over the period of 11 days we went scuba diving, to Cairo by plane, Cleo Park, the hotel beach, on the camels to see the Bedouin folk, star gazing, quad biking, to Naama bay, the old market, the mosque and so on.

I feel I have to defend them against a few points made. We spent a great many nights around the quiet bar talking to a young chap called Emad and as such got an honest view in to how things work in Sharm. The reason you don't see any female maids is that 99% of the Sharm populous is male since it is predominately a tourist resort, and as such families can’t generally afford the cost of living. The men tend to work in Sharm and send money back to their families who usually live in cheaper Cairo. The staff typically work 5 weeks, live in the complex and are then given a week to go home and visit their families. With regards to tipping, all money has to be put in to a shared collection that is then distributed amongst the entire staff, including management so there is NEVER any pressure to tip. The staff are nice because they want to be nice and not because they're after your money.

When you leave the confines of the hotel do be aware that the 'real' Egypt is quite different to what we're used to here. In Naama bay don't ever go in to a shop unless you know what you want and you know how to haggle and don't be afraid to be rude as showing weakness will surely result in you buying something. Same in Cairo; we saw countless brits agreeing for an Egyptian in full dress by the pyramids who offered to pose in their photo only to be surprised when he demanded money. The hotel is absolutely spot on but keep your wits about you outside.

It is worthwhile asking where in the hotel you're going to be situated when you book as approximately a quarter of the rooms are on a main road. We got put in one of these rooms the first night and asked to be moved the following morning. We swapped with a brit couple we'd got speaking to the night before who were leaving the next morning; our new room was right next to the smaller, quiet pool in an absolutely perfect setting. During our holiday we heard a fair few people who managed to get moved so at quiet times of the year I don’t think moving would ever be a problem although I would have surely given this hotel a worse mark if we had stayed by the main road.

Do make an effort to speak and joke with the staff; they really are fantastic and by talking to them you will learn a lot more about their culture and backgrounds. I couldn't stand drunken British who basically treated them as slaves who could be shouted at and threatened. Remember that it is you in their country, and not vice versa.

We never had any problems with food as the restaurant was absolutely spot on but the selection did get a little boring towards the end. It would have been nice to see more authentic Egyptian dishes but since the majority of the visitors only seemed to want burgers and chips every day I'd imagine that offering this would have been wasted. You can see in to the kitchen from the restaurant and it is clear that standards are being maintained. As for the woman who gave this hotel 1/10 because “there was nothing for her son to eat so she had to make up a list of things he liked so they could make it specially for her” is ridiculous. There was plenty to eat, even for fussy kids who have been bought up by their parents on a diet of chips, ketchup, and salt and hydrogenated fat.

The hotel erected a huge tent for Christmas and New Year with both events being fantastic. There was a separate building that constituted the desert section that would fit approximately 60 people in at any given time and this was outstanding. For New Year all inclusive ends at midnight however one of the bar staff sneakily gave us a dozen or so drinks at 23:55 which kept us going until the early hours. The local beer is nice, crisp, and very drinkable but we weren't as keen on the wines; it certainly wouldn't give a good Chateuxneuf a run for its money.

I would advise those looking to Scuba dive possibly look elsewhere as the company who have a shop in the foyer (SSX) are pretty hopeless and apparently the hotel manager is looking to possibly boot them out.

Get your Egyptian Pounds out there.... We discovered the exchange rate in the hotel bank (branch of the bank of Egypt) much more preferable than we were offered back home.

The Chez Pascal restaurant (not all inclusive) is certainly worth a visit and is quite reasonably priced although a little quiet.

Travelling out and about we did see inside many other hotels in Sharm and never once did we regret staying in St Georges. I would dispute any bad review about this hotel, as they clearly weren’t staying at the same hotel we were. We probably wouldn’t go back but this is only down to the fact that we have now already been there so it’s time to try somewhere different. I’m sure that you won’t be disappointed by this hotel and hope that you have a fantastic stay.

Great time was had by myself,...

Great time was had by myself, husband, & two children 11yrs & 14yrs.This was our first trip to Egypt and I was a bit worried after reading the mixed reviews. I had no need to worry.

This is a wonderful friendly Hotel - They are always cleaning - spotless.

The Restaurant was clean and had a good variety of food. It certainly suited everyone needs. My kids ate loads with no complaints.

The Pools were fine - always being checked on and cleaned well every evening. The sunbed: you have to get up to collect your towels from the towel man between 7.30 and 8.30am to guarantee your preferred sunbed, especially if you want a group of sunbeds together. Around the Pool the Sun goes by 4.15pm.

The weather ranges from 68degees to 80degrees, sometimes with a brisk wind. Nightime temp is 57degrees to 64degrees - you will need a jumper outside the Hotel.

The Beach is only less than 10 mins away by regular Shuttle bus. First Bus is 9.30am and last Bus back is 4.30pm.It will be dark by around 5.00pm.I was very impressed with the Beach, clean, tidy, plenty of Sunbeds and the Restaurant is open from 12.00 noon until 3.00pm with freshly cooked food... Lots of friendly cats around if you like them.

Pay a trip to the Old Market it will be an experience you won't forget. Make sure you go into Naama Bay. This is where it all happens. Hard Rock Cafe, Pizza Hut, KFC, and TGI etc.

The only complaint we had while we were on Holiday was the inconsiderate Brits (I am embarrassed to be a Brit) coming in at all hours - between 1.00am and 3.30am.Banging Doors, Running up and down the corridors, Shouting, laughing, screaming and generally chatting outside our door - we weren't amused!!

The only advise for anyone staying at this Hotel is to keep your hygiene to high standard, i.e. wash hands, use hand gel - dispenser is situated outside the main Restaurant (not many people used it) we also used wipes after handling money. We didn't have any Tummy problems, but some people did.

Mosquito's are a pain - if you are bitten go and see George in his shop outside the main entrance doors. He will put some ointment on your bites free of charge; He has many other ointments that can help skin problems and minor Tummy problems etc. Go and see him he is a great guy, just to have a chat with (no pressure to buy).We miss you George!

The Management and Staff should be proud of themselves - this is great hotel if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of things, but only a ten mins away from the main parts i.e. Naama Bay etc.

Thanks Three Corners - I've now got The Holiday Blues!

My family first travelled to this hotel in March 2007 and found it so enjoyable that we returned again in May.

This is a lovely hotel, not too big and very personal. The staff are very pleasant and helpful.

There is a mini bus every hour to bring you to the beach. At the beach there is a lovely outdoor restaurant and the food is lovely although basic.

The all inclusive package is recommended as not a huge selections in Naama bay and one has to be careful where you eat. The hotel provides a kiddies club and also there is some evening entertainment and for those thinking they might miss the footie they also show football on a big screen!

There are two large swimming pools and also a small playground for the kids. And if interested in learning to dive, lessons are available through the hotel.

We booked a trip to Cairo with the locals rather than through the rep (prices way too high) and we had a fantastic day. We flew up to the city early morning (4am) and visited the museum which is just amazing even for children, in the afternoon we went to see the pyramids. It really is a beautiful sight although be warned do not take valuables as easy to disappear.

All in all fantastic hotel and holiday.

I believe in telling it like it is. So here goes -

Hotel - Fairly clean and tidy, not a four star in my opinion, more like a 3 star!

Staff - Will do anything for you, so long as you are tipping them well. They are friendly and love kids, but they did get on my nerves towards the end of the holiday.

Rooms - Beds are comfy, bathroom was a bit scruffy, the shower area looked grubby and the shower head had a mind of it's own. Premiership football on the TV free of charge. Rooms cleaned daily, but the room maid... who are all male, expect tips, they introduce themselves to you as soon as they see you, they are on first name terms with you, but that's just so you will cough up a good tip.

Food - Excellent choice no matter what your taste is, but I was sick of eating the same stuff by the end of the holiday. Beer is the local Sakara, you need about 5 gallons to be able to tell you have drunk it. Spirits are made from diesel and taste like high octane fuel. If you don't eat anything from your plate for about 3 seconds your plate will be taken by the waiters, same goes for your drinks glass. The pool bar looks like it has been open for about 20 years not 2!

The shop keepers in Naama Bay and Old Sharm are complete retards, if they let you shop they would sell far more, but they insist on physically dragging you in the shop and forcing you to buy some tat!

Weather, was hot and we got a nice tan.

Would I go again??? No... but only because I have already been! Oh and remember you are in a predominantly Muslim country, so beer is sometimes hard to find.
