I found that there was nothing to do at this hotel. There was no sports facilities available (e.g. badminton/tennis) at the hotel, and if you wanted to play on the pool table it cost £4 per hour. There was an abundance of playing cards available in the lobby bar, the only one which is open after dark. Drinks are not all inclusive after midnight.
This hotel is probably the noisiest we ever stayed at, okay if you are into partying, but not if you want to wake up early for a 5am excursion. They obtained a sound system the week we were there which was VERY loud. The sound system was outside, and since the hotel shape was three corners, the acoustics were fantastic and the noise travelled. Not great if you wanted to sleep before midnight. The hotel staff mopped the hall floors in the early hours of the morning, which was also noisy given the acoustics of the hotel. One side of the hotel was on a busy motorway, which you could get used to, but the beeping of the Egyptian drivers is hard to get used to.
The reef at the beach is quite good, and snorkelling equipment is quite cheap to buy over there. There was rarely room on the mini buses that went to the beach, so line up for a bus early when you want to return to the hotel.
A final point -make sure you take some proof that you have paid for transfers, as they wont take your word for it. Photocopy your invoice if necessary, as they will take it off you as proof that you have paid. The transfers are only £4 per person each way if you pay on the day, which I think is cheaper than what the travel agent quoted.

I would have rated this Holiday a 10, but for one thing: Although the staff work extremely hard, there is no excuse for rinsing glasses under the dirty taps and using dirty bar cloths to dry them (when they are very busy and have run out of glasses at the bar).
I also witnessed a certain member of staff putting ice in the drinks by hand instead of using the scoop. I am certain it was the reason why so many people had bad stomach’s during our 2 weeks stay. (and I mean lots of people). There is no proper entertainment area and the main bar is in the lobby of the hotel. The entertainers did try, but had only got a portable CD player which they carried to various parts of the hotel during the day. There is no stage, or sound system, and they don’t even have a microphone. But they are charming and enthusiastic.
One more criticism: We weren’t told by Cosmos, That the hotel wasn’t fully open, So although they said we had an internet cafe, a shopping mall, a theatre, 3 restaurants and a gym, the only thing off this list we got, was 1 restaurant. The rest were still being built or fitted out. (not that you noticed too much-as the builders were usually discreet and quiet).
The Hotel.
The hotel had been open only 1 week when we arrived. (Cosmos told us it opened last Nov). But it is very clean, very nicely laid out, and the rooms are enormous. Ours had a king sized bed, A single that was more a 3 quarter, and a large sofa that could be used as a bed too. We got free TV which had a 24 hour movie channel in English and a free safe (1st time ever). There was a big bathroom with a very big walk in shower (no bath). And the rooms had climate control.
The pools were excellent:-
We were overlooking the main pool which is kidney shaped and has an adjoining kids pool. It also has a bar that u can swim up too and get a drink. Temperature wise, be warned... If you get out of the pool, even when the temperature is 80 degrees, it feels dam cold. This is because the pool is the warmest pool I have ever known, almost like a warm bath.
I didn’t use the second pool, but it is the same layout, except instead of a pool bar, it had a bridge over to a Jacuzzi in the middle. and the bar was at the far end on poolside.
It also had a separate paddling pool for the kids. and a park close by.
We also got clean towels for the cushioned sunloungers whenever we needed them (at the pool or the beach). The towel man also cleaned all the sunloungers every morning before they were occupied and the pool area was also kept very clean. The bar staff are very good at the pool.
Restaurant:
The restaurant was the best I have been to abroad. There was a good selection every day and was always hot.
There is no bacon etc.... But they make great omelettes to order in the mornings, or fried eggs, and there was plenty of other things to choose from. The restaurant staff are 1st class.
The Beach:
There is a courtesy bus to and from the beach every hour until sundown. The beach is exclusive to the three corners hotel's, and the facilities there are amazing, we got a bar, a restaurant that made excellent cheese burgers etc... toilets and a shop. and free sunbeds. There are also beach huts that the guests can use if they fancy a night at the beach. (they had the same beds showers etc... as the hotel rooms).
The beach was also all inclusive, so the only charge there, was if you or
ordered off the pizza menu, or if you got a massage off the permanently based masseuse. (£20 for 1 hour). There is also a diving and snorkelling centre at the beach.
The beach has its own pontoon (floating pier) that’s takes you out beyond the coral, and the snorkelling is just out of this world. The only pitfall to going to the beach is the 5 min journey, The driver puts on his Egyptian tape and blasts it through the speakers, he often dances at the wheel taking his hands off, and the drivers in Sharm are absolutely crazy, often cutting up and changing lanes without looking. We saw at least 4 crashes during our stay. There don’t seem to be any effort to stick to the speed limits.
Naama Bay
This area is like a mini Blackpool at night, except every time you pass a shop, someone is trying to get you in it. For the 1st few days this was quite harrowing, but after that it became more part of the charm of shopping, especially as the shop owners were always nice to you, even when you ignored them or fobbed them off. Women alone, or in pairs got a lot more hassle. We went in the Tavern to watch English footy, (but no sound). And they charged £15 for 4 vodka's, so if you go in there, only drink Sakara Gold (lager), its the cheapest at £1.80 a bottle.
The camel bar was cheaper, and also had football. And a very nice rooftop terrace.
Shopping:
You have to haggle for everything, If they start at 60 Egyptian pounds, you pay aprrox 20, (which is £2). and if they say they have a free gift for you, walk away, cause they will talk you into buying something you don’t want. The best shopping area in the old town, less hassle than Naama Bay.
If you are going to risk bringing back cigs, get them from the Egyptian airport duty free shop, they are approx £6 for 200 Bensons. You wont find Lamberts anywhere.
Taxi's
If you go for a walk, you will get every single taxi that passes, either stopping to see if you want a lift or beeping, a simple wave usually is enough to move them on. If you do get a taxi, the average fair is approx 25 Egyptian pounds (£2.50). You have to haggle them down to this.
I would like to say that all in all, we had a great stay at St George, especially in the company of Lyn, Donna, Ron & Sheila, who turned out to be very good company and great friends.
The hotel is going to be 1st class when all the facilities are available, and I wouldn’t hesitate to go there again.
Although families might struggle to keep their kids occupied, It is not Spain, and there are not half a dozen Karaoke bars round every corner. St George is a little isolated.
The Egyptian people are very friendly and the red sea is a divers paradise.

The hotel had only been open for 4 days when we got there, so on that note there were a few things that needed tweaking as you would expect.
But in all I would give it a 10/10 for just about everything.
The staff were fantastic, they really couldn’t do enough for you and when we requested that the pool bar be open until later than 5 pm, the Guest Relations person saw to it that it was done. The only gripe I would have about the staff was one of the big wigs (well I think she was) It wouldn’t hurt her to acknowledge the guests instead of swanning around treating the staff like her servants.
The food was very good, although after a week, we went to Nammba bay for a Dirty burger at the Hard Rock cafe, as although there was a lot to choose from, it was much the same every day. If you brits fancy a full English every day then you will be disappointed although they will fry eggs for you if you ask.
The Hotel provided a bus hourly to the private beach. There is a bar, restaurant and shop at the beach the snorkelling is amazing! And in the evening there is a bus to Namma bay, they also provided trips out to the desert etc, but you would need to ask about this as when we were there it wasn’t advertised.
The Rooms were massive and very well presented complete with tinted windows to stop the glare, nets to stop the mozzies and air con for the summer. They were cleaned thoroughly every day with things like swans and crocodiles made out of the towels left on the beds. (well we did anyway)
Be warned, the bars open at 10am and the lobby closes when the last person is out of the door! If you fancy pulling a nice Egyptian girl, then this is not the place to go as there were only 3/4 women working at the hotel, they were all guys! But never the less they standards never slipped and as far as I’m concerned they all deserve medals not only for the hours that they all put in but for putting up with the guests!
I would without a doubt go back again, it would be nice to see how the resort is has come along in maybe 6months to a year.

The hotel is between The Old Market Town of Sharm and Na'arma Bay. It cost two pounds sterling to get to either by cab. There is a courtesy bus to the beach, where you can get all inclusive meals. I don't mean packed lunches, I mean full meals. They are better than at the hotel.
The food at the hotel is very well presented and a good choice is offered. All in all the food warrants 9/10. The staff at this hotel are extremely helpful and polite. They cannot do enough (10/10)
The rooms are big with individual heating controls which we needed during the cooler Jan evenings. The hotel complex itself has two pools both with poolside bars. Towels are provided if you present your towel tickets to the attendants in the poolside area. Tickets are given on arrival for each person. Don't lose them or else you will forfeit 20 pounds.
The drinks are very acceptable, despite a few gripes by the odd moaning British holiday-maker. In fact this species was the only down-side to our holiday. I suppose you have to accept loutish behaviour now cheaper holidays are within most peoples' grasp! I aint a snob either!!
The management are actvely seeking their customers' views as it's a new complex. Families will enjoy this place. I enjoyed it with my wife. It could be better positioned, as I said you need transport to go anywhere albeit the hotel beach bus runs every hour and is free.
One thing to point out though is that 4 star is not the same 4 star system used by the AA here. All in all a great time in a lovely hotel with lovely polite staff and fantastic weather.

We stayed in Feb 2006 this was a first time at a three corners but have stayed at all-inclusive in Egypt a couple of times before.
Have listed my points in a simple list.
1. Layout good - We liked the hotel layout, it was low level and the two separate pool areas worked well. I do agree however that if you were on the side where the restaurant and main pool is that could be noisy
2. Needs a deep clean - The place had only been open a few months but some areas are already starting to show were cleaning is being missed
3. Washing up no soap - All bars were not properly washing glasses rather just rinsing them under the cold water tap. This is not acceptable and in my mind represents a health hazard.
4. No insect spray - We went in feb and the flies were in constant attendance, by mid and high season it will be unbearable. These could have been reduced by regular spraying like other hotels do. Also washing down outside surfaces with more than cold water and cleaning using hot water and soap.
5. Food not covered - The main restaurant left fresh salads and deserts on display in the middle of the room. As they were not covered flies were crawling all over the food. This too is unacceptable. We did not touch any of the fresh food for this reason.
6. Food quality bad - Freshly cooked food such as the omelette bar and fresh pasta was quite good. The food held in the self serve was not in my mind up to scratch. It was either undercooked, soggy or swimming in grease.
7. Measures small but regular - Some initial complaints about the size of the measures but on balance smaller did work, less waste. However when the bar was busy larger drinks would have reduced the round number of round trips.
8. Paint peeling off pool - For a new hotel was very surprised to see paint peeling off in the pool. Think this is a sign of bad build and we did see signs of a rush job on other areas. Doors with wobbly handles, kick plates on doors held in with nails hanging out of the door. Cracked double glazing in the lobby.
9. Slope on pool - The smaller pool on the quieter side of the hotel had a slopped shallow end. This however was very slippery. I and many others fell in the pool and front desk was advised. Nothing was done to warn other users of the pool of this danger, a simple sign would have been a start.
10. Front of house attitude poor and helpfulness bad - Simple requests/enquiries seemed to be at best a challenge to the staff at the front desk. Requests for help changing currency were hit and miss. I had to go to the shop round the corner for this. Complaints were not handled very professionally unless you managed to get a member of management involved. At this stage you could 'get things done'
11. Waiters and cleaners good but not outstanding (with exceptions) - No complaints on the waiters and general staff, however some staff very good and helpful
12. Laundry service not on time or dry - We had a particular problem with the laundry. Took two days to get items back and when they did come back they were not dry and not on hangers. Ended up drying and ironing ourselves. We did not get charged for this as raised it as in issue at the time.
13. Location of room misled - On booking was told that room had either mountain or pool view. We like many others got a view of the main road outside instead. If we had brought our binoculars we may have seen mountains.
14. Smoking and non smoking area good - Bar and restaurant areas had smoking and non smoking areas this was good
15. Hotel wasn't finished - Was advised by agent that hotel would e finished. However shopping area was still under construction and one of the pools was still being tiled. Noise from work tended to be in the morning from 8 am onwards so if you were near the work you got woken up every single morning.
16. Supervisor’s attitude - The main staff were different colour uniforms to the supervisors. On most occasions the supervisors would stand or sit around watching the staff. This maybe their job however at peak times this attitude meant that people waiting for drinks/service had to wait for the main staff to get round to them while the supervisor would stand around doing nothing. At times you felt like naughty school children with a teacher standing over you.
17. Pool man very helpful - Staff responsible for the pool area where very good and helpful
18. Beach club good - Is a short bus ride or walk away. It was well laid out and it had a bar/restaurant/massage area
19. Free bus service - To both the beach and Naama bay good
20. Room sizes - Were very generous and TV not bad
21. Water coolers - Were everywhere and was good to have them around rather than having to ask for water all the time.
Summary.
To sum up would say that St George was not 4 star, more of a 3. Maybe when they finish the hotel things will improve but were not advised that hotel was not 100% finished and feel misled by the 3 corners web site and agent.
We still had a good holiday but am afraid would not use 3 corners again.
