Hotel Marte

We have just arrived home from a weeks stay at the Hotel Marte/Jupiter/Saturno complex in Alcudia. After reading the somewhat negative reviews on the internet I was a little worried to say the least, but on arrival we were pleasantly surprised, the hotel was clean and tidy, the staff were polite and friendly, there was food on tap from morning to night with choice to suit every taste, there was numerous activities to partake in and the evening entertainment was pretty good too with two acts/shows per evening. The staff were lovely and the other reviews that say otherwise were probably due to a response from their bad manners in the first place, the staff work very hard keeping the place clean and tidy after the vast ammount of guests and dont often get a word of praise from some of the rude guests staying there. There is a bus daily to the beach every half an hour, but a stroll only takes about 15 minutes, there is also a bus every half an hour in the evening to the port which is lovely with many restaurants and shops. There are a couple of things that could be improved, one of which being the room sizes, we were a family of four and the room just about had two double beds in it and a built in wardrobe but there was not much room for anything else, also the sunbeds were not reclining, just in one lie down position with no soft bed to lie on and no parasols, there were a few big shaded areas, but you had to get up early to get there. Apart from these things we had a great time, and would return.
