My husband and I booked this holiday for our honeymoon, all inclusive. We weren't expecting miracles for the price we paid (£450 all in) and have to say it wasn't as bad as some of the reviews make out! Yes the guy on reception wasn't the most helpfull, but as he was the... more

After over 40 years of travelling this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed. The only thing half good was the room and the fact that it was clean. On arrival we had to wait over half an hour before the (German loving) reception man appeared. He was basically a very rude... more

We visited in April 2011 and I was very worried after reading the reviews but things were that bad. The hotel badly needs an update and the staff could be alot friendlier but we paid £150 for a week all inclusive and you get what you pay for. Food was pretty much the same... more

I think not! To be perfectly honest I wouldn't even think the homeless would step one foot into the door of this place! Actually! SCRATCH THAT! They wouldn't even look at the place. I went on a family holiday or somewhat how you could call a family holiday. With the mother,... more

Definately a 2 Star Hotel
Booking a quick cheap Holiday to Majorca we plumped for the Bona Vista Hotel ( an annexe of the Playa Blanca Hotel). Cost of flight and hotel a very reasonable £250 (Beware though the shuttle from the airport to the hotel was £18 each and even had to pay £18 each for the baggage, good old EasyJet!). Arrived at the Bona Vista about 9.00 p.m. to find it all in darkness, the keys were to be picked up from the adjacent Playa Blanca Hotel. Confusion at the hotel reception (no english spoken by the receptionist) but eventually told we would be staying there as the Bona Vista had not been re-commissioned for the season! Hotel is clean and modern with mostly German holiday-makers staying there. This was shown by the selection of food, doughnuts for breakfast and shnitzel for dinner. Seriously the food was't bad, but it was rather dissapointing. The cooked breakfast consisted of really fatty bacon and rubberised fried eggs, or continental, cheese, ham etc. The bread was excellent! The evening meal consisted of a quite adequate salad bar, but the cooked food was questionable, mostly shnitzel or fish and fries, the mixed vegetables were cooked to a mush! Deserts were varied, plenty of ice cream and fresh fruit. The drinks were not over-priced as in some hotels and the service was pleasant. The pool was nice as was the bar and dining room, it is also conveniently located 2 minutes from the beach and seafront bars and restaurants. All in all the hotel was satisfactory as long as you only expect 2 star food. We celebrated our last night with a paella in one of the seafront restaurants, very nice, but not cheap due to the euro exchange rate. Don't even bother with the Bona Vista!
