This was a lovely family run hotel, with extremely friendly staff who could not do enough for you.
The room was basic but extremely clean with plenty clean linen and towels every other day, also towels provided for the pool.
The food was excellent and very reasonably priced.
Taxi's available right outside hotel gates.
Would definitely recommend and are hoping to return in the very near future.
Torch is recommended when returning from the Baga Road as very dark.

We had a fantastic stay in this hotel. The staff were all so friendly and just couldn't do enough to help. Rooms are all basic but very comfortable and cleaned daily with fresh linen and towels every other day. Towels are also provided down by the pool for your convenience.
We moved to another hotel for our second week which had a higher rating but returned to the Riverside Regency as it had a much more personal feel. Would definitely recommend it to anyone, we are even planning to return within the next few months!

Well situated, away from noise but only 10 mins walk away from Beach, restaurant and bars.
We were happy to walk, but you might wish to consider taxi at night due to darkness and uneven track, taxis are usually available outside hotel, cost 30-50 rupees (50-75p). Rooms are large and clean, basic but comfortable. Excellent staff, friendly and efficient without being over familiar. Nice pool, good well priced menu, with food available all day. regular change of sheets and towels with free towels supplied for pool.
Proprietor lives next door and is usually available for a chat and advice. Don't be afraid to use local buses, great fun and very cheap (4 rupees to Calangute) Approx 78 rupees to £. Plenty of places to eat, Beach shacks offer excellent food at very low prices, our favourites were Oceanic and Brittos. Use Tourist Taxis, avoid tuk-tuks, we saw one overturn and almost end up in river!

Me and my wife have just returned from the riverside regency, it was of excellent service the staff were very good and also the rooms were kept very clean. The pool was also very good, and the management were very helpful i would recommend this hotel to all for the friendly feeling it gives to us.
We would certainly visit again, just for the record you can get a beer for 18 rupees (kings) and a tuck, tuck for 50 rupees to Calangute. Also we used a taxi driver for a lot of the time we were there called Kundan he was excellent and we would recommend him, he stand's near the smile dentist in Calangute.
A must is to visit infantaria rest/ bakery it is great food i.e. Full tandoori chicken for around 170 rupees and you get a free 650 ml fosters it works out at £2.50. Not bad when you think a pint of fosters cost you in the u.k about £2.40. So don’t think twice about going to this hotel and give it a try you wont be let down we will be back very soon.
