A lovely peaceful hotel and beach [in June anyway] where you can really relax. Rooms basic but clean and fairly comfortable beds. I would recommend taking a travel kettle if you want tea or coffee otherwise you will have to pay for breakfast[not brilliant!] or wait till pool bar opens at 9am.
Pool not huge but clean as is the area around the pool. The bar serves a small variety of decent food.
There is a short walk to the narrow but pretty beach where the sea is shallow for quite a way. There are several tavernas which serve rustic Greek food which is good and not expensive but the menus are all similar. Try Gekos taverna near the Mediterranean Hotel if you want something a bit more.
You can walk on the beach to Skala Prinos in an hour which is slightly busier but the beaches aren't as nice.
A near by bus stop is convenient to get into Thassos Town for only 1 euro 20; a taxi is 10 euros one way. I wish we had hired a car for a day or two as there are many places we didn't visit, maybe next time.
Don't holiday here if you want English bars, discos and McDonalds. I hope the Island doesn't change.

Hotel Coral was a friendly & pleasant hotel to stay & we were made to feel very welcome in our 2 weeks spent there.
The pool is great to cool off on a hot day & the pool bar is a relaxed place to sit & enjoy company.
We were surprised however just how quiet the resort actually was & talking to a few other couples we met we weren’t alone, with nothing much around the hotel & with only a couple of tavernas to choose from at night.
Also the walk back to the hotel at night was very dark with little or in some places no lighting.
We used the bus & taxi services daily into Thasos town which had a lot more to offer as a resort. We also hired a car for a few days which we would recommend for anyone staying in the area, where we visited Golden beach which we found was a much nicer beach than Rachoni's.
If you are looking for a completely relaxed & quiet holiday this would be perfect but if you prefer some nightlife or a busier resort Thassos town or Golden beach would be much more suitable.
