Stayed here for 5-days with family
Neat & clean well maintained place. Independent service flat of 1 BHK.
Hotel staff being very kind. Do check the rates of services like renting a bike/car or taxi outside also before hiring any thing from reception or hotel staff.
Food & service is excellent except the breakfast for which I advise u to go in 1st hour in the morning.
5 min drive from famous beaches of Goa. Candolim beach is 200 mtr from rear gate of the hotel and a nice place to sit in the evenings.
Do contact me at rr93259@indiatimes.com if u want me to advise more on this place or on Goa.

  • Advice: Not worth for swimming but a good place to sit and enjoy sun set
  • Good For: Beach
  • Good For: City Breaks

Fantastic Goa

Jan 2009, newquay

This is a really nice place to stay. The Staff are excellent and cannot do enough for you. We intended to eat out most nights but because the food and atmosphere here was so good, we only managed it twice in the fortnight.
Great beaches. Get a cab to Valsao beach south of Pajim. Takes about an hour but well worth it. cab fare for the return trip was Rps 1,100. You could probably have got it a bit cheaper.Vagator Beach goimg north is also a good bet.Very attractive complex. Rooms are basic but clean. Recommended.

On arrival at the Aldeia Santa Rita...
9 / 10
Jan 2008, Mrs R Scott

On arrival at the Aldeia Santa Rita Hotel we were greeted by the staff who took our cases immediately to check in and served us with a welcome drink as we waited, once we had checked in they took our cases straight to our rooms. The rooms were basic but comfortable, the cleaning lad came in everyday to change the towels and cleaned the room, bed linen was changed every other day.
The food was of a good standard, Al a carte menu every other night , Kebab and Curry night on a Wednesday, Sizzler night on a Friday and on a Sunday they take all the sun beds from around the pool and place all the dining tables around it for Gala Buffet.
The staff here made the holiday they are so friendly and really can not do enough for you! The head waiter Orlando likes to take over the entertainment at night by getting hold of the microphone at any opportunity to sing the Green Green Grass Of Home !! What a guy !!
The beach near the hotel was very nice, but you must prepare your selfs to see the cows wondering on the beech and also on the local road but they were no problem !
We thoroughly enjoyed this holiday and cant wait to return! If we had not already booked to go to Tenerife in 2008 we would defiantly go back this year! So all i can say is roll on December 2009
Thankyou to everyone at Aldeia Santa Rita

We have been to this resort twice now...

Jan 2008, Mrs C Staff

We have been to this resort twice now as we were so impressed with the fantastic service that we received from the staff. Everyone is so friendly and intent on looking after you throughout your stay.
We found the rooms to be kept clean and were provided with plenty of clean towels and clean sheets. Our room cleaner last year was exceptional and excelled at artistically arranging our towels so beautifully that it was a shame to disarrange them!
The food in the hotel is good that we have not eaten out of the hotel very much with the exception of eating giant prawns on the beach as the sun goes down! (Recommend Angela's beach shack). This is a good place to relax, have a massage and read a few books, go bird watching.
There are plenty of things to do in the area. We enjoyed getting ourselves to most of the attractions in the area by a variety of transport which includes the local bus, ferry and local taxi drivers who are very helpful; they are a mine of information and will take you to wherever you want to go.
Drinks are generously provided, the barman Francis will look after you. Recommend fresh lime and soda. Have just been looking on this site as we are looking forward to our next visit at the end of February 08, can't wait so Francis get the lime and soda ready!

Not five star or luxurious, just a...

Mar 2007, Mrs C Fuller

Not five star or luxurious, just a wonderful family holiday in a small resort hotel run by a local chain.
Rooms at the Aldeia Santa Rita are simple, clean and comfortable, and have a separate sitting room with kitchenette off containing a fridge full of regularly-replenished drinks, then through to the bedroom with double bed (changed like clockwork every other day), ceiling fan and air-con unit. There is a wardrobe and telephone and each room has an en-suite shower room with wc and loads of towels, changed daily.
The price of this holiday was so reasonable that it would have been no hardship to have passed on the hotel's food and gone out to eat but as it happened the food was excellent. Breakfast options included fruit, fresh juice, eggs done any way you like, bacon, fried tomatoes and toast, or Goan specialties.
Lunch is buffet-style but not all cold food, and the evening meal had a rotating theme each night, including a la carte evenings- all drinks included. The waiting staff are fabulous and can't do enough to make your stay pleasant.
The beach at Candolim is long and palm-fringed and you can easily avoid any hawkers by using the sun beds at one of the many beach shacks.

Found these apartments to be beyond...
5 / 10
Apr 2006, Mrs C Childs

Found these apartments to be beyond basic. Bed linen and towels were badly stained. The only storage was a two foot wide wardrobe, no drawers or dressing table. The power in the shower was poor at best and our toilet seat was badly stained (most off putting) and just hanging on.
Lunches and evening meals good but breakfasts were exceptionally bad, orange squash not fresh, awful instant coffee, no yoghurts, pastries or any of the delicious plates of fresh fruit that is normally found in a hotel of a country abundant in fruits.
The hotel staff are great but sadly this did not make up for very sub standard accommodation.

Dec 2005, Mr T N Barrett

This was our 4th visit to the same hotel in Goa - We have sampled many others over the years but we keep returning to this hotel time and time again.
The location , the food and the facilities are all excellent value for money - but what’s makes it sooooo irresistible is the smile on the faces of the staff - from the boys to the managers, they all work hard and cant do enough to make your time enjoyable whilst you are in their care. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

Found this hotel to be of good value...

Nov 2005, Mr W Maw

Found this hotel to be of good value for the money we paid,
The apartments are very basic but clean, the food was excellent, the pool area is small but in a very nice setting.
The hotel is near the beach. We travelled by taxi around goa and found them to be very cheap, also the people are very friendly. Take some candles with you as the electricity supply is likely to go off, as you are getting ready to go out.
Candolin is a rather busy road the main traffic being cows which are free to roam in the daytime.
