We had a great time!
from cjNorway
We stayed in the Magnum for two weeks and had a wonderful time. The staff is really friendly, helpful, kind and relaxed and they took good care of us. The food is lovely, we ended up having quite a few meals in the hotel and we miss the tandori! Our first impression of the rooms was not the best, but that´s probably because we didn´t know what to expect. After five minutes we forgot all about it and enjoyed our holiday. The massage center offers excellent treatments and is highly recommended! Christian and Trine, Norway
love the magnum!

we have stayed at the magnum hotel twice and as we are going to goa again for new year we tried to book again but we were unlucky this time. the hotel is quite small with very friendly staff, from the manager down to the cleaning staff. the breakfast isn't really anything to rave about but the bbq nights are always good with great food and a live band. it is situated well with bars and shops all around, i would recommend ashoka jewellers next door to the hotel, we have bought some very good diamonds from them and they can be trusted, no...

Loved it at Magnums

Me and my partner went in the the middle of march, and we had the most warmest welcome at Magnums since landing in Goa. The hotel manager, made us feel right at home, and we were treated very nicely. We were very happy with the politeness of the hotel staff, and the cleanliness of the room, which they done at least twice a day. We would not hesitate to go there again, which we will be doing next year..

It was our first time in Goa, and there is no doubt about it, we are coming back. The staff were relaxed about all of our children (5). The service were fine, we had an emergency with one of the children, and had to go to the hospital. the staff drove us there, and stayed there. And 3 days later they drove us back for a check-up. The hotel was perfeckt for familys whit children, and for people who dont like the staff "hanging over the shoulder" all day long. We got good advise about where to go and what to se, whitout a...

The Best Time of our lives!

This being our forth stay at Magnum was fantastic Shane,Marlane,Sarah Neil and kids will be delighted to return 2007 (feb). The whole set-up is catered for all comers old, young, rich or poor.A little rough round the edges, but also clean and a feeling of trustworthy staff and residents also. John, the Manager will always point you in the right direction (and his staff are most considerate in help of all aspects to make the best of your budget).Being it a two day trip to Bombay or the hire of a scooter- a great way to zip...

If you know what to expect, its absolutely fine!!!

We stayed in the Magnum Resort in Candolim in December 2005. We got a last minute deal paying £269 for 1 week B&B flying from Manchester. Maybe not a great deal but we were happy with it. Only problem so far is to say that 1 week is nowhere long enough, but thats all we had and for our first trip to India it was ok. The flight was very long, about 7 hours from Man to Bharain and then about 3 from Bharain to Candolim. The break inbetween was nice though to stretch our legs. The Monarch plane was a bit rubbish, no individual tv...

friendly staff - good food
from A TripAdvisor Member
We had been to Goa before so we knew what to expect re the standard of rooms of 2/3 star hotels - worn sheets & towels, strange red fridges very basic furniture etc. There are rooms at the front of the hotel they are 'standard rooms' quite large but due to them being at the front of the hotel - main road- they are very noisey, car horns beeping and wagons passing by. If you can afford the extra I would go for the 'superior' rooms which are around the pool - you may get a bit of music noise from the restaurant/bar but it shuts down by...

the Magnum we will not return
from lesrobinson
we stayed in the magnum in feb 05 the state of the hotel is what you would expect in India, The staff were good in general, but the changing of towels and sheets was a stuggle. Every other day we had to request they were changed at least thre time over a period of hours. There are not enough safety deposit boxes and we had to wait from sunday to thursday evening to get one. This of course invalidates your insurance, should anything be stolen etc. the managers solution was put it under your matress. We are returning to Candolim in Feb 06 but...

Being a woman travelling alone and reading reviews I was quite apprehensive about the Magnum, however I needn’t have been, it was lovely. Ok the room was basic, I was given the choice of two, one being a suite and the other just a room. I chose the room. The sheets were... more
