" Best Holiday Ever!! "
Submitted By: meg05We had been reading the reviews of our hotel and we where dreading what we were going to arrive at, all the reviews were shocking... Welll..... unless they took us to the wrong hotel doooo NOT belive anything bad that is said about this place!! ITS BEAUTIFULL!!
The food was to die for something for every one remeber thou your not in england there was food to cater the whole would not just the british.
The hotel was clean a fabulous reception area , pool wasnt massive but big enough all though a little chilly( and if your ALL IN, The water park is free). Rooms were large and plenty of space plus Amazing Veiws From Balcony of the beach and the staff were soo friendly would help you with anything.
Taurito IS quite ,only 5 hotels in the whole area but you do have the water park few shops and the beach, but on the bus for 1 eruo 20 cent you can get to puerta morgan(Fab market on a friday) , puerto rico and ingles(Amazing night out) .
We booked with thomas cook, they were amazing booked us on lots a day trips and Booze cruises in the next town up from us( playa de ingles a amazing nights out) :)

Submitted By: Dave & NatalieI was pleasantly suprised when arriving at this hotel. The reception staff where very pleasant and the hotel was immaculate!
I have only ever been on all inclusive holidays and in comparison this was one of the best i have ever been on. The room was excellent with a nice full size lounge/kitchen a bedroom, bathroom and a double balcony (with Sea view)
The only down side was the beds, these were twin and not the most comfortable.
The food was excellent. In all the all inclusives i have been on, food is recycled. When catering for that many people it goes without saying that you will have veal one day and then veal casserole the next.
The food was very varied and with me being a fussy eater i managed to find something to eat every day. All of the food tasted good and had flavour which is very unusual for an All Inclusive hotel.
This is a SPANISH island. Their local meat is Veal, Pork and chicken, if you want local english dishes, GO TO ENGLAND!!!
We heard a couple compaining about the food and was shocked. The hotel cater for all nationalities, not just english, so yes there were cooked meats at breakfast (as well as the whole cooked breakfast) as not every country has a full fry up in the morning.
The only downside for us although this wasnt a problem as we didnt go there often, was that you have to pay for your drinks in the entertainment area. You can carry your drinks from the hotel but it was a bit of a walk everytime back to the bar. However we just sat chatting in the bar of an evening so this wasnt an issue for us. But for families it could be a pain.
All in all this hotel was an amazing place and excellent for people looking for a nice relaxing holiday. Beautiful island, and a beatiful setting.
Bus journeys are very cheap (as long as you remember to get off at the right stop!)
Would also recommend the combo tour, which was a dolphin watching boat trip, camel trek and an offroad safari.
This was such a fun day out!!! do not wear your best clothes though!!!
Highly reccommend to anyone!
Advice: Book it and dont read all the negative comments
Activities: No local restaurants but the hotel food was amazing

Submitted By: Jim KirkmanThe hotel was very clean and rooms spacious. The kids were "next door but one" so the hotel did not quite manage to fulfill our only special request (adjacent rooms) prior to departure.
We found the beds too firm and resented having plastic mattress protectors - we've all passed that stage! One pillow was inadequate too.
There are no drink making facilties in the rooms but there is a fridge and safe which you have to pay a daily charge for. Hair dryers have to be hired from reception.
All rooms 3rd floor and up have pleasant views of the resort and ocean.
The buffet food was not stunning. The meat was generally too "fatty" for us, but we always found something we could eat. It's a shame that the apparent wide choice actually proves so limited to British tastes at least.
If you want to eat out then you wouldn't go all inclusive, but there is nowhere at Taurito. It's a case of either catching the bus into Puerto Rico or Puerto Mogan.
Staff ranged from indifferent to quietly friendly. Day time snacks from the pool bar were OK if uninspiring.
The hotel pool itself is quite small so serious swimmers need to use the lido which was extremely quiet over the school half term week. You can take drinks in from the hotel but it's obviously not as convenient as the hotel pool.
The evening entertainment (shared with other hotels) is open-air and if you want any peace prior to 10.30pm then you need to be in a room furthest away from the noise e.g. on the 4th floor, a lower number than 420.
The main problem for us was the lack of facilities for teenage kids especially in the evening. Our 2 boys were bored.
Overall, the holiday would have been fine for Mum and Dad just wanting to totally chill, but bored kids can be a pain....

Submitted By: badger831It was clean, tidy and modern. It is a lovely resort and only 15 mins on the bus (1 euro 20 cents) to Puerto Rico (or taxi is about 10 euros)
The weather was fab for the time of year and we have boked to return on the 14/12/09 for a week.
The all inclusive and the meals are as you would expect, we found nothing under cooked and there was plenty of selection. Bearing in mind we are a picky party (1 vegeterian and 2 none pork eaters) we found all the food to our satisfaction and there was ample choice. The restaurant was clean, spacious and the staff were very good.
All the rooms are facing the sea and the lido (which is very nice & allows the evening sun nicely!
The only flaw we could find was the evening entertainment (it was ok, but not brill) and the bar staff were miserable!
All in all a lovely hotel, lovely location and we are going back...
Advice: very quiet and the sun is on you all day
Activities: go in to Puerto Rico for anight out
Good for: Beach

The downsides to the holiday were;not being able to get a sunbed by the pool. These all had towells on before 9am and that you could not take food or drink to your room. It would have been nice to sit on balcony enjoying the evening air with a drink. the entertainment had been moved inside for the season and this meant that the bar was very crowded and hot, we usually found a seat in the large reception area and played cards with our drink - so did not get to see any entertainment - we heard the mini disco each evening - they only knew 1 song I think. The trip on the bus to Puerto Mogan is wel worth it, for 2euros 40 you got a return trip in either direction (Puerto Rico in the other direction) buses ran every 10 minutes or so. We briefly visited Puerto Rico because it was too windy to stay by pool, it was horrible, rows of shops with English bars and restaurants. If you like England with sun go there if not stay away. I was worried about the weather as the forecast gave rain, it did rain three days out of 7 and one evening. When it rains it rains heavily- the hotel was slightly flooded. However it cleared up every day by about 10 and we were back around the pool. The worst thing about the holiday was the transfer time, 1hr on way and 1hr30 on way back and the airport at Las Palmas was chaotic, we queued for ages and barely had time for the toilet before boarding. do not rely on visiting duty free. would deffinately go back for winter sun but not for main holiday as I enjoy having somewhere to stroll to in the evening.
Advice: Exactly as described in brochure
