" Alright for couples wanting a relaxing break. "

The people at the Eriva were very hospitable. can't say a bad thing about them. Eriva is about two mins form the beach and about the same from the main street.
Acharavi as a resort doesn't offer much, no entertainment on a night time, food was generally bad although there were a few exceptions such as the pump house.
Thomas cook were rubbish, have traveled with them 3 times now and have got progressively worse. We booked a 1 bed apartment as we have a 16yr old son and ended up with a studio with the beds in one room. The Eriva though offered us another room which they called a one bed but was open plan marginally better.
If you want to go somewhere, be in bed by 9.30pm and do nothing this is the place for you.

Advice: Go to sidari instead

Activities: Pumphouse

Good for: Beach

" Best holiday I have ever had!! "

I have been travelling to Corfu for about 10 years now and for the last 8 I have stayed in the Eriva appts. I wouldnt go anywhere else. The hotel is comfortable and extremely clean. The pool is gorgeous and the location is perfect!! It is 2 mins to the main street on one side and about 1 min to the beach on the other. The town of Acharavi is fabulous!! Not very livley but lovely and relaxing and the are loadz of fab bars and resturants. The Orpehus is fantastic!! Food gorgeous and the owners are fantastic. Jenny, Lakis, Joanna, Paul, Helen and baby Zak are our very good friend and are fab!. Acharavi Park is also very nice.
Back to the hotel. Is is a very pretty hotel, pool is a good size and there is never a fight for a sunbed!! There is a pool table here too. Bar is reasonably priced and they do a good range snacks, all homemade!! The pizzas are delicious!! The rooms are basic but comfortable and are clean. And finally the staff...where to start. The staff are some of the friendliest people I have ever had the luck to meet. They are helpful and will do anything for you. They make time to sit and talk to you and make you feel right at home. Angelica, Spiros, Georgina, Hector, Tula, Dennis, Alex and William ( and for the first few years Sophia, Illias and Kleddis) are just fantastic and have all become great friends and love to see them!!
I will go back to Acharavi and the Eriva year after year and I will never get sick. The resort and the hotel are fantastic and I do not have a bad word to say about any of it.
I love my holidays here and cannot wait to go back!!

Advice: Beautiful place and beautiful people

Activities: Orpehus resturant, roda watersport and skondros resturant on the beach

" Weather Nice. Apartment ? "

Corfu weather gorgeous. The apartment at eriva was dusty and some of the bedding stained.
we arrived at 6am so slept for a couple of hours first. there was a plug socket hanging out of the wall. the lightbulb did not work in the kitchen and neither did the light over the hob work either, as there was not a window in the kitchen (the 3 apartments next door had an extra window) i had to open the door to see to use cooking facillities. These where a laugh the hob would not switch off properly either? My husband complained three times over the next few days, especially about the Safety aspect. The owners tried to fix the hob but the fix only lasted a day. It was on the thursday 3 days later after getting the rep involved that the owners offered to fix the problems. The offending items were sorted and the owners offered us a Better Apartment for an Extra 50 Euros per Week! Very hospitable of them.
Corfu is Very expensive for food when self catering too Beware.
The Pool Bar is expensive too 1 euro 50cent for crisps, choc (2/3rds more than uk prices)
There is a FISCAL rule on the hotel door in the apartment stating that you can not take your own food and drinks to the pool.
The WEATHER Was Great. The people you meet are Nice too. A family pool - Great for kids - our Son loved the pool.
The travel Agent did not tell us that is was out of season so the water park did not open until the day before we came home!

Advice: Try the local Greek food its lovely.

Activities: Corfu Cruise To Corfu Town & The Aquapark - Both A Great Day Out

" Very friendly "

We have just arrived back from the apartments and were very impressed with the whole layout all the staff very friendly and helpful especially the staff at the poolside bar.
We would agree the bins should have been emptied daily it did not spoil our weeks holiday.
The pool area very nice and did not need to "book" a bed although the water was very cold.
We went to a few restaurants in the town and did not have a bad meal. Go to Faros at night time and watch the sunset with a glass of wine perfect! Had a walk to Roda took at least 25 mins but worth it for the restaurants and bars very nice.

Advice: Very quiet resort but the locals very friendly

" eriva "

We stayed at Eriva in June 08.
We asked for a two bedroom apartment and thats what we got. It was more of a bungalow really so we were very pleased.
The apartments were in a good location just minutes from the beach were there are plenty of bars and restaurants. They are reasonable for both food and drink and its easy to walk into Roda.
The owners of the apartments are approachable and always fulfilled our requests no problem.
There are lots of good restuarants on the main strip in achavari which have a good selection of foods.
We would definatley recommend this accommodation. Considering the money we paid it was extremely good value.
The only negative aspect was that the air con was situated in the kitchen which left the bedrooms hot at night. It would be worth taking a couple of fans if you go in peak season.
We booked out trips with a guy on the high street who was much cheaper than the reps. The standard of the tours was excellent.

Advice: very nice and relaxing

Activities: all restuarants in achavari offer good value. its worth going into corfu town and Albania

" Had a great time, rooms as you expect... "

Had a great time, rooms as you expect in greece basic, staff really friendly and helpful. pool and bar good and only 100m walk to a superb pebbly beach, either side is busy with sunbeds outside tavernas/hotels but this bit was empty other than a few people( mainly greeks) sea is shallow for a fair bit.
acharavi resort is good as it is a greek village with tourists ,so you can still get an authentic greek cafe/bar/taverna where the locals go

" we have just come home from a 2 week... "

we have just come home from a 2 week stay at the Eriva apartments. me and my boyfriend who are 25 and 26 and my son who's 3. everything was great the pool/bar area was always clean and the staff really friendly. plenty of sun beds and parasols a nice choice of snacks, drinks and milkshakes served at the bar. It is suitable for all ages

There was entertainment 2/3 times a week quiz karaoke etc and the football was shown on the large tv in the bar area. pool was lovely and a nice size as is was never really over crowded. the onlly concern i had was the small pool area for the younger ones was seperated by a metal gate which one of the bars had come loose and my little boy cut his finger. it was attempted to be repaired but only with plastic tie wraps?! the beach is a 5 min walk straight out of the hotel gates and is a stunning view however the beach itself is mostly pebble.
acharavi main street has plenty of nice tavernas and restaurants to choose from some lovely ones on the beach front and loads of shops, a traditional bakery or 2 coffee shops and newsagents, all just 5 mins from the complex.
Roda is the next nearest town 20 mins walk away along the beach front the beach there is sand.
my only down side were the rooms. they were very basic, which wasn't a problem really as you had a fridge 2 ring hob (only 1 worked) sandwich toaster and a random selection of cuttlery and plates. we had a 2 bedroom apt 1 dbl bed and 2 single.
while we were there our bedding and towels were only changed 3 times, on 1 occasion only our top sheet was changed! the bins were done every couple of days but with the sanitary issues in Greece this needed to be done every other day at least. some people suffered with mozzie bites but to be honest we never had a problem with them, you expect them to be about along with the odd ant and most annoying the wasps!!
overall our holiday was lovely and we would definately consider going again.

" I went to Eriva with my friend in May... "

I went to Eriva with my friend in May 2008.

When we arrived the Manager was very friendly and welecoming. This soon changed though!

As we had early morning flights we had to be out of are room ealry on the monday. We asked the Manager were we could go in the night when the bar closed to which she shook her head and said i dont no. We were lucky though as there was an older couple there who advised us that we were allowed to sit in the reception area so we werent left in the dark when the bar closed and everyone went to bed!

The rooms in Eriva were extreamly basic but as me and my friend are only 22 years old we thought it wouldnt matter as we would be out all the time. We were wrong as there was nothing around in Acharvi we were advised to take the 20 minute walk to Roda and although Roda was better than Archarvi it was still poor. So this holiday is 100% not advised for anyone younger than 50!!

ALso the resturants were very poor as they were snack bars and all served the same thing (cheese and ham toastie, pizza, chips, hot dog, burger)

The beach in Arcahrvi was also very poor. It was a stoney beach although the water was loverly!

I found that most people that enjoyed there stay had been pensioners who had gone back year after year. The rest of the people out there i spoke to this included families and people of ages ranging between 15-45 said they would NOT be going back to Eriva or ARCHARVI.

The only good thing about our holiday was the weather and a couple of other holiday makers we met while we were there also there was 1 nice man in Eriva i think he was the Maintanice he was around 45 maybe but he was very friendly and pleasent

also if you dont like bugs/snakes etc DO NOT GO!! We were bitten by mozzies, there were loads of spiders, flying cockroaches, ants, milapeades, lizards and even a snake. This place is deffo NOT worth going too!!

" We went on the 15th of June and... "

We went on the 15th of June and stayed for 2 w. It was a very basic apartment, but we had a nice big balcony for each twin bedroom. We had a little bathroom, with a shower, a toilet and a sink ( which i accidentally broke. ) and we had 2 twin bedrooms. At the pool bar there were very nice people working and a very nice atmosphere if you wanted to sit out there at night.
The swimming pool was nice and warm. As you may have heard from other people, it was a very clean place and it was only a 2 minute walk from the beach, and a 4 minute walk to bars and restaurants. The sea is nice and warm all year through, and you can go to the tourist information shop to rent a car and book a few lovely, warm, sunny outings.

" Really clean apartments cleaned every... "

Really clean apartments cleaned every day and fresh linen and towels every 2 days. Great location - 5 mins walk to beach and tavernas. Ideal for those wanting a nice, quiet holiday.

There is a pool bar, which has entertainment a few times a week - we didn't tend to use this, as it was nicer to sit overlooking the sea in one of the tavernas. The pool was quite large, and it seemed easy to get sunbeds - the music was pretty load if you were trying to sleep off the night before, though.

Run by a friendly family who were happy to respond to any request. All in all, a great place to stay. Recommended.
