Had a great time, rooms as you expect in greece basic, staff really friendly and helpful. pool and bar good and only 100m walk to a superb pebbly beach, either side is busy with sunbeds outside tavernas/hotels but this bit was empty other than a few people( mainly greeks) sea is shallow for a fair bit.
acharavi resort is good as it is a greek village with tourists ,so you can still get an authentic greek cafe/bar/taverna where the locals go

we have just come home from a 2 week stay at the Eriva apartments. me and my boyfriend who are 25 and 26 and my son who's 3. everything was great the pool/bar area was always clean and the staff really friendly. plenty of sun beds and parasols a nice choice of snacks, drinks and milkshakes served at the bar. It is suitable for all ages
There was entertainment 2/3 times a week quiz karaoke etc and the football was shown on the large tv in the bar area. pool was lovely and a nice size as is was never really over crowded. the onlly concern i had was the small pool area for the younger ones was seperated by a metal gate which one of the bars had come loose and my little boy cut his finger. it was attempted to be repaired but only with plastic tie wraps?! the beach is a 5 min walk straight out of the hotel gates and is a stunning view however the beach itself is mostly pebble.
acharavi main street has plenty of nice tavernas and restaurants to choose from some lovely ones on the beach front and loads of shops, a traditional bakery or 2 coffee shops and newsagents, all just 5 mins from the complex.
Roda is the next nearest town 20 mins walk away along the beach front the beach there is sand.
my only down side were the rooms. they were very basic, which wasn't a problem really as you had a fridge 2 ring hob (only 1 worked) sandwich toaster and a random selection of cuttlery and plates. we had a 2 bedroom apt 1 dbl bed and 2 single.
while we were there our bedding and towels were only changed 3 times, on 1 occasion only our top sheet was changed! the bins were done every couple of days but with the sanitary issues in Greece this needed to be done every other day at least. some people suffered with mozzie bites but to be honest we never had a problem with them, you expect them to be about along with the odd ant and most annoying the wasps!!
overall our holiday was lovely and we would definately consider going again.

I went to Eriva with my friend in May 2008.
When we arrived the Manager was very friendly and welecoming. This soon changed though!
As we had early morning flights we had to be out of are room ealry on the monday. We asked the Manager were we could go in the night when the bar closed to which she shook her head and said i dont no. We were lucky though as there was an older couple there who advised us that we were allowed to sit in the reception area so we werent left in the dark when the bar closed and everyone went to bed!
The rooms in Eriva were extreamly basic but as me and my friend are only 22 years old we thought it wouldnt matter as we would be out all the time. We were wrong as there was nothing around in Acharvi we were advised to take the 20 minute walk to Roda and although Roda was better than Archarvi it was still poor. So this holiday is 100% not advised for anyone younger than 50!!
ALso the resturants were very poor as they were snack bars and all served the same thing (cheese and ham toastie, pizza, chips, hot dog, burger)
The beach in Arcahrvi was also very poor. It was a stoney beach although the water was loverly!
I found that most people that enjoyed there stay had been pensioners who had gone back year after year. The rest of the people out there i spoke to this included families and people of ages ranging between 15-45 said they would NOT be going back to Eriva or ARCHARVI.
The only good thing about our holiday was the weather and a couple of other holiday makers we met while we were there also there was 1 nice man in Eriva i think he was the Maintanice he was around 45 maybe but he was very friendly and pleasent
also if you dont like bugs/snakes etc DO NOT GO!! We were bitten by mozzies, there were loads of spiders, flying cockroaches, ants, milapeades, lizards and even a snake. This place is deffo NOT worth going too!!

We went on the 15th of June and stayed for 2 w. It was a very basic apartment, but we had a nice big balcony for each twin bedroom. We had a little bathroom, with a shower, a toilet and a sink ( which i accidentally broke. ) and we had 2 twin bedrooms. At the pool bar there were very nice people working and a very nice atmosphere if you wanted to sit out there at night.
The swimming pool was nice and warm. As you may have heard from other people, it was a very clean place and it was only a 2 minute walk from the beach, and a 4 minute walk to bars and restaurants. The sea is nice and warm all year through, and you can go to the tourist information shop to rent a car and book a few lovely, warm, sunny outings.

Really clean apartments cleaned every day and fresh linen and towels every 2 days. Great location - 5 mins walk to beach and tavernas. Ideal for those wanting a nice, quiet holiday.
There is a pool bar, which has entertainment a few times a week - we didn't tend to use this, as it was nicer to sit overlooking the sea in one of the tavernas. The pool was quite large, and it seemed easy to get sunbeds - the music was pretty load if you were trying to sleep off the night before, though.
Run by a friendly family who were happy to respond to any request. All in all, a great place to stay. Recommended.

It was the best holiday we have ever had. The people was really friendly and the pool was nice and hot. There was a lot of nice peaceful restaurants. The room was nice and cool and nice to relax in. The best people were Vivien, George, Amy, Jodie, Danielle, Jodies mum, all the scottish ones and Newcastle. The hotel bar was really nice and to have a relax and have a drink. There was a pool table and that was nice to have a game with someone else or watch a game.

The Eriva Apartments are family run...

Jul 2007, Miss L Wilkins

The Eriva Apartments are family run and are very friendly apartments. There was a variety of age groups and there was brilliant facilities. The bar served lovely snacks and William the barman was fab and knocked up some very yummy cocktails!
The maids cleaned our apartment every other day and were very thorough. Acharavi itself is perhaps quieter than we thought but if you want more choice in the evenings you can go to either Roda or Sidari. It is a 15 min walk to Roda which has watersports, restaurants, karaoke bars, bingo, quizzes, shops etc. This town was my personal favourite! Sidari is further, it was about 8 euros for a taxi there. It again has more and it also has a McDonalds too!
The only thing to be aware of is there are a lot of mosquitoes out there and we did get quite bitten. It is very green in Corfu but due to environmentalists, spraying has been banned so take a good repellent!

The Eriva Apartments are well...

Jul 2007, Mrs T WALBY

The Eriva Apartments are well situated close to a nice beach and a good choice of restaurants. The complex was clean but the apartments were not. We had a studio situated opposite the reception with our balcony facing the concourse where the coaches offload. The problem with this is that they wake you 3/4 times during the night, 1am-6am on mondays and fridays with their droning which hums through your apartment.
Our room had several problems, the fridge door seal was split and didn't shut properly, the kettle lid didn't shut, there were only two electric rings for cooking, no oven or grilling facilities, the spare bed is in the kitchen, the mattresses are lumpy etc etc.
The sunbeds were taken early and the pool area was always busy, don't expect any peace. Also be warned if you get caught using the air con with your door open even for a few minutes the owners warn that they may fine you a 100 euros, be careful.
But we enjoyed our holiday because we hired a car and toured the island and got to see some lovely places. The apartment was mainly used for sleeping, when you managed to get peace.
The best restaurants with the friendliest staff and best tasting food were the Acharavi park on the high st and Valentines on the beach front.

I have never been to Greece before....

Jul 2007, Mrs CURRIE

I have never been to Greece before. I had heard wonderful things about the food and people and it lived up to and above expectations.
The apartments were basic but very clean, change of bed linen and towels every third day on a 14 nights holiday. Only thing that blighted the holiday was the mozzies, a nightmare!! WE WILL BE BACK!
Our middle son who won't swim at home found his confidence in the pool, which in turn made everyone's holiday a joy he is now the proud owner of goggles and flippers .
William the barman is just a star with young and old
