Comments:  Just got back from my holiday at santa ponsa, stayed in the Deya apartments. There was three of us age 31...36.....40years, and what a great time we all had. The apts were very basic, staff nice and friendly,it is situated right in the centre of all you need for your holiday but if your boring and want to sleep all the time and dont like busy, noisy, mad crazy people going around and having fun then dont go here! Brilliant mixture of bars and eating places all around to suit eveyone, its a MUST to visit BAR REHAB if you go and if your a late bird...GREENHILLS is the best club there. I would deffo go back.....and deya is not as bad as some of these review say so dont be put off.

Comments:  Having just returned, we have been very disappointed. Apartments, although clean, were outdated and noisy, insecure and not s/c facilities - only 2 slow electric rings! No microwave or even kettle! The maid service was maybe 3 times during our 10 days. On arrival, with our 2 children, we were exposed to some obviously drunken teenage & sexual encounters - there was even a "bouncer" at the apartments. On our departure we were surrounded outside by Civil Guardia (serious police!) due to some "bloody" fighting - again we feel that this exposure was really unfriendly for children - and no bouncer tonight. The atmosphere here is volatile and sometimes dangerous. During the day however, a very different poolside for most of the time - when the families are around it's more friendly and less like a "meat market!" The noise was from night through til 6am and we apparently were in a quiet room! The patio doors initially didn't lock (although once reported were immediatley fixed) and we were afraid for the safety our our children (Madelane fear) to leave them in the area intended - so our two children slept with us for the duration. The 4 points of 10 for positives mainly earned by the helpful and friendly staff - both on reception and chambermaids. The staff are a credit to an unexpected disaster area! Really probably the description should imply the facts when you book the rooms. Excellent service is their primary boast.

Comments:  Just home from the Deya apartments in Santa Ponsa. I am 18 years old! Never again!

Accommodation was totally disgusting. Sockets hanging off the walls, doors broken, shower not working. I am speaking for all my mates when I say I would NOT RECCOMMEND THESE APARTMENTS TO ANYONE!

Comments:  You get what you pay for really. it was fine for us as we were a group of 18 year olds who were out til late most nites. The hotel staff were friendly. The hotel's location is ideal right next to the bars/clubs and only 5 mins walk from the beach, which was very clean. There was no problems with getting hot water and the rooms were very clean when we arrived.

However the only problem would be that the towels were only changed once during the week and at one point we had to empty the bin our selves!

There is a lot of nice places to eat on the far side of the bar, if their busy then their good!Really liked Kitty Oshea's and inferno very friendly staff, worth a visit. We were told that the resort wasnt as busy as it usually is.

Would recommand santa ponsa to all. Deya apartments would suit couples/young groups.Unsutiable for Families with young children due to noise and people returning to rooms in the early hours.

such a great palce. Would defo return!!

Comments:  we book the deya last minute for a cheap holiday. in my party there was myself my husband and my 5 year old also my friend and her husband and their 18mths old. when we arrived my friend and i got rooms on different floors and the standard in rooms were amazingly different. i do think it depends on what room you get as to how you would rate the apartments.
However for the price we paid for the rooms we werent expecting a palace and the accomodation is basic but you cant expect much more for the price paid.
In my room some of the electrical fittings had no covers which showed live parts and with having a 5 year old we had to cover it up the best we could. we had no problem with the water it was always hot and powerful.
we had booked self catering but the only practical thing provided was two hobs and a fridge there was charge for basic items such as a kettle and toaster.
i do think if you are a family with a budget and want a cheap get away the deya is suitable. the pool area is clean and the bar sells food and drink at reasonable cost.
i dont think i would return but enjoyed our holiday anyway

Comments:  We arrived at the Deya Apartments early in the morning and our first thought was "what have we paid for"! The reception staff were friendly and that was the only good thing about the hotel, if you can call it that.

The apartment itself was on the 7th floor and positioned just above all the pubs and clubs which proved to be very noisy until 6.00 am. As well as that, the bedroom was a bit like a prison cell, the shower was not much more than a trickle, no hot water, there were cockroaches in the kitchen, and the maids only cleaned the apartment once during the whole stay.

Furthermore, we stayed during the Euro 2008 finals which made the noise unbearable, which created an excuse for all the young people staying in the hotel to make even more noise throughout the night, what with doors being slammed, people running along the corridors at 1.00 am, drunks shouting across buildings.

The alley way leading to the reception smelt of urine and littered with plastic bottles, there were big cracks in the ceiling, the balcony railings were not very stable, there was a piece of concrete above the balcony waiting to collapse and hanging wires at the entrance to the apartment.

The area was awful and I would highly recommend you do not stay in this hotel as you will regret it, however I would recommend you go to the other side of the bay as that is where it is very cultural, and there are nice quiet bars. The beach is lovely and clean.

I would have given this hotel a zero if there had been the option!

Comments:  Arrived at the apartments, first thought was 'Oh My God' !! The place looked dirty.
When we arrived at our room I was pleasantly surprised, althought the decor was not to my taste it looked clean. I think that the rooms and furniture could do with abit of modernising. We had a top floor apartment, the view from our balcony was beautiful, overlooking the sea. We had maid service every other day, clean towels but not clean sheets. If your a light sleeper this is not the place for you, the singing and dancing goes on till 5.30 - 6.00am every day of the week. I thought it was great going to bed listening to all the Irish songs being played, It never kept any of our kids awake at all.
A great place to go is 'Dicey Rileys' the music and the atmosphere is great, We went there most nights. The best restuarant is 'The Duke Of York' The food is great.
Overall we had a great holiday, for 2 adults and 3 kids for 10 days it cost £998.00 and well worth every penny. I would definately go there again. If your the kind of person who worries about what everyone else is up to, then steer clear, the yound lads can get quite rowdy at times, but they keep themselves to themselves. The weather was fantastic too.

Comments:  The Deya apartments is an ideal twenties or 18 to 30's holiday, not for families or anyone elderly. We were surrounded by Irish bars and nightclubs which stopped open till 6am. Great if we didn’t have the kids with us, there was nothing for children at all to do only the pool, which was large and clean, it was only open from 10am to 6.30pm and the bar was not very well equipped for drinks and snacks.

We stayed for two weeks and never had our bedding or towels changed once, but there was a large amount of toilet roll. The room was not very well equipped for self catering at all. The items we got to help were removed from the room by someone; tin opener, mugs and ice, when and who by nobody knows because we never saw a cleaner in the building while we were there.

There was glass all over the balcony which we had to clean up ourselves, the patio door didn’t lock, the air conditioning didn’t work, we had cockroaches too, which I thought was unhygienic.

We made the best of the two weeks holiday we had but we didn’t hear one person say they enjoyed there stay at the Deya.

It was built in 1964 and refurbished in 2002 but what they did to it and I couldn’t see! It was dated, dingy and unclean.

Comments:  Not sure where to start - these apartments are right in the heart of the night-life in Santa Ponsa.
We asked to be moved from the right hand side of the block as the booming music was coming from all directions and there was no way anyone could get any sleep. They moved us over to the left hand side of the block where 2 apartments were occupied by the loudest Irish people you have ever heard, they even bought a microphone to make matters worse. We complained to the reception but things didn't get any better - people are banging on doors and running up corridors from 4am in the morning till about 7am.

Definitely not the place for a peaceful holiday. The apartment itself was very basic and could have done with a good clean.

Comments:  only gets a one because there is no zero option. Not sure where to start - these apartments are right in the heart of the night-life in Santa Ponsa. Buckfast shandies seems to be the thing along with Irish bare knuckle fighting on the TV in the bars. Drunk could'nt get his key to work, wrong apartment, so just bust the door down. Santa Ponsa is a great place but any hotel in this area is going to be ultra noisey. But the Daya is the pits. Good pool but the guy behind the pool bar is so grumpy. That probably why there was ever half a dozen at the pool at any time.

Comments:  Just got back from the Deya apartments - never again. We were placed above a disco which starts at 12.00 and does not finish until 6.00am! Impossible to sleep. I need another holiday to catch up on my sleep. If it wasn't the loud music from the disco it was rowdy youngsters coming home in the early hours screaming and shouting, moving furniture etc etc.

Apartments very outdated and dirty. The floor was not cleaned the whole time we were there, room missing light bulbs so not all the lights worked. Kitchen very very basic with only two cooking rings which take half hour just to warm up, the fridge was dirty and had not been cleaned before we arrived. All the maids do is make the beds and they are so miserable. Sheets not changed at all, towels changed once. Entrance is via a very dingy dark alleyway, which smells of urine.

Reception staff very friendly.

Location is great 2 minutes from the beach, lots of shops. Would return but not to the Deya.

Comments:  If you book the Deya apartments take earplugs with you. They are right above the strip which is full of pubs and clubs open all night, it’s incredibly noisy!

Apartments were clean, fresh towels twice in the week but no maid service other than that. Some refurbishment but overall pretty shabby and very poorly equipped.

Good big pool with reasonable number of loungers. Not a place for young children or light sleepers!

Comments:  This complex looked very old, the rooms were very basic and most things you would expect in self catering had to be hired. Gym was closed, bar was closed and we never saw a cleaner. It took about 20 mins to fill sink with hot water. The only good thing was the location. Please avoid this complex its not good value.
