We have recently returned from Goa, Club Mahindra. Whilst we enjoyed some aspects of the holiday, some other parts were very bad. Most people got the dreaded Delhi Belly, some to an extent that the doctor had to be called. The beach shacks whilst very cheap. Are an enviromental disaster, As there is little infrastructure in Goa the litter is not collected but burnt behind each shack or simply dumped. Rats abound. We went to several good bird watching areas. If you could ignore the litter and fly tipping, you could see some lovely birds. Everywhere takes an age to get to, as the roads are truly. awful. Building is going on everywhere with apparently no planning controls. The club Mahindra club is a time share resort. Therefore if you do not want to buy a time share you are put in poky rooms without any views. We found first choice reps helpfull but their trips were expensive. We did several great trips organised through Betty's Boats. Overall ,I would never return to Goa.
