I have been to Barcelona several times now and find it a fascinating city. There is always something going on and it is a mixture of stunning architecture, sunshine, beaches, shops and fun. La Ramblas is the best place, full of street artists and stalls. On this visit I went on a bike tour of the city, which I would definitely recommend. The tour was great fun and lasted nearly all day as we stopped off at a beach bar for some lunch as well. The hotel Albininoni is a 3 star hotel and is ideally located on one of the pedestrian street next to La Ramblas. If you don’t mind a bit of street noise then get a room at the front, which has a balcony where you can sit and eat your breakfast (bought from a local shop) and watch everyone on the busy street below
