Alexander Thomson Hotel

Never had a hotel as bad as this before 1/ lock on door never worked 2/ have the curtains ever been watched 3/ no hot water 4/ first 2 floors are used to house the homeless 5/ toilet door punched in 6/ no trouser press 7/ no hairdrier 8/ bar was shut and looked like not used for some time do not stay in this hotel

My family and I had the misfortune to be sent to this hotel after the original hotel we had booked into namely the Devoncove Hotel alleged that our room had been damaged by flooding. The receptionist at the Devoncove advised us that they used the Alexander Thomson Hotel when they were over booked. an awful hotel to stay in.I dont even know where to start with this review? We stayed there and the fleas are still with us!the staff were rude and un-helpful,the room was filthy. our bathroom was half painted and the other half untouched. our kettle leaked terribly,not ideal when having a cup of tea although we wouldnt have wanted one after seeing the dirty cups we had in the hotel.as with another trip advisor we experienced other guests who looked to be down on their luck, and experienced scarry characters who swore loudly while in the... more
