Marriott Hotel Glasgow

Excellent Hotel. Late 12.00 checkout is a bonus. Leisure facilites good but pool could have been a wee bit warmer. Resident ceilidh band "Bahookie" was terrific. Well worth staying the night just to listen to them. BEWARE! Do not touch anything in the mini-bar unless you intend to consume them. The notice "inside" the fridge tells you about the sensors - when items are moved you will be charged. How are you supposed to have a wee rumage about I wonder. My wife and I have just returned from a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. Other hotel chains could do worse than to follow The Marriott's staff training programme, every member we encountered were polite, cheerful and helpful. Our room was a bit on the small side but decor & furnishings were excellent. We will be using here again in future. By the way breakfast was superb.

This hotel has an impressive entrance and the lower floor looks inviting, but the food was really awful, greasy soup, dry and cold steak and a rubbish dessert. We waited and waited for the food sitting neglected at a wobbly table, others were complaining too, just horrible. Rooms OK though if small and noisy, get a room at the front. Also hookers in the corridors, and the rest of the clientele made for a bad weekend.
