Maradiva Villas Resort and Spa

We stayed here for a week during August. It really is difficult to compare this hotel to any other, because it is just in another league. The villas are huge, luxurious and extremely comfortable. Each one has its own bose sound system, an outside sitting room area and your own plunge pool. The service is quite simply fantastic. I've never had such perosnalised and warm service. My fiancée and I visited this resort when under the Taj Exotica brand and put simply it was totally and completely in a class of its own. Quite literally the staff will go to any lengths to ensure you stay is perfect. We had fresh fruit served from a silver platter whilst soaking up the rays on the beach and our sunbed turned 'magically' whilst we went for a dip. Excellent hotel services and facilities, villa amazing, staff very friendly throughout hotel, excellent water sports, best of all was the teppanyaki at Cilantro - blackened cod better than Nobu! honeymoon package definitely worth while doing, we really enjoyed our candle lit dinner and champagne breakfast on the beach ..... keep up the good work Maradiva!

We are just back from our first visit to Mauritius. Being not particular keen on beach holidays but looking for a place with some warmth and sunshine after (cool) South African safaris in July we decided to go to Maradiva. A choice we surely not regret. Maradiva is beautiful resort, nice big rooms, but what reminds me most is the excellent quality of the food and the services. stayed here a couple of years ago and i have to say it is was one of the most amazing holidays i have ever had the service from the moment you arrive is first class, the rooms are huge(villa suite) fresh fruit daily, cold towels round the pool, great food. things you must do, get one of the boat boys to give you a tour and see the dolphins also heli-lunch a truly amazing experience and not to be missed

We stayed at the Maradiva for two glorious weeks from 14/6/09 to 27/6/09 and without a shadow of a doubt, this was the best holiday we've ever had mainly due to the atmosphere, surroundings, and staff at the resort. My husband and I visited Maradiva Villa Resort and Spa from 22 June-2 July. We have visited many 5 star hotels worldwide and Maradiva has surpassed them all! ! We love the service in Dubai hotels, but again Maradiva and Mauritius in general come out on top. The level of customer service at Maradiva is first class. We visited here to look around and have a drink. The hotel was the former Taj Exotica and has recently changed management and name to the Maradiva. The villas are out of this world, spacious and the Presidential suites have 2 bedrooms, sitting room and kitchen with outdoor area and private plunge pool and butler service. I so agree with StarSprinkles (1st April review), this place is is simply superb! thanks to many other reviews on tripadvisor, we went there for our honeymoon in Jan 09 with mixed expectations. But things kept getting rosier from the moment we stepped into the reception. After a genuinely warm welcome and swift check-in, we were excorted to our Villa 101. firstly DO NOT BELIEVE the other reviews saying it isn't all that. This place is paradise on earth! We went on our honeymoon here in july 2008 and had the best time ever. The staff couldn't do enough for us, everyone knew our names and greeted us whenever they walked past, food was expensive, but amazing! Breakfast is worth going there for alone!!
