Hotel Actual

My wife and I found the hotel to be very conveniently located. Up Gracia (which extends inland from Placa de Catalunya just opposite Las Ramblas) almost to the Avinguda Diagonal. Just before Diagonal turn right onto Rosello. The hotel will be on your right a couple buildings in from Gracia. The staff was very cordial and accomodating. We were impressed with their hospitality. the interior design of the room is very modern and chic, the room and the bathroom is spacious. But don't expect that you will see Casa Mila, cos you will only see the roof. The buffet breakfast is very nice and more than enough, you can have a few kind of cheese, bread, cereal, yogurt, fruit, juice, tomato, egg, bacon, ham, various choices and you can take as much as you can.................but it's not included in the room rate. it takes 20 euro for each person! A very nice hotel, centrally located,extremely helpful staff and wonderful breakfast.Just opposite "La Pedrera" of Gaudi in a very reasonable price!When in Barcellona again,no doubt,we'll go there again

We spent four nights at Hotel Actual in December and found it to be very modern and clean with a friendly, helpful staff. The rooms were a bit tight, but nothing unusual for Europe. It's located just far enough off the main street to be pretty quiet at night and there's a Metro entrance right across the street (very convenient as Barcalona is a large city). I highly recommend this hotel-we stayed in six during the course of our travels thru Europe and found this one to be the best value for the money.

Lovely hotel in many respects. Clean, nicely furnished (if modest and small) rooms. Pleasant service, great location and pretty good value for money in a city that is well overpriced when it comes to decent hotel accommodation. However, the main problem is the lack of internal soundproofing. The odd rumble of the metro below was not a problem, but the minute another guest or housekeeping stepped into the room above, it sounded as if someone was refitting the room. Hotel Actual is quite a nice hotel really. The location was ideal for me - I found the main tourist areas of Barcelona (Las Ramblas, Barri Gotic, etc.) to be far too noisy/seedy/dumpy for my tastes so I'm quite glad I decided to stay in L'Eixample. It's only about a 20 minute walk to the tourist areas, and there is a major Metro station immediately outside the hotel (Diagonal). We stayed at Hotel Actual for 5 nights. Our room was very nice and was very quiet. The staff all speak English and are very pleasant and helpful. The location of the Hotel is excellent close to everything. transportations ,shopping and Restaurants.

great hotel located behind gaudi's "casa mila", at the top of passeig de garcia near the av diagonal small hotel but staff are very friendly and helpful, rooms lovely and breakfasts are great - will definately stay here again

In center of town, small hip hotel, wood panelled - modern, great friendly staff who went beyond the call of duty to assist. Affordable too. All round, a good bet.

We had a couple of nights at the Actual on a pre-Christmas break to Barcelona. What a great little hotel. Friendly staff, great location (near La Pedrera), clean trendy rooms and all at a cheap as chips price. Need I say more.
