Anita Argo Hotel

I vistited Athens for 2 days in October and needed a cheap and safe hotel considering that most of my days would be spent sightseeing. This hotel is not in the heart of the city near the tourist center of Monastiraki but still has its own nightlife and atmosphere. The rooms were clean and seemed to be just rennovated in time for the Olympics. Public transporation by Metro was just a 7 minute walk away from the hotel and from there you can get anywhere you want in the Athens quite easily. I did a trip to Athens in mid April on a shoe string budget. I used Hostelworld to book Hotel Anita. After reading hotel reviews I went in trepidation, but was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and quietness of the the location of the hotel. If the staff were a little more friendly I would have rated this hotel as excellent. The only drawback as far as location goes is that it is about 20 -30 mnts away from Athens.
