This was the noisiest hotel I have ever had the misfortune to stay in. There is a nightclub in the hotels "function room". Large bill board on side advertises "70/80/90's Party Nite". The night manager was very unhelpful. We had booked in for two nights but left asap after... more

Good Value Basic Hotel
Weekend break with friends to catch up with other friends. Bright and cheerful reception, having to pay £2 per night car parking not really acceptable. Small rooms, little dated but clean however no toiletries except hand soap, very basic tea tray no biscuits. Good breakfast efficient service and good value at £7. Late night noise from other rooms a problem as little or no sound proofing (you could hear everything and I mean everything!). But comfy bed and excellent pillows to stick your head under helped. Have stayed in much worse and... more
Does the job
I stayed here for 3 nights, arriving Friday leaving on Monday. The hotel is easy to find and the car park had plenty spaces, although you are charged £2 per day to park there. The hotel is close to Altrincham metro link which is ideal for getting the tram into Manchester city centre. The hotel rooms are of a good size, the bed comfy and bathroom clean. The hotel is quite noisy, on the first night we could clearly here the conversation of the drunk people next door, and their very loud TV. Our room was unfortunately at the end of a... more
Faultless
Stayed 1 night prior to an early flight to Dominican Republic. We have stayed here before so knew what to expect. When we first went here we had major problems getting parked but this time parking was easy as was check in by a very friendly girl. Our room was fairly roomy, warm & clean. We ate in the restaurant & had a set 3 course meal for £10 the food was outstanding. There were 4 of us & each meal was beautiful, the chef is an asset to this place. We had drinks afterwards in the bar & there was a function on but it caused us no... more
Fit for purpose - not for the discerning traveller
To begin there were no parking spaces on arrival which is not a great end to a long, hard day. Check in was quick and efficient. I enquired about the availability of room service meals and was told I would find a menu in my room. My room seemed to be at the furthest away end of the top floor and it was quite a trek to reach it but on opening the door I was pleasantly surprised. It was huge! The decor and furnishings were decidedly average but I was pleased to find a decent TV, working kettle, loads of teabags and milk, clean bathroom... more
What a fantastic hotel
I arrived at the cresta court after a long journey. When I arrived, the hotel looked a little old fashioned. When I went into the reception area, I was met with a lovely smiling face, thereceptionist asked me if I wanted to be upgraded. I declined as I was only staying for the one night. I went to my room, although small, it was really lovely, the decotrwas really nice and the bathrooms was lovely and clean. As I didnt know where to go out at night, I ate in the restaraunt, think it was called detorris. I had a really lovely meal, and... more

Thank you for your comments. I am pleased to hear that you enjoyed your experience at Cresta Court and we all look forward to welcoming you back in the near future.

Can't see what all the moaning is about
Stayed here on saturday night of august bank holiday and paid just £39.50 room only for a twin, great value as we were up in Manchester for the football, rather than pay £160 to stay in the city we opted for the cresta court. The room wasn't huge but was cosy and the beds comfy, flat screen tv on the wall and fairly new looking bathroom. Breakfast buffet was £7.50 each which was fair value for a decent breakfast. The hotel is a 15min tram ride to Old Trafford or 25mins to city centre, best idea is to get a day ticket (£4) or... more

i was at a party that was good but then stoped over and i did not sleep all night as there was a lot of men runing up and down the hall ways and puching the walls as they was going passd and kocking on the doors i told staff about this and i was told that some one will get back to me that was 3weeks ago but im still waiting for them and iv called the hotel and staff keep passing it from one to the other the treatment that iv had from staff is the worst iv ever had in all my life and i would not tell any one to stop here

Thank you for your comments. Firstly may I spologise for any inconvenience caused during your stay with us. I believe you did speak to a number of our Managers at the time including myself. It is unfortunate that sometimes others do not respect the privacy and comfort of all our Guests and on this particular occassion we actually asked the people in question to leave the Hotel. I do hope this will not stop you staying with us in the future.

If you have to.
The Cresta Court is not going to blow you away, but if you need a place to sleep and you aren't too fussy you should be fine. No views and a poor shower in the room I had didn't make me love the hotel any more. Personally, if I had to stay in the area again, I would be looking elsewhere before re-booking here. However, I did get a good last minute rate of £39 for the room only (hot breakfast was an extra at an acceptable £7.50).

Avoid if you can possibly help it
The decor and quality of furniture etc is very dated in this hotel, and not particularly clean. We stayed two nights and think when they cleaned the room after the first night they just made the bed and replenished the tea/coffee facilities. This is a hotel that advertises itself for weddings and functions however it was generally felt that the wedding we attended was not well organised by the hotel and it's staff. I found a lot of the staff to be quite rude especially the waiting stafff e.g. huffing and puffing if we asked for... more
Management response from rburns2012

Thank you for your comments. The Hotel holds many events and Weddings through out the year and it disappoints me to hear that ont his occassion we did not meet your expectations. We have a good reputation in the local area for providing excellent service at good value for money. Our breakfast room can seat 75 people on a single seating but of course from time to time during peak periods the room can fill, this though is certainly not the norm. Although we do offer a large number of parking spaces for our residents there is no way we can guarantee a parking space and if on the rare occassion a guest cannot get a space we certainly would not charge for it. We do feel we offer good value for money and appreciate all of your comments.

Nasty hotel
First impressions count. I pulled up in the car park at 10.30 pm on a Friday night. There was no space to park due to people using the night club (although I had pre booked parking online). Finally I arrived in reception to see a stream of scantily dressed 'ladies' heading for the nightclub which fittingly enough was loudly playing TRAGEDY. Upon entering the lift I was warned by one of the people in there to not touch anything as to not get dirty. Nice! I thought that was bad - until I entered the room. It was the last thing I... more

Thank you for your comments. Unfortunately the Hotel only has a limited number of parking spaces which on a few rare occassions have been full for a limited time on a particular day. We do not have a night club within the Hotel although we have a number of event spaces which can be hired privately for Weddings, Parties etc. I am sorry that you feel the Hotel room was small for your needs. We offer a selection of different room types depending on our Guests budget and we feel that they are value for money and that our rooms offer a high level of comfort and amenities for the rates offered.
