Abba Garden Hotel

We stayed here in a standard room for 4 nights early June. The hotel suited us perfectly as we didn’t want to be in the city centre. It was peaceful and quiet day and night!
It was only a short 10 minute walk downhill through a lovely park to reach the metro which is a really cheap and efficient way to travel (there’s even a free hotel taxi on call to shuttle you to the metro if you don’t want the walk). However, the walk back in the heat is quite tiring so the bus service may have been better. We didn’t try it but the bus stops were located about 50 metres from the hotel. Taxis could be booked at reception. Take hotel directions with you if you want a taxi back as we found some of the taxi drivers had no idea where the hotel was and expect to pay about 10 Euros.
The staff were friendly and polite at all times. The rooms were clean and spacious and the bathroom was huge. We got fresh towels each day and the maids made our beds. We requested a non-smoking room and were allocated one on a designated non-smoking floor. We had a buffet breakfast in the hotel one day which was really good and had an excellent choice of food.
The pool was lovely and quite big (certainly a lot bigger than any rooftop pools!). There were sunloungers and a poolside bar. There was a small outdoor play area for kids next to the pool (swings, slide). There were also other sports areas scattered around.
All in all an enjoyable stay and recommended as a relaxing hotel outside the city centre.
