Holiday Inn Cambridge Hotel

Hi, I stayed at this hotel on the 12th April 2007 and can confirm this is an excellent choice. Good points: Nice modern rooms, nice breakfast, good gym, nice pool, sauna, steam room etc... Bad Points: Little in the middle of nowhere so you are limited to the hotel restaurant unless you drive into town, I would not rate the restaurant food I ate as more than ok, no problems, but nothing special. Got an excellent rate of £85 for an exec room inc breakfast, booked direct on their website.

Went to a show at the corn exchange, spent a Saturday night there. The hotel is in a good locaton for the town(£6 taxi ride) and the executive room we had was clean,spacious and managed to sleep through the whole night without being woken by hotel coming and goings, (A FIRST!) Staff freindly and helpful, and the breakfast was good . Would stay again if I return to the area.

Stay at many Holiday Inns and this is a real nice one. Nice lounge, good staff, relaxing. Rooms were tidy and clean and overall a nice base for Cambridge. Tip: Book through UK Leisure Saver Rate to save a mountain on the room charge. The restaurant was rather slow however and attention to detail went missing. Took a while for order, meals slow. No drinks attention, etc.

An excellent hotel a couple of miles outside of Cambridge. The hotel itself is located two miles North of Cambridge, not a particulalry pleasant walk but the number 7 Citi bus goes from nearby to the centre. It is about a £7 cab ride back from the Northern part of the city centre. The hotel itself is close to the A14, although it seemed to be pretty well soundproofed and we certainly didn't hear any traffic noise.
