Crowne Plaza Cambridge Hotel

Do not under any circumstance stay here. It is overpriced, the rooms on the street are poorly glazed, the service is awful, everything about this hotel is awful awful awful. We will never ever return to this hotel. Only go if you want poor service, cold room service food and to waste your money.

The first thing that greets you on arrival at this hotel is the smoke from the bar attached to the hotel and this pervades the entire atrium area, which itself is pretty dirty. We were then given a smoking room after booking non smoking. The reception staff were very polite but could not move us as the hotel was full. They did open the window but it was very noisy outside. This hotel is wretched. The climate control system is out and will be for months. This means that rooms are "ventilated" with table fans. Some rooms' windows face the interior atrium (this means looking straight out at the registration desk) and cannot open. Such rooms are essentially sweat boxes on warm days. The hotel is also currently surrounded by work sites so it is very, very noisy (especially since one has to leave the windows open to get any air). The most unhelpfull staff ever met,tired rooms over priced and dont get me started on the food.Do yourself a favour and try elsewhere.
