fantastic holiday, the villas were lovely. the entertainment staff were brilliant with the kids and adults.loads to do and for once the kids didnt have chance to moan about being bored.the water park was great but the pools at the resort are also big enough, there,s also the wave pool so loads to do... food was also nice, only problem was the wasps but even they are bearable.there are free buses to the beach and into corfu town. one of my children got poorly and needed a doctor and the staff were brilliant, so was the doctor. this was one of the best holidays we,v ever had and would definatly go back...
" holiday overall excellent. Party... "
Submitted By: Mr C Smith
holiday overall excellent. Party consisted of myself, Wife and 2 kids aged 12 and 14. 20 mins from airport. rooms large with separate bedroom for the kids. Food good choice although the restaurant wasn't very big and there was sometimes a scramble for a table particularly at breakfast, aquapark brilliant opens 10am closes 7pm with free entry to hotel guests. Courtesy bus to the beach and corfu town every day except Sunday.
Beach brilliant with very shallow sea for approx 50 metres. Sand boiling hot. Evening entertainment is probably the weakest element although the local Greek reps try hard.
sofa double bed is a little uncomfortable. I found the reception staff helpful.
We thougherly recomend this holiday for families with young kids aged 7-14.

" This was a fantastic whitsun holiday... "

This was a fantastic whitsun holiday which we only booked about 10 days before going. We were really lucky with the weather as it rained the week before we went and then they had a heatwave while we were there. My 2 children aged 12 and 14 absolutely loved the water park and went in practically every day as it was free entry for hotel guests. The apartment was large with a small wall separating the double bed from the bed settee where the children slept. The food was great and although some food was repeated each day there was always a wide choice. The drinks were Ok but in th cocktails fruit juice was replaced by squash which doesn't really taste the same. The beer was ok though. The staff were allvery friendly and helpful and the animation team did their best to get people to join in games etc, but wouldn't push you into anything you didn't want to do.
Although the hotel is in the middle of nowhere there is a courtesy bus each day into Corfu Town which is well worth a visit. There is also a courtesy bus to Glyfada Beach which is really pretty but has the hottest sand I've ever stood on!
On the whole this was the perfect place for us to go for a week and I would definitely recommend it to families, although youngsters looking for a clubbing holiday should stay away as there is no nightlife around there.

" Arrived at Corfu airport in the early... "

Arrived at Corfu airport in the early hours of the morning with a very tired but excited child to be told we had been overbooked due to the Aqualand hotel double booking all rooms and we had to get on the Lord Travel bus because we were being transferred to another hotel. It turned out that the hotel accomodated all of the new bookings but not the ones booked in advance. We were not transferred near to this hotel but an hour and a half away to Kavos very inappropriate location for people with young children and substandard accomodation. To date this was the worst holiday i have ever had and found not just our child was unhappy but also many other families had the same problem. Med hotels have no customer service, they made us pay for the transfer to hotel we did not want to go too. I spent most of my holiday trying to rectify this with no luck so have since passed it onto ABTA. Please if you have similar stories to mine email me or watchdog dont let it happen to anyone else.
" Weather was really nice for the time... "

Weather was really nice for the time of year. I had not been on holiday for years so I didn't need anything to exciting to keep me interested, we went all inclusive for a cheap break and nice relaxing time, as I said sun was great, relaxing by the wave pool everyday was great. Food was average, not the greatest but not inedible, not much choice for kiddys though.
Entertainment... well they did their best I will give them that, but karaoke, bingo and that was about it, roof bars and main restaurant were shut due to time of year I think.
Oh yeah the guy on reception when we arrived was drunk and wasn't happy about being up at 3 am....
Apart from that Aqualand was great and free if with the village. Corfu town was on 20 min ride on bus, but we did feel a bit isolated at the park, its lucky we didn't want an adventurous holiday.
Lastly, on our final day a small and very friendly dog got attacked by a larger guard dog, the blood was horrendous, a lot of holidaymakers were upset, mainly as we had all cared for this dog all week and none of the staff were at all bothered this little dog was bleeding to death on their site... anyway after much caring and phoning, the dog was put in a taxi and taken to vet, where as a result of us all chipping in, he was patched up and sent to Holland with a new family to care for him.
So if you love animals, be warned its not a animal loving place...overall an ok time.

" Very bad start...was worried.... "

Very bad start...was worried. Stansted to Corfu, 3 hrs flight, a good start I thought - Arrived about 3.15am - it's 2 hrs in front of our UK time.
I didn't book the coach transfer with the holiday, as it seemed cheaper to do it myself and get a Taxi from the Airport once we arrived- 25 Euros max at that hour of the morning, 10-15 min transfer.
Got our cases and headed for the taxi's...but only to see our name and some other families’ names on a board... (Med-Hotel) All these people go to Lord Travel Office...
All were told that there was a problem with Aqualand Village Hotel and we have to go down South to Kavos (an hour’s drive away) much better Hotel they said "The Cavo Bianco," it had its own beach too but forgot to tell us about the P head clubbers wondering round the hotel lost.
Also had to pay more for the transfer too.
All we got from Med-Hotels/Lord Travel was speak to your rep in the morning and she'll tell you what's going on....great we thought?
Well anyway... we arrived at Cavo Bianco Hotel about 5.30am only to be asked why are we here and there's no room for you... by 7am a room WAS found, my 3 kids were shattered and fed up just hanging around waiting and worrying.
Got our heads down finally at 7.00am had a quick sleep, up for breakfast at 8.30am and then tried to sort out this mess. I got charged for every call I made BUT good news by 1.15pm a coach arrived and took us back to the Airport then a taxi from there to Aqualand Village Hotel.
Our location of our room was great (2205) right opposite the restaurant, close to pools and reception area and evening entertainment and not noisy. Nice enough rooms-proper little kitchen with fridge/freezer, cooker and microwave very handy for my little ones milk at night.
Nice little lounge area pull out-sofa with dining table, a 2/3 partition wall separating the two areas with MY double bed leading out to patio area. (Sheets could do with abit of lenor in there washing).Good working air-con and FREE, nice multi power-shower, towels got changed once in the week, extra money for the safe.
Food... Needs improving not a great choice nor a great deal of thought went into it- twice a week they have a very boring show cooking display which you also get smoked out. More setting area needed unless you like being elbowed in the side or drinks poured down your back by the little people.
Shoes and shirts to be worn in restaurant at all times. Ice-cream by pool bar all day long almost. They do nice Ice-cream shakes and there free too. Pool bar closes at 6pm and roof top and main reception bars STOPS at 11pm on the dot for AI-you can still buy them after then though.
They need more sun beds as a lot are broken, pool area not cleaned very well sticky under foot for the day before spilt foods and drinks. Plastic glasses not cleared out of the pools from the kids playing with them.
Entertainment could do with abit of a boost; water gym in the afternoon was ok-not forgetting the CLUB DANCE...hehe!
There's no lift to roof bar and that’s where there evening programme was held each night.
WATER PARK...Absolutely brilliant so much fun all the family and me. All you to do is pick up a new coloured wrist band every day from the front entrance. Show your room key fob and you'll get in FREE! Wave pool was great too.
Hiring a car is a must I'd say if you got a few kids it'll be much cheaper and easier then you can visit anywhere on the Island as it's small. All you need is your photo part full driving license.
We had a problems heading home too. Waited for our coach to come and pick us up at 3.00am as our check in was 3.15am. We waited and waited 45 mins later I asked the guy that was sleeping at the reception deck what should we do as the coach was late or not coming " he said it will come as you have your ticket". There's nothing I can do "so he said do... BUT told me that I could order a taxi- which I did and paid another 25 Euros. Only just made check-in they had all gone through... not queuing which was handy.
WOULD I GO BACK...? Maybe if they improved on the pool litter, hygiene by the toilets by main pool and seating area in the only restaurant which needs more space. Also the security on the out-bound flight home as terrible...our pushchair went though with bottles of water and drinks without being checked.
It wasn't too bad really(just me being picky) it was ok so don't worry too much, if you've booked or haven't found to many good reviews- we never went hungry and the waterpark really does make up with anything bad that might happen.
Just enjoy.
Booked with On the Beach and flew with First choice.

This was our first time to Corfu and I must admit when we arrived at the complex we were a bit wary as it appears to be in the middle of nowhere, however we did arrive at 4 am so probably didn’t see much during the short journey from the airport.
The meals were a little samey but there was always plenty of it and we never had a problem finding a table, and the food was always well presented. The staff were exceptionally friendly, from the chamber maids to the bar staff. At night there was entertainment laid on although we didn’t go it always seemed well attended. There are small tavernas up the road about 100 yards if you feel the need to go out. The pools are exceptionally clean and safe. We didn’t realise that guests were allowed into the theme park free until the end of our week but again once the staff found out I didn’t realise this they were very helpful in explaining how to get in, a simple matter of showing your band and giving your room number.
If you are after a relaxing holiday by the pool with the local town a few km down the road and a short bus ride away (tickets cost 1 euro and available from the on site shop) this is definitely for you. Only downside is the location, would we go again?
Oh yes!!

" When we arrived at Aqualand at 2.00pm... "
Submitted By: shaztelford1964
When we arrived at Aqualand at 2.00pm our room was not ready so we went straight into lunch. Fist impressions of the resort were good. When we were given the keys to our room we discovered we were not given the apartment we had booked. We were given a room with 4 single beds and a horrible bathroom. My husband complained several times over the next 2 days and in the end the hotel admitted that they had overbooked us however there was no rooms available until the sat - (we arrived on Tues).
As there was nothing we could do about this, we made the best out of it. The hotel is very, very remote - not even a little taverna up the road so you had no choice but to stay in the hotel. The wave pool and Aqualand park which are was free to hotel members are excellent. We used to go into the park at 10.00am, as soon as it opened and left when all the coaches started arriving. The food in the hotel was ok - you will not starve -always chips, rice and a pasta dish plus a couple of meat dishes. Good salad and sweet selection. You have to choose the time when you eat carefully as at times you end up waiting for a free table.
The all inclusive drinks were ok. The cocktails all tasted the same. My husband said the beer was ok. Free ice cream and snacks also available most of the day. Breakfast very hectic but the best meal of the day. The entertainment at night was terrible. The team try but they are rubbish. There is a selection of shows, grease, talent show Mr. Aqualand etc but they all were as bad as each other. Miming badly and useless dancing. The one thing I will say about this place is that you will only find about 20% English people there, the majority are Dutch / French and Belgian. So the entertainment is repeated in 4 different languages.
We did go into Corfu town one evening -that was ok. The weather was very unsettled when we arrived - in the first 5 days we had 2 big thunderstorms where it rained all day and night. We ended up sitting in reception playing cards as there was nothing else to do. Once the thunderstorms cleared the weather then turned very hot.
Overall we had a good time as we met some lovely people. Would I go again no- too isolated for us.

Really, really great place to go. Was my first time to Corfu and absolutely loved it. The Aqualand Village was a great base to stay in too. Only recommendation is that you HAVE TO HIRE A CAR to ensure you get to see all of Corfu's wonderful delights. A beautiful island, and without the car we had for a week of our two week stay, we would have only seen a quarter of the beautiful sights Corfu has to offer.
The hotel...we went all inclusive, you might as well for the money. It is not expensive, you get your moneys worth. We ate out a few nights of course you want a change, but for the price and what’s on offer I would definitely recommend just paying the bit extra for all inclusive. This includes cocktails as well as snacks. The pools are great at this hotel. The rooms were so spacious. We were put in an apartment. There was just two of us, we had two beds, a lounge, double balcony, kitchen, shower room and upstairs leading to a further 2 separate single beds!!
The water park is great, you were meant to get half price entry as it is literally on our doorstep. However there is a gate where park users get to use our wave pool, so we normally managed to sneak through there without paying!!
We both loved it and we are both adults, did not have any children! For all ages!

I really enjoyed going to Corfu town just from Greece the food was lovely, views were lovely I would go there again hopefully next year. The people of Corfu town spoke very good English and were very helpful it was easy to get food on a night. Hotel Aqualand has newly became a hotel as only used to be a water park both of these are great for the children i really enjoyed the water park all rides were safe and fun!

If you don't like wasps, don't go to this resort! We ended up getting stung and were constantly invaded by them! They are flying around in the dinner hall, actually landed on all the food, in the drink spouts and all around the pool area. It is impossible to get away from them!
The hotel food is the worst part of this holiday. They serve up the same food every night (sometimes left over from the previous sitting) and it is always cold.
The drinks are only free until 11pm, then you have to pay around €6 for one cocktail.
This is a very remote location. Unless you are prepared to hire a car or take the local bus (which is not free may I add) you will have nothing to do.
The entertainers are really bad singing a crazy song about shaking a baby?? Really weird people! They mime to every song and can't entertain at all.
If you are a young couple, family or elderly, I don't reccommned you visit this resort.
What a waste of money!
