Banks Mansion Hotel

The hotel was great. I was there 2 days and did not have any problems.
Staff was gracious and helpful. My room was very comfortable and clean. The rooms are smaller then a typical American hotel room.
But that’s Europe. So be aware of that if it is your first time.
Location is great, easy walking distance to a lot and the tram stops 20 yards down the street.
Breakfast is included and is it the lower level and was good.
I would not hesitate to stay there again.

If you are going to Amsterdam then the Banks Mansion is an excellent place to stay. The staff are really lovely and the price includes the full use of the minibar in the room, which is refilled every day and the full self serve bar in the lounge where there is wine, beer, soft drinks, tea and coffee along with light snacks.
It is quite centrally located and practically next door to the flower market.
The air conditioning was very welcome in the recent roasting hot weather.
Breakfast takes the form of a buffet although there are staff will cook eggs, porridge, pancakes etc for you.
Amsterdam itself was wonderful but hot, plenty to see and do. The diamond factories are worth a visit if you feel that you can resist temptation. The major downside was the number of mosquitoes that seem to be around at this time of year. All in all I would go again, and stay at the same hotel, but at a cooler time of year.
