It was a bit daunting at first having asked for a quiet room only to find ourselves directly above the entertainment stage. We were pleased with the apartment size and accommodation itself (apart from the lack of air conditioning, which is a definite priority for any improvements that the hotel owners may be thinking of making).
However, the holiday went from strength to strength as we realised that the music went off at around 11.20 which meant that my daughter could then go to sleep. The food in the restaurant was competitively priced and offered a variety of choices. Carlos, the DJ (and all round entertainer), was the high point of the hotel as he kept everyone entertained at night and organised water polo matches etc during the day. He meant that those people with young children who couldn’t venture far from the hotel had a fun night too!!
I would recommend this complex to other people with the warning that the nights are hot, hot, hot without air conditioning!!

Hotel is pleasant but towels were rarely changed and sheets were not changed at all. The rooms are extremely hot and a hired fan did not make a difference.
The resort itself lacks entertainment and we struggled to find things to do, lots of the offered entertainment was repeated throughout the bars and apartments.

The Revoli Aparthotel, Puerto Rico, this was disappointing for a 4 star accommodation, based on other 4 star places we have stayed this was more like a 2 plus 3. First thing we noticed on entering our apartment at three in the morning was the heat and traffic noise. No air con not even a ceiling fan (had to hire a fan for 16 euros) we were there a week and couldn’t sleep due to traffic noise, main road ran past hotel just outside our balcony. apartment was basic but clean except sheets weren’t changed for the whole time we were there, towels changed 3 times. we were on 4th floor, entrance, reception and safety deposit boxes on 6th, pool on ground. There is a pigeon coup above and we were greeted every morning with some nice art work on our balcony, (couldn’t leave anything out there ) we stayed in room 410.There was a nice enough pool, (towels reserving beds).souvenir shop, hair dressers, supermarket, usual kids clubs and games.
Was not what I expected from a 4 star.

Just returned from a 2 week holiday in Gran Canaria,(Puerto Rico). Our apartments were very nice, very clean, Maid service 5 x times a week.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great big swimming pool. Plenty of activities for every age group.
There was a kids club at the hotel, where the children were looked after brilliantly.
The food was ok, clean restaurant, with a good choice of meals, and snacks to choose from, although we preferred to eat out elsewhere.
Carlos the DJ, and entertainer, works really hard entertaining everybody during the daytime and at night, playing water polo, with the adults, and children, table tennis, darts etc etc.
A great variety of entertainment is on each night, with an array of acts, Very good, and worth watching.
Our rep Craig, was very nice and helpful, and was at hand if you had any problems, he would sort them straight away.
We had a great time at the Revoli Playa, and would go back again anytime.

Bit of a paradox because although I would not score the Hotel itself top marks, the Holiday I certainly would. Well, what’s in the Hotels favour...
1) Its location, although the steep winding road up to the Hotel was christened cardiac hill by all that stayed there, it was in comparison to many other hotels a veritable stroll.
2) The evening entertainment conducted by Carlos was fantastic and our 3 yr old daughter still wants to go back to throw the big dice (go there and you will see what I mean).
3) The resort itself is wonderful for all ages, my family and I all enjoyed it yet I know had I gone there 15 yrs ago with the lads I would have been more than happy.
And against ...
a) The rooms though clean were not exactly anything to write home about and the view from our room was well, erm a wall !
b) The pool was a little crowded for us so we went to the beach (which was within easy walking distance).
c) The resort has been plagued by reps, who stand inches from one of the most beautiful beaches in the Canaries trying to persuade you to part with your hard earned to go to another beach some 15 mins away??? I know!!!
Anyway to sum up, if like us you are looking for a Holiday that keeps the kids happy whilst keeping Mum and Dad content Rivoli is for you. Check out Oscars for a post beach beer and the boat up the coast (from the harbour) is vfm.

Me and my family stayed here for my 30th and got the room right above the stage.
Had a great time but the Spanish D.J didn’t like the kids on the stage, bar staff and waiters were very polite. Pool area very clean can’t complain at all.

We enjoyed the resort very much and will most definitely go again but we were disappointed with the Revoli Playa apartments.
We found them to be very basic and considering they are rated four star we did find it hard to believe that there was no air conditioning and no electric kettle also the road outside can be very noisy we have stayed in quite a few four star apartments and would only rate this one as a two star however the staff there were very friendly and Craig the Thomson rep was most helpful.
