we have just returned from a week at this hotel overall we had a good time a group of 11 6 adults 5 kids, hotel generally clean and tidy snack bar good breakfast was expensive to buy though 8 euros for a adult snacks not to expensive. hotel shop sold a good range at fair prices. pool area good always sunbeds we often came down to pool at 11am and there was always plenty to go around. my only complaint is on booking we requested a low floor with pool view, we were all given rooms on the top floor and we all had toddlers reception staff said they couldnt move us to a lower floor so i couldnt relax in room with kids near the balcony. but would go back again. entertainment a bit rubbish as it only lasted 30 minutes each night

Stayed here for 2 weeks in Sept 09. You will see a few positive reviews for this and yes I am sure people have good experiences here - but PLEASE don't take the risk comin here, it's not worth it!! As you can see from the below reviews the cleaners are a major issue.
Our cleaner knocked an expensive watch off the table and broke it. Hotel was awful and refused to pay - said it should have been in the saefty deposit box.......it is not supposed to be to stop the cleaner from breaking your belongings. The rep was very good but could not do anything - we have returned with a broken watch and report to try and claim it from Thomson head office.....we shall see.
Also, as we were leaving we heard a guest checking in who had paid for a single room and was being made to share with another stranger. He was not happy!!
Judge for yourself - but why risk this place on your well earned holiday and if something goes wrong you will have no help. If nothing goes wrong you will prob have a very average and enjoyable holiday.
Here are the facts:
Cons:
- Cleaners are very dodgy
- Towels only changed 2/3 times a week.
- Very very hot rooms even in Sept
- Sun loungers very uncomfortable and are fixed so cannot sit-up or lie down
- EUR 1 for a mat for them but had to be returned by 4PM
- On-site supermarket was very expensive, EUR 3.40 for 1 litre of milk.
- Bar prices are expensive (even in happy hour)
- Fans were EUR 14 p/w, air con was 34 p/w and safe 23 p/w. Very expensive again.
- We had no cold water in any taps, not even to brush our teeth
- Hotel will not assist or take responsibility for anything
- Heard other guests complain and several about cockroaches
- Basic things we expected for self-catering not provided, e.g. washing up liquid, sponge
Pros:
- Pool area very good and clean
- Semed to be enough sun loungers, but that was Sept. In peak time probably not enough.
- Very good location compared to other hotels. 10min walk to town and only 1 big hill.

firstly i would like to say that that if you are planning to book an appartment there you should take into consideration that the suposibly 4 bed appartments are satifactory for the maximum of 3 people deffinetly NOT 4!there are two single beds and one mini roll out bed and is smaller than a single.
most importantly during my stay i was alicated to room 107 (beware) i stayed in that room for 4 days! one my second day, when i came in from a meal out with my family i was welcomed by a huge cockroach running across the floor, followed by what was obviously it's baby. i siad ok i'm changing rooms, but oooh no the first choice rep LIED and siad there were no rooms avaible and said it would cost me a further 900 euros the change hotel.
third night i felt something crewing over me in the night, woke up in the moring to find two dead cockroaches on the floor beside the bed and one in the bed!!!!
complained again! they siad the room would get fumigated, waiting in all day. another lie as they did no such thing.
fourth night was cleanign up after the meal i cooked to find the creaters coming out og the plug socket by the microwave!!!!
i have been abroad a lot in the past four years and always booked with first choice and trusted them! in total i have given then over £10 000 of my money. after this holiday never again! the rep was rude and a liar, the hotel was dicusting i paid an extra £250 to change hotels so that i was not on a hill as my daughter has knee problem and yet we were still on a hill! i booked on flight meals and pre ordered a gluten free meal for my daughter, which there were no record of on the flight there and back!
IT WAS A JOKE AND A DISGRASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i travelled to puerto rico in june this year, with some family and friends. i have to say it was an amazing holiday. out of all the places i have stayed over the yrs in holiday destinations, the revoli was by far the best. It was very clean, staff were fantastic. everything was so near, food was cheap and beautiful. my favourite places to drink were harleys and the budda bar. i have booked with friends to go on the 19th of september again, and we will be staying in the revoli playa again. i cant wait.

Just got back from a 2 week break staying at the Revoli hotel. Good points - Rooms were cleaned on a regular basis. Fresh towels and the maids even do the washing up! Our TV was free so this was a bonus. Beds were very comfortable and our views were top notch. The pool was fantastic, my little boy had a whale of a time. Bad points - the entertainer Phil was very hard to understand, the activities were not that great and the shows were bad (except for the Snake Show which was very good). The Europa Shopping Centre is full of shops selling tat for high prices so stay clear and the people trying to get you into the restaurants can be pushy. However, we all had a great time and we would be happy to go back again.

Stayed there with my partner, 2 brothers, sister in law & a friend in June 09. came from Cork in Ireland. Had 2 rooms next to one another with a sea view. I personally have traveled all over europe and can honestly say in the past 12 years of me going on sun holidays, i have never stayed in a place as good as the Revoli. so clean you could eat off the floor. not a bug in sight. Cleaned every day except Sunday(cleaners need days off too). Towels changed everyday. Quiet at night. 10 min walk to main center, only €2.50 for a cab. Staff excellent especially Jason at the pool bar who came over to us every day and had a great craic with us. pool area spotless, reception spotless. Going back again in November to the Revoli. We all would highly recommend this hotel

Puerto Rico is beautiful, easy to get around and has plenty to offer all holiday-goers. The beach was immaculate as was our apartment complex, Revoli Playa Aparthotel. We will definitely return to the Revoli again for many reasons. We only ate in the hotel one evening as we like to try local cuisine and tend to go to the less "touristy" restaurants. "Bubbles", a restaurant within the shopping centre, was chosen by our 6 year old son to dine in one evening. The name and the appearance of the restaurant had me cringing before I even walked in..HOWEVER I was very very wrong!! Never judge a book by it's cover!! Fantastic service (really warm and helpful without being pushy or annoying), very reasonable prices and, most importantly, DELICIOUS FOOD! Cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. Huge choice of sides, not the usual fries, fries or more fries!!!! Myself and my partner decided on a main of Chateaubriand served with potato gratin and vegetables. Best meal we had on holidays. Our 6 year old had swordfish which also went down a treat! "Bubbles" is definitely worth a visit!
The only thing I had a problem with are the row of shops by the marina (Puerto Escala). We went into a shop called BAZAR FAIR DEAL II. It was certainly not a fair deal! We were looking at a video camera and had not yet decided whether to go ahead with the purchase. I was leaving my partner to decide while I went outside with our son. Before I left the shop I put €50 on the counter as my partners was holding the camera. I said "There's money in case you decide to but that. I'm waiting outside". Before I knew it the money had been taken from the counter and placed in the shop cash register (till)!!! We said that we had not yet decided to purchase the camera and asked for our money back. One of the shop owners (there seemed to be a number of them) told us they did not do REFUNDS!!! After a half hour of squabbling we left with €30 of our original €50 and 200 cigarettes which we don't smoke (we gave them to a friend). DO NOT ENTER THESE SHOPS AS NOT ONLY ARE THEY DISHONEST ABOUT THEIR PRICES AND THE ORIGIN OF THEIR PRODUCTS BUT THEY ARE ALSO COWBOYS!!
remember the name.........BAZAR FAIR DEAL II

What a brilliant holiday. The rooms were totally clean and so was everything else. The kids enjoyed the kidz klub with kez and ellen. Becky was brilliant and we all really enjoyed the entertainment. What a shame Becky is leaving. Our room overlooked the pool and the bar, and even though you would think it would be noisy at night it wasnt because the bar shut at 11. We will definitely be going back next year, because we think kez and ellen were good for the kids. We met some really nice people on our holiday and we would recommend it to everyone.

Just got back from the Revoli 2 days ago but really didnt want to come home. The kids loved the reps Krazy Kez,Energetic Ellen and the beautiful Becky(have to admit that im missing Becky myself).
The room was fairly basic but it was exactly what we needed,a bed, somewhere to shower and somewhere to get ready to go out.
Beer was only 3 euros not 3.5 as stated before.
Only problem i found was that of so many little ants, but even that was being dealt with by the brilliant staff.
Our room was directly in front of the pool and as such we had the sun from about 8.30 through to approx 6 pm.
The allround entertainment was good,i found myself on stage more than once,(much to the annoyance of some of the stiff upper lip brigade who tried their best to call me names for daring to enjoy myself, but who cares about boring people like that eh?)
All in all i would highly recommend the Revoli and will definetly be going back.
Sadly Becky will not be there next year as she is moving on to pastures new in a couple of weeks. If you read this Becs, good luck and wish we could've kept in touch.

Very nice hotel, and nice rooms.
Good and clean, and thats a big plus.
It was also a good thing that there was a restaurant on the hotel, so that we didn't have to go out every day.
we stayed there for two weeks.
Hot waiter! :)

We went for 10 days with my boyfriend. When we arrived, we were greeted by friendly staff but there were so many cocroaches in our apartment. There were loads in the computer room and by the pool aswell.
I was dissapointed with the balcony as it wan't very private - we were nagged by some french family next door. The room was clean when we arrived but by the time we left, it was filthy because the maids didn't come very often. The towels were changed only 4 times during our stay.
To be honest, I found the swimming pool, though very big, very dangerous too... the metal steps to get in and out of the pool were sharp and I had many slits that looked like papercuts on my hands. There's a big rock thing in the middle of the pool which a lot of people there (including me) smacked their head on. I got bitten to death by mosquitoes too! The one thing I enjoyed most about the hotel was the food, I have to admit it was amazing and so were the waitors. The food was served quick and it tasted delicious.
However the one aspect of the holiday that I really adored was the location. Even though it was quite a treck down a large and pretty dangerous hill to get to the town centre, there were so many restaurants and shops to choose from. It's a lovely area with lovely people. There is a waterpark nearby called Atlantida and I'd recommend it to anyone with young children :) Even though it's small, the slides that are there are pretty good but there's nothing major so if you're a bit of a thrill seeker, I advise you to go to Aqualand in Maspalomas. Absolutely amazing. We went there three days in a row - I'm smiling just thinking about it, it's so amazing :D
Oh and I'd also recommend the mini golf near the town centre, fun for all ages!
Overall I'd say that the location was brilliant, but the hotel was pretty average really. Impressive beach. Not quite a holiday from hell but if you wish to stay here, I'd advise that you stay in a better hotel. 6/10 for me!
