Prague is a fantastic city, the weather was amazing and there was lots to see and do. Spend a full day at the castle area but watch out for the 287 steps of the cathedral tower.
The metro is really easy to use but change is required for the ticket machines, which can be difficult to get so hang on to it. Also, as soon as you buy your ticket get it validated in one of the yellow arrow machines because if you don’t you can get a 400crown fine.
This was a fantastic city break and I can’t wait to go back. Be prepared to do a lot of walking!

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for our anniversary one year, and found it to be of a very good standard.
What made out trip so pleasant was the company of the receptionist, Jakob, who stayed up with us one night, telling us endless stories and drinking into the wee hours. At one point, he and my husband went outside and had a snowball fight as it had started to snow.
It made our trip thoroughly enjoyable and was excellent value, too.
