Four Seasons Resort

We have just returned from our honeymoon at the Four Seasons Maldives at Kuda Huraa. Despite being quite well-travelled, I can say that without a doubt it was the best holiday of our lives to date. It was an absolutely amazing experience and we could not have hoped or dreamed for more. The location and resort are just stunningly beautiful, but as many have said before, it is the staff that make this place so unforgettable. When we arrived at the Airport we were quickly met by wonderful staff of the Four Seasons who handled our luggage and whisked us off to the boat with no delay at all... The boat ride was great and it only took about 15-20 minutes... When we arrived at the resort, we were again met by staff who took us to the lobby to register and gave us tea and cold cloths.. First visit to the Maldives but stayed in several Four Seasons resort hotels before. This one is good, not great but it has something about it thats very laid back and relaxing. Sea water is great - although a lot of broken coral on the beach and just as you go into the water which means wearing some footwear for protection is a good idea - and beach sand is very clean, white although not quite as powdery as say beach sand found on Bermuda. We just got back from our Honeymoon at the Four Seasons in the Maldives and had a fantastic time. In particular: 1. The setting - the location is perfect - a very private small island surrounded by beautiful water. 2. Service - The service was amazing. Everyone knew us by name on our second day and all the staff were very accomodating. Also, as you'd expect from a Four Seasons, they anticipate all your needs before you think of them. 3. Just returned from my honeymoon in the Maldives for 7 days (after spending 8 days in Bali at the Oberoi and Four Seasons there, see my reviews). Here are my thoughts on the wonderful Four Seasons at Kudaa Huraa: 1. Service Excellent. The employees are extraordinary. The service impeccable. My husband and I stayed for 6 nights at the Four Seasons Kuda for our honeymoon. We stayed in an overwater bungalow. We absolutely loved the place! The staff are very friendly and attentive. The service is 5 star all the way. The food was excellent, especially in Cafe Hurra. Our bungalow was superb, comfy bed, excellent shower and toiletries. We stayed from 22-29 November in a beach bungalow with pool (#130) on the West side. This is an excellent resort with the high standards to be expected from FS. We plan on going back. Main points: 1. Service. Perfect – on a par with the Tongsai Bay (surely the gold standard) but with a lot more staff. This place is fantastic, from the moment we stepped off the boat from the Airport. Nothing was too much trouble. We've stayed in water bungalows before so decided to stay in a beach villa with plunge pool. The villa was faultless in every respect, beautifully clean and comfortable and from our bed we could see the reef in the morning, what a sight to wake up to. The Four Seasons Kuda Huraa is a terrific Four Seasons Property that delivers in almost every regard. Our overwater bungalow was terrific -- big, new, with modern conveniences (WiFi, big flat screen TV, ipod connectors), terrific water view, great bathroom. The gym was terrific -- great equipment, TVs, attendant that replaces your water before it is finished, and brings cold towels. The food in most of the restaurants was superb.
