Club Simena Hotel
Club Simena is located in a fertile citrus region between the mountains and the coast, approximately 15 km west of Kyrenia, the picturesque resort town of North Cyprus. The distance to the international Ercan Airport is 62 km. Club Simena was built in 1996, the architectural design of the building is in typical accordance with Mediterranean culture. The hotel stands two stories high and embodies a large outdoor patio with flower gardens and a large central swimming pool within its structure.

The hotel was fantastic – my favourite so far that we have visited in Northern Cyprus. It is not intimidating luxury, just very comfortable luxury. The rooms are spacious and nicely appointed. The outside is so beautifulyl landscaped and set far enough back from the road that it does not feel like it is on main road. The lobby has plenty of seating and the early evevning crowd has room to mill around, get snacks and drinks and chat before the restaurant open for dinner.
The restaurant is also great…You can choose to either dine room or sit outside, where you can overlook the swimming pool and feel the sea breeze on your face. My husband and I sat outside on the verandah and enjoyed our breakfast. I think we sat and ate for about 1 hour or so.
You will get to know all of the guests nad the staff because everyone is so pleasant and always offering tips on the best places to done, etc.

We stayed at Club Simena last summer. The rooms and the grounds at this hotel are beautiful and very well kept. The staff was always helpful and available whatever the situation.
The rooms were cleaned every day while we were away.
We never had to wait for the taxi no matter what time it was. They have two beautiful swimming pools: one is the main one and the other is for the kids.
There are sports and activities daily or you can get a massage or a workout at the hotel’s gym. The main pool has a swim up bar for food and drinks.
The sunset in North Cyprus are truly and the view from our terrace was awesome. We could sit and watch the sun set behind some beautiful mountains.

When we wanted to go out at night we just took the bus, which stopped at our hotel. It was a longish ride, but nothing terrible. There were a lot of nice – looking families at the hotel. The four of us were all 34 years old when we went and we wanted a relaxing, low – key vacation with the option of going to clubs. Our room was wonderful, very big and clean and pretty. The staff were very unobtrusive , and we are very low – maintenance so we did not interact much with them. The front desk was great about changing quids to turkish lira. We had breakfast every morning at the restaurant by the pool, always very good. The best part was the pool area – plenty of lounge chairs and the pool was big abd very clean. For most of day they had a “host” playing music and leading games. The quests enjoyed it, we weren’t interested. We love the swim – up bar and the tropical frozen drinks were delicoius but we did’t spend much on drinks anyway.

My husband and I visited Club Simena over Eastern weekend in 2007. Our visit was relaxing and luxurious. The property is beautiful, very clean and well maintained. It was quite and peaceful while we were there. The hotel is definitely not for those who come to party.
It is more for those who are looking to unwind and spend some quality time with family or friends. The pool is a good size. Our room was spacious, with a kind – sized bed, minibar, bathroom with a shower stall and a terrace with two chairs. The bed was very comfortable and Frette linens. Every room in the hotel has either a mountain view or an ocean view and the view from our room was absolutely gorgeous. We sat outside for at least an hour every evening just admiring the landscape.
The restaurants at the hotel are very good. For our fifth anniversary, we ate at the Club Grill, which was wonderful. On the way out, the host gave me a rose to take with me.The really made the effort to make our holiday special. We order room service several times and the food was always good and came fairly quickly. The staff at the hotel was very polite and helpful. Every time we saw a staff member, they greeted us. The staff at the pool was particularly helpful. They arranged two chairs with towels for us and peridically came by to see if we needed anything. The hotel is also a short driving distance of Kyrenia, which has a ton of shops and restaurants. All in all, our experience at Club Simena was wonderful. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good place to stay in North Cyprus.

There are big - resort amenities in a small and intimate enviromnent. There is Internet access, restaurant, bar . poolsnack bar, pool, gym, sauna, and even a minigolf course!!!
It is peaceful and quiet, yet only 20 minutes from Kyrenia downtown, with its hundreds of shops, restaurants and tourist attractions.
Our ground - floor unit came fully furnished. There was a sofa in the living room, full bathroom, mini - fridge, a color TV and the phone.
It may sound too good to be true, but seeing is believing!!! We loved the place!!!
There is a local friendly bilingual manager available for any questions or problems
It is the perfect luxury vacation at a very affordable price!!!

We were delighted to be greeted with a tasty frozen margarita after a hot shuttle ride from the airport. We could feel the night ocean breezes in the large - style lobby.
Our room was very welcoming, with a balcony overlooking the hotel's swimming room. We also had a fully stocked mini - bar.
Every morning, we would awake fully rested, which is quite a feat for such a light sleeper as myself. Our biggest decision every morning was whether to go to the pool or to the beach. The beach which was about a mile from the hotel was great. When we went there the hotel dropped us off and picked us instead of having to walk too far in the sweltering heat. There were never more than 12 people during the times we were out.
The disappearing horizon pool was very nice. The swim – up bar was the perfect place to sip a piana colanda and enjoy an afternoon snack.
We also indulged in a couple’s massage at the hotel spa. Although it wasn’t included in the room fare, the experience was blissful.
The staff was very attentive and seemed to cater to every need. Since it was my wife’s birthday, I arranged with the concierge for flowers and a cake to be sent to our room.
Our trip to Kyrenia was one of the most relaxing, I have had and staying at the hotel was a very important factor.

The desk clerk must have liked us, because she gave us a room w/a fantastic location within the hotel. We had ocean views out our bedroom window and balcony. Luckily, the hotel had a very good restaurant. The food and service were fantastic, as is their fun sunset pool bar.
Although the service and atmosphere at Club Simena were all exceptional, the location was a bit far from the city center, but the surroundings are so exciting, that it''s easy to forgive.
Activities is what we''re talking about here. Hotel arranged for scuba diving tours. (Staff is great) We loved tripping around town, especially because of the several hip shops and cafes.

This resort is great for families. The scenery is incredible and there is so much to do in this area, , golf, fishing, hiking, climbing, shopping and great restaruants are all jus tminutes from your door. The on-site amenties are great for the families as well. Mini golf, swimming, a gym and satellite TV boats are all free for guests. We just got back from a long fun weekend We will definately go back next summer. The staff went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable.

What an amazing vacation! We flew to Larnaca Airport where people of Club Simena were already waiting for us. The hotel was great, an amazing pool with a pool bar, a very well equipped fitness centre, a spa (which my wife loved), gorgeous tropical gardens (the smell of the flowers there, oh boy!!) and specially the staff, what a nice bunch of people (Meli you still owe me a beer if I can remember!!). Kyrenia has the most beautiful Harbour I have ever seen and the life style there is so quiet, so relaxing, I felt so invigorated when coming back home, to whomever is planning to take a vacation in Cyprus, Kyrenia is the place and specially Club Simena is where to stay if you want to be treated like you deserve!!
The views from the hotel are magnificent (with views to both the Mediterranean and the 5 fınger mountains who can complain??), the location was perfect (in an unspoilt, un-crowded area less than 15 minutes from the city centre), the food was great as well, really this hotel became a beautiful surprise.

We were the last to be dropped off by the coach which gave us some idea of how isolated we would be.
There was only one small shop a short walk away. This was very small and only sold basic items. The only restaurant opposite we never saw open. A guide book that we read said that car hire here is essential. We didn’t agree with this once we had discovered the shuttle buses which run extremely frequently along the main road to Kyrenia. However if you want to look for small beaches you would need a car. There is no access to the beach within walking distance of Club Simena. If you want to spend the day on the 2nd nearest private beach, complete with umbrellas, sunbeds and restaurant, ask the bus driver for "Escape Beach". There is a closer beach "Camelot" but this is smaller and we didn’t go there.
Although the outside of Club Simena looks quite attractive with lovely tropical flowers climbing over whitewashed buildings, inside is another story. Very basic rooms. Ours was very shabby. Broken furniture, bare bulb hanging from the ceiling, shower that would not fix to the wall, toilet that stopped flushing half way through our holiday. Our broken, ant covered curtain was changed for us part way through our holiday and this much improved the look of the room. Kitchenette had just a fridge and a sink. We managed to get hold of a kettle a short way in to our holiday.
We did actually get used to the simplicity of our room but a little more effort would have made it much more acceptable right from the start.
Pool was fairly small but clean and quite attractive. We spent 2 or 3 days in, just lounging round the pool and it was fairly quiet. A bonus as far as we were concerned.
Restaurant was unimaginative in its menu. Breakfast for us was always French bread with either a hard boiled egg or honey. There was cereal, fruit and cold meats. We didn’t risk the meats though as they were left on a table in a very warm dining room. There was no sign of illness in the hotel, however.
Everyone ate outside on the patio as it was too hot to eat in the dining room. The table cloths out here were, unfortunately, never changed and were food stained and dirty.
Best things about the hotel were the quietness and the pleasant staff.
We actually came to enjoy our holiday after we had got over the initial shock of seeing our room!
