Paradero Apartments

i wend to this hotel on the 09/09.11.for your moneys worth its ok but wouldnt stay again..bed were clean and changed and toliet clean and clean towels.your not going to spend your whole holiday in a room are you?cleaners are very friendly but reception staff were not so helpful.theres too pools you can use which were alright.hot water was a bit of a problem.never seen any cockroaches.phew.patio doors only locked with a pole.noise at night was a problem coz our appartment was next to a ally but thats just people having fun on their holiday.our last day we were told by a family who were waiting for our transfer that they were robbed and a couple of others while they slept but they had there patio doors left open as theres no air condition.i wouldnt stay here again and prob pay a bit extra through safety.hope this helps

i loved it there ideal if you on girls holiday right next to the beach and all the restaurants . its a good hotel

When we booked the holiday the travel company said there was a swimming pool and there was NO pool at Paradero II. We were dropped off outside
a strip club late at night and there were prostitutes on the street. The company we booked with did not give us any instruction that we had
to collect the key from the Cairbe apartment. When we found our room the kitchen sink was stained and there was a bad smell in the apartment
of stagnant water. The towels were changed every other day but they had marks on them It was VERY NOISY all night long, every night. We did not
get any sleep the whole holiday. We would never stay at Paradero II again.

Stayed in here for several weeks last summer and if the whole purpose of your trip is too party and have a good summer this is the place to go. Literally a walk away from all the bars and clubs however walking home late at night by yourself would not be advised a lot of "dodgy" looking people going around...But this however is not the fault of the hotel.
The apartment its self is reasonably clean however found to be a lot of ants/cockroatches but what do you expect as we were staying on a groud floor apartment?
There was plates etc howvever not really enough for 3 people.
Seems to be a good place to go meet new people ann the ground floor apartment join on to each other and meet together so you can pretty just walk on to each others garden areas.
However this does lead to my main concern about the complex. Security. At night time there is a security guard, which does seem to be pretty stirct. However in my time there i personally knew of 2 rooms that where robbed. One was a group of girls who during the day was robbed whilst they were in there rooms..And other was a couple. Someone managed to get in there room whilst sleeping. The places seems to be a target. During one of my days there, their was a spanish man shouting out for drugs and attached himself to people which was rather scary.
And my neighbours patio door did shut properly which is slighty worrying.
You can get a safe for a small cost which i would completely advise and to use at all times even whilst in the apartment. So if your careful you should be fine.
If you are thinking about using this hotel for a family get away..DONT. Its not really appropriate.
Staff all seemed very helpful although was a slight lauguage barrier..but what do you expect your in a forgein country. The security guard at night was delightful always willing to help with directions etc. And if nose got out of control was not scared to tell guests to put it down or chuck them out..

How hotels can get away with murder.
We booked 2 apartments for 6 days in Hotel Apartamentos Paraiso del Sol, Tenerife, through booking.com. When we arrived we were given a set of keys each and a gentlemen showed us where our apartment was. It was a bit far away from the reception but we thought it must be a very large hotel. The apartments were not even fit for pet animals. The floor had 6 different tiles all broken
with crawling insect nesting inside them. Windows broken. Electrical copper wires showing. Broken toilets and showers. Doors that would not open. Dirty blood stained linen. Broken wordrobe. Broken TV. Stained and dirty walls. Foul drainage smell.
However we are not the complaining type customers and we preferred not to complain to the hotel as we taught that this is the standard of this hotel and so be it.

However,When we arrived back to our hometown we searched booking.com again and looked closely at adverts photos and precise map location, we realized that in fact the apartment that we were given was in a different block called PARADERO II. We also iscovered that PARADERO II is an inferior complex, old and cheaper to stay in than Apartamentos Paraiso del Sol. So now we became furious as we realized that the disastrous state of our apartment was not the standard of the hotel we booked in but a cheaper one close by Apartamentos Paraiso del Sol. Obviously we felt cheated and very very angry that they did not tell us as to why they transferred us to a dumb area of another hotel. They never once mentioned anything about it and they tried to hide it from us that this was in fact another complex.
Anyway we wrote to them to tell them that we were cheated by them and that the very least they can do now is to refund us for the
money stole from us and also for spoiling our holiday. We also told them that we think that they broke the law, when they tried to give us an inferior and cheaper product than the one we paid for. Their response was in a nutshell was , That since we were stupid enough not to notice this ripoff while in Tenerife, we can kiss the refund goodbye.
Oh well , we said the very least we can do now is write a bad review on bookings.com, to tell future customers to stay away from this hotel. Guess what? Booking.com wrote back to us telling us.. "Sorry we cannot publish your review, because since we were cheated and given an inferior apartment in an adjacent complex you did not stay in paraiso del sol and therefore you cannot write a review on this hotel. Our reply was:- You should publish our story even more so whoever book with this hotel knows what to expect when they arrive. Sorry again thei reply was.
Unbeleivable.
Is this funny or what? And that is how you can get away with murder!

Avaoid this hotel like the plague. If you choose not to do so you are likely to be cheated and given an apartment in Paradaiso II which is inferior and cheaper.(Nothing better than a slum area).Oh and forget about getting a refund.
The place is a run down joint. Broken tiles, cockroaches, jammed doors, broken windows,
broken toilets blood stained sheets, you name it. And you have to cross a sewage canal full
of mosquitos to get there.The smell is unbarable. And beleive me,we are not the complaining type.
Customer care is zero. On arriving back home and searched booking.com again and realised we
were taken for a ride, their responce was something like:-, "Since you were stupid enough not
to realise we scammed you while in Tenerife, we got away with you money and kiss a refund goodbye."
Unbeleivable. but true.

Well i had not booked these apts to stay in i had booked the caribe but they had rang me on the way to the airport to say they had double booked my room and that i will be staying in the paraiso del sol.. I opened the door of the apartment to be meeted with cocroches. Within minutes of been in the place we discovered blood on one of the lockers nd also in the bath. The doors would not lock. therefore we had to leave our belongings in the caribe where friends where stayin. The place was filthy dirty the kitchen look like it hadn't been cleaned in years and to top it of the covers in the BED were filthy aswel and covered with burn holes. We didn't stay long here we soon changed to a beautiful hotel and didn't have to pay a penny extra the hotel was the Conquistador and would recommend it to anybody. But paraiso del sol is a NO GO!!!!! I wouldn't even rate it a 1...

After booking in at the Apartments sister hotel,we were orderd a taxi which was free to take us to the Paradero 2 complex.We didnt know at the time it was in easy walking distance.As a family we had booked three rooms on the ground floor,they came with a patio and a nice bit of garden.We found the rooms to be clean and comfy,and every other day the beds were changed and new towels were left.The rooms were swept and mopped and tea towels and dish cloths were left in the kitchen area.None of the five who went could fault there rooms.My only complaint was noise from the ajoining Apartments.We found the staff very freindly,and look forwrd to going back.I would give the Apartments 8 out of ten.

To be honest we were a little worried about staying here with 2 children (10 & 8yrs). When we did arrive we were allocated an apartment on the ground floor close to the pool which had no security lock from the door leading outside. The other main patio door had a lock and chain. We did complain to the guy on reception and he moved us straight away to an upper floor apartment the next morning(which I would recommend). The apartment was basic but clean and ample facilities for cooking. The apartments were cleaned every second day which quite clearly states in the literarture in the room and there is a safe also which can be rented for £8 euros to store passports/money/valuables.
The apartments are lively and more geared to younger people and there was always the noise of somebody returning to their own apartment in the early morning but it was quite easy to fall asleep afterwards. The pool area was ok, clean and teneded to be dominated by younger peoeple in the afternoons but as alterantive the beach is only 5 mins away which is always good. We found the reception staff very polite and attentive even when unfortuatley I was taken into hospital for a few days suffering from pneumoina!Thankfully now making a good recovery. For our children there was always plenty to do but would not recommend these apartments to families with younger children. All in all a holiday is what you make it, and people who you meet which on the whole was ok in comparison to other dearer properties that we have stayed in. We wouldnt stay in this apartment again as we never return to the same resort twice but for a cheap, last minute holday with the guarantee of sun these apratments were ok for all our needs.

The apartments are dirty, shabby and completely unsecure. There were cockroaches in the apartment and the inside of the kitchen cupboards were black and mouldy. The door didn't lock so during the one night we stayed there we had to sleep with passports under our pillows. Luckily our rep was great and moved us to a new hotel after our first night, there was no way we were going to stay there any longer!
